However, even such a process requires labor - Homo sapiens, for the most part, is not very susceptible even to this version of cognition.

I often read reviews of my work, where readers refer to certain authorities, such as the apostolic interpretations. Most of them are taken for dogma and are defined only by the word of God. But it was written in Switzerland, in a quiet whirlpool of Europe, where it is very difficult to get an author who informed the world about a certain catastrophe on which a taboo was imposed. And yet the poet begins with the words: "I had a dream … not everything in it was a dream."

In starving Switzerland, snow fell every month, and a state of emergency was even declared there. Hunger riots swept across Europe, crowds thirsty for bread smashed grain warehouses. The unusual cold led to a catastrophic crop failure. As a result, in the spring of 1817, grain prices increased tenfold, and famine broke out among the population. It is not customary to talk about the famine of 1816 in Europe, but the facts of that time, and especially the grain of Russia that poured into Europe in 1817, speak for themselves: Russia saved Europe from hunger. I repeat, there is very little data, but they are, and those that I received in some archives in Europe are even more impressive.

So what happened. Today there is a pseudo-scientific version that appeared 100 years after the event itself, belonging to the American W. Humphreys. Here's how he explains "YEAR WITHOUT SUMMER"

In principle, the scientific community is not in vain leaning towards the volcanic version. After all, the numerous atmospheric phenomena that accompanied the "year without summer" indicate the pollution of the stratosphere with a large amount of dust. And only a volcano or a powerful nuclear explosion (a series of explosions) could throw several cubic kilometers of dust to a height of more than 20 kilometers. I will not talk about nuclear explosions created by the hands of people or aliens, let's better understand the essence of the problem, relying on logic and facts.

So let's get back to Vesuvius again. Let's take as a basis of reasoning my version that in 79 AD, when Pompeii perished, there was no Vesuvius yet. This huge waste heap will appear later, in the era of massive mining in Europe.

To the west of the ancient and beautiful Italian city of Naples lies an area called the Flegrei Fields (Campi Flegrei - burning fields). If you fly over it in an airplane, you can see that it is all covered with ancient, half-eroded volcanic craters. Roads, hippodromes and houses are built right at their feet and even inside - as the former fire-breathing vents have over time turned into giant bowls with a relatively flat bottom. In fact, these are not craters, but real quarries in which mankind, using slave labor, extracted minerals. This is the entrance to huge quarries, underground caves from which ore was mined, the waste rock of which was poured onto Vesuvius. If you look at this volcano from above, you can clearly see that first a flat-topped mountain was poured there, and then the now-known volcano cone was poured onto it. That is, Vesuvius is a mountain on a mountain. Moreover, in the complete absence of rocks necessary for a natural mountain, Vesuvius has a layered structure, just like the Donetsk waste heaps.

Beneath it are the voids of the mines, in which there is a huge accumulation of methane, because there is no forced pumping of it. In addition, there is a lot of rock for the extraction of which quarries were created.

The burning temperatures of the waste heaps are very high and in the underworld under the waste heaps many processes begin, among which burning is the most harmless. Vesuvius is a growing chirium connected by fiery lava channels not with the Earth's mantle (I generally doubt that it exists), but with what he himself produced under him, launching processes under the pressure of his own weight. Obviously, a fire in the quarries began during the hours of their operation, and the mining engineers of that time decided to flood them with the waters of the sea. Unfortunately, it was too late, the water only created a thermonuclear reaction and led to the formation of a void, now filled with a boiling mass of fire, which we used to think of as magma from the Earth's mantle. Here one should recall the well on the Kola Peninsula, where the drilling depth reached 9 km and no magma was found. The depth of the magma under Naples is very small: from 1 to 2.5 km and its lake is expanding. This process is irreversible until the entire surface of the underground lake is revealed and it begins to cool naturally. I repeat, Vesuvius has no connection with the bowels of the earth. This is the most common burning waste heap. All this was told to me not by historians and scholastics, but by mining engineers who work every day in the Donbass mines and perfectly understand the essence of the process. However, we will not judge the great poet who brought the terrible events of 1816 to us, albeit in the form of a dream. It is not known how we would have behaved in his place.
