If you have ever been interested in amazing structures, looked on YouTube about the Egyptian pyramids, megalithic complexes like the English Stonehenge and the Armenian Karahunj, then you have probably heard about Baalbek at least out of your ears.

Compared to him, all other wonders look like cute constructions for playgrounds. What is found in Baalbek is generally difficult to fit into any scientific concept because of the transcendental gigantism of stone blocks taken for the construction of structures in the so-called Roman style. Excavations in 2014, the results of which very few people know, revealed even more oddities that put official science in an extremely uncomfortable position. It turned out that building from blocks weighing up to 1000 tons or more was not a problem for the inhabitants of this ancient city, while for our generation this is a work of prohibitive complexity. In a quarry near the city, in addition to the already well-known South stone weighing 1050 tons, another block was discovered, and it is more than one and a half times larger than the South one!

But first things first. As a warm-up, let's look at this antique gazebo, which has only one columns - 19 meters high. This is the temple of Bacchus, or Jupiter.

The building stands on a terrace with three famous limestone slabs in its masonry; they are the Trilithon of Baalbek, absolutely incredible in size and weighing about 800 tons. Each brick is, on average, 21.3 m long; height - 4, 8 m and width - 4 m. Huge blocks are located at a height of 7 meters from the ground level. For comparison, in the masonry of the notorious pyramid of Cheops, the largest block weighs some 90 tons - in general …

Do you want it seriously? Almost a kilometer from these temples, there is a limestone deposit, where another world celebrity lies - the South Stone or in the ancient Arabic "Gajar el-Kibli". This little one was never removed from the quarry, but appears to have been prepared to complete the platform of the temple. Its weight is some 1050 tons. This block has been known since antiquity and is one of the largest man-made stones in the world. The length of the block reaches a little over 20 meters, and the width and height of the stone - 4 meters each.

As you can see, initially the South stone was, as it were, dug into the ground with one end, and everyone remembered it just like that. But in 2014, the site was excavated, and an even larger megalith lying under the South Stone was revealed to the world. Its weight is approximately 1650-1670 tons. How much, how much?

Also found were 15 small caves with burials dating from the Byzantine period. The new megalith has not been completely excavated. The height and width of the twin of the South Stone were about 6 meters, length 19 and a half meters.

A group of researchers from the "Laboratory for Alternative History" with the participation of the famous scientist Andrei Yuryevich Sklyarov worked on the site. What is this - a common natural fracturing, as geologists say? Or an alien laser cutter? Or a banal concrete technology? Although it is hardly banal, if everyone is still puzzling over how it all happened in such a miraculous way. Maybe at first one part of the step, on which the man sits, was cast and hardened, and then new concrete was poured into it, and a gap of zero thickness remained at the junction. Or they poured everything all at once, but for some reason a thin plate was stuck in this place, and when the concrete froze only partially, the plate was taken out, and the freezing concrete slightly blurred, leaving such a gap. In the same quarry there is another unfinished megalith, it is less known and not so big - this is the so-called Northern stone, which someone has already begun to saw into large even bricks.

Here is what an alternative researcher from the Laboratory of Alternative History, Andrei Kuznetsov, says: “Measurements have shown that the altitude of the quarry is at least 20 meters lower than that of the trilithons that during transportation … the blocks were lifted at least to a height of a 5-6 storey building. In addition, trilithons were not cut out of the rock at the maximum height, but, on the contrary, from the depths of the quarry. we have three … no, two huge blocks weighing 1050 and more than 1600 (thousand six hundred) tons, as well as perfectly even cuts of an unknown nature. And now what to do with it and how to live with it? It is quite obvious that it is impossible to build such a thing without high-tech equipment that surpasses modern ones.
