Ground Forces Research Center officials said they are working with To The Stars Academy (TTSA) to study various "metamaterials" that could be useful in the defense industry. That being said, the TTSA gained prominence in 2017 as a UFO research organization. Experts believe that the US military has found a new article for spending the military budget and a new legend to cover up the development of secret weapons.

The Ground Transportation Systems Development Center for the Combat Potential Development Command of the US Army has confirmed that it is participating in a joint research project with To The Stars Academy (TTSA), which the American media describes as an organization dedicated to the study of UFOs and unidentified atmospheric phenomena.

At the same time, it was the representatives of the United States Army that became the initiators of the joint project. Under the contract signed between the TTSA and the research center in October, the US military is interested in research, in particular, in such exotic areas as active optical camouflage, inertial mass reduction of objects and communications based on the principles of quantum physics.

In addition, the government is showing interest in To The Stars's ADAM project, which collects and analyzes metamaterial data. Douglas Hallow, spokesman for the Ground Transportation Systems Development Center for the US Army's Combat Development Command, called it "a global network for gathering and researching new materials."

It should be noted that, according to the TTSA, some of these new exotic metamaterials were allegedly obtained by the company's specialists during the study of various unidentified flying objects - this is a hint of their extraterrestrial origin. However, representatives of the United States Army are not embarrassed by such statements by the TTSA.

“If the materials studied in the ADAM project pass a scientific examination and the TTSA company can justify the feasibility of their use for military purposes, it will make sense to study them in more detail,” Hallow quotes the Vice edition.

A spokesman for the Army Research Center added that, according to the US authorities, "the critical technologies or capabilities that the Army are exploring in collaboration with the company are clearly on the verge of achievable," but at the same time, these studies do not involve serious costs.

A new word in ufology

To The Stars Academy first came to the fore in the US media in 2017. Founded by former lead singer of the popular rock band Blink-182 Tom DeLonge, TTSA has pledged to become a leading UFO organization and at the same time an intermediary between American government sources and citizens who want to know the truth about the UFO phenomenon.

In December 2017, the organization released video footage of a US Navy F / A-18 Super Hornet to leading American newspapers, allegedly pursuing an unidentified aircraft of unknown configuration moving at high speed.

According to the organization, the video, along with other material, was obtained from former participants in the Aviation Advanced Threat Identification Program (AATIP), which was funded by the Pentagon from 2007 to 2012. Within the framework of the project, $ 22 million was spent on the study of unidentified flying objects and unidentified atmospheric phenomena.

With the publication of these videos, provided by the eccentric musician's organization, the question of the origin of the UFO phenomenon has returned to the front pages of reputable American publications again.

The TTSA also claimed that it has some unusual alloys at its disposal, which it intends to research in conjunction with the US military.

At the same time, the TTSA participants themselves prefer not to call themselves ufologists.

“Nobody in our company considers himself to be a ufologist and does not consider himself to be a part of this culture. In fact, most of us have previously worked in American government structures (both defense and intelligence), and it is our patriotic duty to cooperate with the authorities if they find our work useful in strengthening national security and protecting citizens,”stressed in an interview with Vice magazine Luis Elizondo is a former Pentagon employee and director of the TTSA's Office of International Security and Special Programs.

Budget research

Political analyst Alexander Asafov, in an interview with RT, noted that the interaction of the American military with various strange organizations lasts for more than one year.

“The Pentagon's budget is big enough and needs to be spent. Studies of otherworldly or extraterrestrial forces are quite suitable for writing off additional funds,”the expert explained.

According to Asafov, the American government always acts rationally: in such cases, the matter concerns either money or gaining benefits using slightly different methods than those published in statements and other materials.

“Of course, this is not only a cover for real military research programs, but also work with our own electorate, with American citizens. We remember how a joke on Facebook about the storming of the famous Area 51 (a military base where the bodies of aliens are supposedly stored) caused a big stir. To control people, including those with exotic interests, we need our agents, opinion leaders like Tom Delong and his organization,”the political scientist explained.

In turn, military expert Yuri Knutov, in a conversation with RT, noted that such public statements from the American army indicate that it expects to receive new technologies in the near future, for which a legend is needed.

“The new wave of interest in UFOs and military involvement could be a cover for any real military research programs. For many years, the UFO theme served as a cover for those experiments that were carried out in Area 51, where the project of the promising bomber "Aurora" was developed, and aircraft made using stealth technology were tested. It can be assumed that now various studies and tests of new types of equipment will be carried out, and stories about UFOs and exotic materials will serve as a cover for them,”the expert concluded.
