Towards pension reform in Russia: data on average pensions of citizens have been published in Spain, over the past 10 years they have been growing all the time. The average pension in this country, only a couple of years after recovering from the most severe crisis, is 1,079 euros, which is equivalent to 58.5% of the average salary in the country. Thus, taking into account the current exchange rate of the ruble against the euro, the average pension in Spain in terms of the Russian currency exceeds 85 thousand rubles.

And the highest pension in Spain currently exceeds 2,600 euros (more than 205 thousand rubles).

Over the past 10 years, the pension-to-wage ratio in this European country has grown by more than 10 percentage points. During the same time, pensions have increased by almost a third, while salaries - by only 7, 3%.

And this increase happened just at the time of the financial and economic crisis, which became a record for Spain in terms of unemployment and a mortgage crisis, led to an increase in debt obligations to 100% of GDP, as well as to the growth of the national liberation movement in the autonomous region of Catalonia.

Retirement pensions in Spain are calculated based on the salary for the last 15 years before retirement. In 2013, a pension reform was launched, which implies a gradual increase in this period to 25 years by 2022. At the moment, the calculation is based on data from the last 21 years of operation.

By region, pensioners receive the most in the Basque Country, where the average pension is 1,333.8 euros (about 105 thousand rubles). It is followed by Asturias (1,310.6 euros or 103.5 thousand rubles), Madrid (1272.3 euros or about 100 thousand rubles) and Navarra (1223.2 euros or 96.6 thousand rubles). The lowest pensions are in Extremadura (889.7 euros, which equals approximately 70 thousand rubles) and Galicia (899.5 euros, or about 71 thousand rubles).

At the same time, the highest average salaries are in Madrid (2301.9 euros, about 182 thousand rubles), the Basque Country (2128.3 euros or 168 thousand rubles), Catalonia (1980, 8 euros or 156 thousand rubles.) and Navarre (1945, 7 euros or 153, 5 thousand rubles.).

And the lowest average wages were recorded in the following regions of Spain - in Extremadura (1426 euros, or 112.6 thousand rubles) and in the Canary Islands (1556, 2 euros, or approximately 123 thousand rubles).

Spain has long been among the countries with the highest life expectancy for both women and men: Spaniards live an average of 10 years longer than the rest of the world's population.

Life expectancy in Spain is 83.3 years.

Recall that, for example, in Italy the average pension is about 20% higher than in Spain. There it is about 1300 euros. However, over 70% of Italian retirees receive around 1000 euros. Former civil servants have the largest pensions, with an average monthly pension income of around 4500 euros.

In Italy, people retire at 66 years and seven months - both men and women alike. The size of the pension in the country directly depends on insurance premiums and is calculated according to a complex scheme, which takes into account both the amount of wages, and the age of retirement, and various coefficients.

In addition to pensions, there are also social benefits in Italy, which are paid to elderly low-income citizens from the age of 66 and 7 months, if their annual income does not exceed 5824 euros. In this case, instead of a pension, Italians receive an allowance of 448 euros per month.

Life expectancy in Italy is 83 years. Life expectancy for women is 85 years, compared with 80 for men.
