Russian scientists have managed to create a unique product that previously did not occur in nature. We are talking about the isotope nickel-63(Ni-63). This was done by specialists from the Mining and Chemical Combine and the Electrochemical Plant (part of the state corporation "Rosatom").

The director of one of these enterprises said that Russian scientists achieved this result by irradiating the natural isotope nickel-62. A similar procedure was performed in a nuclear reactor with further processing. As a result, the resulting resource was divided using gas centrifuges. This kind of de facto achievement brought Russian scientists closer to the creation of an "eternal battery".

It is reported that the main property of the new Ni-63 isotope is its energy capacity. It is so large that it is several times larger than all available batteries, not only in Russia, but also in the world. It will allow not only surpassing the most modern counterparts, but creating compact batteries that will last more than 50 years.

By the way, such nuclear batteries will be completely harmless to humans, that is, de facto, they are even more environmentally friendly than existing counterparts. Russian scientists were able to achieve this effect by conducting soft beta radiation, where there is no gamma. As a result, all hazardous radiation is absorbed by the battery itself and does not escape. At the moment, the project of such nuclear batteries is in the active stage. The developers have already received the passport characteristics.
