The article by Professor A. I. Krashenyuk, the founder of the first in Russia department of hirudotherapy and natural methods of treatment, shows the reasons for the decline in fertility and deterioration in the health of pregnant women and newborns. The author's program "Healthy Children of Russia" is proposed as an alternative.

Oleg and Oksana came from the small Ukrainian town of Mogilev-Podolsky, Vinnytsia region. In summer, the town is buried in greenery, life is measured and calm. But the inhabitants of this town do not forget that one day, in the midst of spring, on April 26, 1986, autumn suddenly came - the leaves suddenly turned yellow on all the trees.

This happened shortly after the accident at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant, when the town was covered with a deadly radioactive cloud of an exploding nuclear reactor.

Sisters Natasha and Oksana recall how in those days sprinklers constantly drove around the city, washing away traces of radioactive dust, traces of the Chernobyl accident from trees, bushes and buildings.

In the year of this tragedy, Natasha was 16, and Oksana was only 10 years old. 5 years later, when Natasha became a student at the St. Petersburg University, and she was overtaken by the consequences of that radioactive cloud that fell on the streets of Mogilev-Podolsky. The consequence was terrible, at the age of 21 she was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. Then there was an operation, sessions of radiation therapy and chemotherapy.

Natasha recalls that after completing the cycle of treatment, she could hardly independently climb to the 2nd floor, to the Department of Hirudotherapy and Natural Methods of Treatment (At present, it has been transformed into the Institute of Hirudotherapy and Natural Methods of Treatment). She turned for help to Professor Krashenyuk Albert Ivanovich. It took several years to restore Natasha's vitality and working capacity.

Now she is a senior manager in a foreign company operating in St. Petersburg. Practical healthy, energetic and cheerful person. Today he is reluctant to recall those difficult days.

But "trouble does not go alone." After the marriage of Oksana's younger sister, it turned out that she was also seriously ill. Did the doctor make a disappointing diagnosis? Small cystic degeneration of both ovaries. There was no hope of having children.

And now Natasha herself brings Oksana to a familiar department in St. Petersburg, her husband Oleg to Professor A. I. Krashenyuk.

A year later, Oksana's treatment was successfully completed, which was confirmed by the birth of a completely healthy girl in Oksana's due date. The girl was named Anastasia. Very early on, the child showed unusual abilities. For example, already at two weeks old, the child was able to distinguish between "friend and foe". The girl began to read before she spoke. At 2 years and 4 months, the child showed the gift of foresight. Little Nastya predicts the weather and events related to loved ones.

Oksana works as a teacher in a secondary school, plays a lot with Nastya developing games, and could not help but notice that Nastya is significantly ahead of her peers in psycho-emotional development.

Once, when Nastya was still a year and two months old, Oksana and Oleg stayed with relatives in the village and stayed there to spend the night. Nastya did not sleep all night, waiting for her parents, and the grandmother had to calm her granddaughter all night.

In the morning, when the parents arrived, Nastya took both of them by the hands and led them to her children's table. On it were the words: "The parents are alive" were laid out in cubes. The child did not yet know how to speak, but he had already written, expressed in writing in words his emotional experiences that did not allow her to sleep.

Observing the development of Nastya, Oksana noted that at the age of 2, Nastya was ahead of her peers by 4-6 months in her development. The birth of Nastya caused a furor already in the hospital. The child was given the highest score of 10 points on the Apgar scale. Such children have not been given birth in the hospital since the Chernobyl accident. All the staff of the maternity hospital came to look at Nastya. Nastya was the first.

… This short and amazing background allows us to touch upon a very important topic for Russia - the possibilities of modern hirudotherapy, as a field of Ayurveda, in solving the problem of conceiving and giving birth to a healthy child. Krashenyuk's spouses and colleagues have been dealing with this topic for more than ten years, even before the problem of depopulation was identified by our President.

“Among the most pressing tasks facing the country today, the first place is given to the fight against depopulation - the extinction of the population. “If the current trend continues, the nation’s survival will be in jeopardy,” says the Address of Russian President Vladimir Putin to the Federal Assembly [1].

In his seventh address to the Federal Assembly on May 10, 2006, Vladimir Putin again paid special attention to two problems - family and demography. The President of the Russian Federation considers the demographic problem to be the "most acute problem" in Russia. According to official data as of January 1, 2006, the population of the Russian Federation decreased to 142.7 million people. “The problems of economic and social development are closely related to a simple question - for whom we are doing this,” the president said. - You know that on average, the number of inhabitants of our country is decreasing annually by almost 700 thousand people. We have repeatedly raised this topic, but by and large, we have done little,”the head of state stated. To solve the problem, the following is necessary, he stressed. "The first is a decrease in mortality, the second is an effective migration policy, and the third is an increase in the birth rate."

Academician IA Gundarov in his book, “Demographic catastrophe in Russia: causes, mechanism, ways of overcoming”, analyzing the pessimistic forecasts of authoritative demographic centers regarding the future of the Russian nation, notes: “… a history book or find breakthrough noneconomic technologies to get out of a desperate situation "[2].

In the early 90s, the health of the population of Russia began to deteriorate sharply. By 1994. the incidence of many diseases at once increased: blood and hematopoietic organs by 86%, genitourinary system by 37%, circulatory organs, digestion, nervous system by 15-20%.

The number of newly diagnosed infectious patients increased by 25%, including those with tuberculosis by 41%. The prevalence of coronary heart disease has increased during 1985-1995. by 130%, including angina pectoris by 72%, myocardial infarction by 338% [3].

A pronounced increase in the incidence contributed to the fact that in 1992-1993. the dynamics of mortality has increased sharply: its level has risen 1.5 times compared with the mid-1980s. The greatest growth was observed among the working-age population, especially at the age of 20 - 49 years. According to the criteria of medical science, such processes are defined as an epidemic.

The amount of human losses turned out to be so significant that it was identified as the most important event in world health at the end of the twentieth century [4].

At the same time, there has been an incredible decline in the birth rate. The process was also epidemic. The maximum rate of decline occurred in 1987-1993. During this time, the number of new residents born annually has almost halved. If in 1986. there were 17, 2 per 1,000 population, then in 1993. –9, 2, and in 2000 –8, 4 ppm. As a result, the country lost over 12 million potential citizens. A decline in fertility was observed in women of all reproductive ages, including young women under 20 years of age.

Total fertility rate (CF), i.e. the number of children per woman 15-49 years old dropped critically from 2, 2 in 1986-1987. up to 1, 2 in 2000.

For simple reproduction of the population, its value should be 2, 3-2, 5.

In fact, the CF value turned out to be even lower if we take into account the high infant mortality in Russia: after birth, up to a year, two to three times more newborns die here than in Europe. As a result, millions of Russian women were deprived of the happiness of the desired motherhood.

The above is convincing that the country is experiencing demographic degradation. The total losses due to the rise in mortality and decline in the birth rate amounted to more than 17 million people.

An attempt by scientists to explain the demographic upheavals taking place in Russia also gave rise to the emergence of a new scientific direction - “the epidemiology of spirituality” - the science of mass moral and emotional processes taking place in society [5].

One of its directions is "psychodemography", which studies the relationship between mental and demographic phenomena. Here "spirituality" is interpreted not in a religious sense, but in a secular one.

The most important discovery of “psychodemography” is the conclusion about the existence of the law of “spiritual-demographic determination”. It reads: "All other things being equal, the improvement (deterioration) of the spiritual state of society is accompanied by a decrease (increase) in morbidity and mortality" [6].

However, the problem of the quality of health of children born at this time seems to be no less important.

At the VI Scientific and Practical Conference "Central Mechanisms of Speech" held in St. Petersburg (April 18-20, 2001), it was noted: 80% of newborns are at risk, 60% of children have speech disorders, and 80% have complex ones.

An essential circumstance affecting the health of a child is breastfeeding.

And here the picture looks very depressing. When examining 141 women registered for pregnancy in the antenatal clinic No. 13 in St. Petersburg in 1999. and those who gave birth in 2000, at the age of 19 to 33 years, it was found: 31% of women fed a child on average from 6 to 12 months, 29% of surveyed women breastfed for more than a year, about 30% of women fed a child on average from 6 to 12 months, 10% of surveyed women did not breastfeed at all. Already in this period, the formation of an immunodeficiency state takes place, which will then determine the entire future life of the child. The desired feeding period to build up good immunity in the baby requires a feeding period of at least 15 months.

According to the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation (1997), over 60% of children entering the first grade are at risk. Of these, about 35% are those in whom obvious disorders of the neuropsychic sphere were found in the younger group of kindergarten. The number of primary school students who do not meet the requirements of the standard school curriculum has increased 2-2.5 times, reaching 30% or more.

According to medical statistics, for nine years of schooling (from grades 1 to 9), the number of healthy schoolchildren is reduced by 4-5 times, accounting for only 10-15% of the total number of students. The poor health of preschoolers (in 1994, only 15% of children were considered healthy) is becoming one of the reasons for the difficulties of their adaptation to school loads. The tense rhythm of school life leads to a sharp deterioration in the somatic and neuropsychiatric health of a weakened child [7].

There are more and more at-risk children every year. So in Moscow in 1940 there were 108 auxiliary schools, and now there are more than 2, 5 thousand. These numbers make everyone shudder: teachers, doctors, psychologists.

Let us turn again to the Address of the President of the Russian Federation to the Federal Assembly, which speaks of the need to increase the birth rate. What kind of children for health reasons are women in Russia giving birth to today? And let's think about how to influence this catastrophic situation.

It should be noted that in recent years the issue of the need to improve the nation's health has been not only an object of attention on the part of specialists, but also one of the leading directions of the policy of our state. Direct evidence of this is the holding on May 15-17, 2001.in Moscow of the 1st All-Russian Forum “III Millennium. Ways to the Health of the Nation ", which offered practical ways of not only achieving the maximum level of health in newborns, while maintaining a high level of maternal health, but also a clear, scientifically grounded system of preparing partners for conceiving a child with an increased level of health and intellectual development [eight].

The question of preparing and giving birth to a child is relevant, especially in our time, since, according to statistics, one of the main reasons for the increase in the number of children born with mental retardation is environmental pollution. Those. the reason, as it were, is independent directly from the woman in labor herself.

Another reason for the appearance of children at risk is a medical reason - pharmacological and mechanical obstetric effects on women during childbirth.

It is known that childbirth with such influences, as a rule, entails the occurrence of local speech defects and can cause developmental delay (these are mild birth trauma, non-gross intrauterine lesions of the central nervous system, prematurity and a number of other harmful effects).

In third place is drug addiction, alcoholization of the female body. It has been proven that the use of alcoholic beverages and drugs weakens the body of a woman in labor and, of course, affects the child. As a rule, in such cases, children with mental retardation are born. And in fourth place hunger is named the reason for the birth of mentally retarded children. The same problems exist in other countries, however, not always in the same sequence. For example, in India, hunger comes first.

Without the provision of timely medical and psychological and pedagogical assistance, deviations in the development of children become more pronounced, affect all areas of mental development.

Analyzing the reasons for the decline in the birth rate in the country, it should be noted that gynecological dysfunctions increased by 240% among women, and the prevalence of infertility increased by 200% (data for 1990-1998). Men also showed an increase in the incidence of reproductive injury. As a result, primary infertile marriages among young people began to occur in a number of regions in every fifth family [8]. It follows from this that even if all newlyweds want to have children, not all will succeed. Previously, it will be necessary to conduct a course of treatment and rehabilitation measures on a national scale.

Characterizing the possibilities of overcoming depopulation in Russia, Academician I. Gundarov writes: "Overcoming depopulation in Russia is possible in 3-4 years through non-economic regulators having a moral and emotional nature. The structure of health measures should consist of 20% efforts to improve the standard of living and 80% - the quality of life. First of all, it is the achievement of social justice in society and finding the meaning of life."

It is difficult to disagree with this statement, but one should not forget about the possibilities of new medical technologies that can significantly improve the quality of children born today.

The most ancient knowledge in the field of medicine - Ayurvedic medicine or Ayurveda suggests ways to solve this problem. Professor in the field of Ayurveda K. V. Dilip Kumar in his lecture given in St. Petersburg notes:

People inherit their constitution from their parents. They receive it from the genetic body at the time of conception, when the sperm and the egg are combined into a zygote. The sperm and ovum are also composed of five bhutas, and they have their own doshas. … an increase in one of the doshas (in the sperm) above the norm can lead to pathology and even death of the embryo.

In cases where there is a fairly strong imbalance of doshas, but not enough to kill the embryo, a child with congenital diseases may be born. Those. the imbalance that was in the sperm at the time of conception will determine the constitution of a person for the rest of his life [9].

If we draw a parallel between the concepts of doshas and the energy-informational structure of the human body, then the closest to this concept should be attributed to such dosha as vata, vata by its nature is very subtle and invisible, unlike pitta and kapha. And in this sense, we can talk about the inferiority of the zygote on the basis of the above, if it shows a deficit in terms of the energy-informational state.

What are our real possibilities to influence the state of the zygote, and hence the quality of the children being born?

Over the past decade, we have discovered new biological and therapeutic effects of hirudotherapy (treatment with leeches):

1993 - the discovery of the energy-informational effect (Krashenyuk A. I., Krashenyuk S. V.);

1996 - discovery of a neurotrophic effect (Krashenyuk A. I., Krashenyuk S. V., Chalisova N. I.);

2001 - discovery of the acoustic effect in leeches (ultrasonic effect) of hirudotherapy (Krashenyuk A. I., Frolov D. I.).

These discoveries made it possible to substantiate theoretically and propose practically new technologies of treatment with leeches (systemic method of treatment, Krashenyuk A. I., Krashenyuk S. V., 1992), the technology of preventive use of this ancient method of treatment, known to mankind for about 200-250 centuries. In our work [11], it is noted that hirudotherapy is one of the branches of Ayurveda and is now widely used in India, the country that gave Mankind the knowledge of Ayurveda.

The essence of the method is that its use in married couples with a preventive purpose a few months before conceiving a child can significantly reduce the risk of having a sick child with cerebral palsy (infantile cerebral palsy). In addition, children born with the use of hirudotherapy as a preventive method are distinguished by increased physical parameters (a high level of Apgar score of 9-10 points), are distinguished by a high level of intelligence and are ahead of their peers in terms of psychoemotional development.

The proposed approach allows to improve the quality of children born and in relatively healthy couples, i.e. not only in infertile couples.

An important circumstance is the ability to restore reproductive function in men, which today is one of the most important problems of andrology (the science of male health).

Today, many women are afraid of having children, not only for economic reasons, they are afraid of giving birth to a sick child.

The widespread use of the proposed method will significantly reduce the number of children with cerebral palsy, as well as significantly improve the quality of the nation's health over the next 15-20 years, and, provided the economic situation in the country stabilizes, create a situation in which Russia will stabilize and then acquire and positive trends in demographic indicators.

This conclusion is based on long-term observation (more than 10 years) of the birth of children from infertile parents, in whose treatment the systemic method of hirudotherapy was used.

Already today we can say with confidence that a revolutionary breakthrough has appeared in defectology, based on our new technologies in the field of hirudotherapy, thanks to which it is possible to rehabilitate children with psycho-emotional development disorders and return them completely healthy for life in modern society [12].

It is also necessary to collect bit by bit the invaluable experience of our ancestors, who knew how and knew how to give birth to healthy children, knew how to take care of a future child even before his appearance in God's Light [13]. In particular, the birth of a child in the aquatic environment, the participation of the father during childbirth and contact with him in the first minutes of his birth - all this was part of the “methodology” of our ancestors. The revival of these traditions in our time is a good sign and is reflected in the deep documentary "Who Rocks the Cradle?" (Lennauchfilm, 2001, directed by V. I. Matveeva).
