A year ago, I decided to marry and become an honorary henpecked, and everything would have been fine, but in Ukraine garbage began, called the Maidan. And my wife has a mother who is half Ukrainian and half Russian, she comes from Shakhtyorsk, Donetsk region.

In general, in early May she left for Ukraine and disappeared. I got in touch on May 15, with tears, Lena was killed (her sister, my wife's aunt) I can't leave, I was wounded, I'm afraid, etc. etc. At the family council, it was decided to follow her.

My wife is pregnant, her father is in the hospital, it’s only for me to go. Taking into account the situation on the borders of the Russian Federation-Ukraine, I entered through Belarus, for symbolic 1200 rubles of bribes and a visa for Romania as an excuse that in transit through Ukraine only (the border guards of Ukraine do not know that it is now possible to travel to Romania via Schengen, an innovation) I drove safely to Rivne.

Looked around, amazed at the people. They really do … What is there in the east. In some kind of parallel world they live, on their faces the expectation that now they will be flooded with money. I have not seen this before. Rather, I saw this only on the faces of suicide bombers in the Chechen war (2nd).

In general, I got to Kiev, I have a friend there, I stayed with him for a couple of days, the people of Kiev are also not their own, no matter how much the city has always been in Kiev and people were friendly, and now….

One evening I turned on the local television, I stood watching, I felt that my legs were getting tired and tea was spilled from the mug. Bl …, I'm jumping! Turned off to x …. until I jumped to the Maidan. To be honest, such nonsense is carried there.

By that time, the main highways to Donbas on the border of the regions were blocked, but it was possible to get to the villages. In general, I got to Melitopol, and from there, by passing, and sometimes on foot, I arrived in Shakhtersk. They came under fire in Slavyansk, went there to visit relatives. Damn it.

So we got together, she and her mother (my wife’s own grandmother always lived there) and drove to the border, where the refugees stretched about 5 km, they left for almost a day, did not cross the border himself, there they were already met and taken to Kazan.

By this time, I had already decided that I would stay, for a short while, as far as I could, and my affairs and my wife would allow.

I will not lie that all this is patriotism, pain for people, etc. Although not without it. Well I spent 5 years in Chechnya in intelligence, then a little in the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a couple of years in the UGRO. Experience even as an ass chew. But to be honest, sometimes I missed those times.

And here you can help people with your nostalgia. An acquaintance of my wife's mother in Shakhtersk took me to his militia, and the next day you moved to Kramatorsk.

According to the situation at the front:

Confusion and vacillation for May and among the militia, and among the Ukrainian soldiers. On both sides there are a lot of people who were holding a machine gun for the first time in their life. At the time of my departure, 2 days ago, they gained experience from both sides.

The militia now only take those who, at least, served.

And the Ukrainian military ceased commanders to take cops and p … s from the military department, now there are former Afghans and many more of Soviet training.

Bloody scum is now ahead, that's a fact. Now everyone is looking into reality, and on both sides are ready to go all the way. On the spot with Sanya, we decided on the tasks. My experience, this is reconnaissance and sabotage, has recruited 9 fighters with more or less experience.

They carried out sorties to the rear, cut off supplies to the troops, and destroyed sabotage detachments. During a month and a half of my "business trip", 2e of mine died, 6 were wounded.

On the people: the 18-22 year old boys with cameras were very annoying, the shooting is going on, there are already 200s, and he is peep-pee and the camera clicks.

For them, it’s like a movie in real life. However, they also died faster. On both sides, by the way, there are still such bulk.

The National Guard is despised by everyone, both Ukrainian troops and militias.

On the part of the militias, 80% are local, 18% are volunteers from Russia, the rest are from other countries. I saw volunteers from Kazakhstan, Belarus, Transnistria, by the way, unexpectedly excellent fighters, preparation and skills are excellent.

If there are at least a couple of such divisions in Transnistria, then they have to roll out Moldova, Romania, and Ukraine for lunch, they have a couple of weeks to do.

By the way, volunteers are different, and former cops, and past Chechnya (there are more of them) and even those who came to help on vacation.

The discipline is iron, and it helps in many ways.

There is a rather strange tendency among the Ukrainian military. I don’t know who and why is doing this, but the situation is such that one squad is fully trained fighters with an experienced commander, and a serious rival, and the other squad, as if chamomile would have gone out to collect chicks with a botanist commander. You see them when they write that a group of Ukrainian military or a Ukrainian checkpoint has been destroyed. Moreover, this is still the case. Until now, the feeling that they are being specially led to the slaughter.

There are mercenaries from the side of the Ukrainian troops. We went out to the old cemetery, 5th km of the rear, and then they went to the bushes to take a shit. One was removed, two were taken, and then it suddenly turned out that Russian was not Bilmim. One Pole turned out to be what he could and what he could tell. The 2nd turned out to be unexpectedly strong, and he knew Russian. 6 hours of torture withstood, but did not split, judging by the scars of an experienced fighter, he has seen a lot. (On both sides so. No one disdains, an integral part of the war.)

Then we and others often ran into the mercenaries, always stick to a group, never take risks, they don't rush into trouble.

Very, the Ukrainian troops have aggravated the population. Going into the house and taking what I want is a common occurrence for them. There were cases of rape, among them there were even men and children. What is now in Slavyansk and what kind of p … c, I can very much imagine. The military and the national guards fired among themselves more than once, which is constantly being divided.

Regarding help from Russia. She is. Small arms, software, everything comes from there. Why they don’t supply something more serious, I don’t know. But it certainly would not hurt.

In the special forces, let's say, I myself saw a couple of people with whom I met and served before, now they are from very serious law enforcement agencies, they pretended to be unfamiliar. They are not fighting there, that's for sure. For if a platoon of such decides to fight, then in a week they will already be cleaning Kiev. But what are their tasks, xs, the most interesting.

By and large, this is not a war between Ukraine and Donbas, this is a war for geopolitics, there are too many superfluous people there. On both sides, there are many unnoticeable people who often come to visit the leaders.

They come to the ukrovoysk people in jeeps, they destroyed one black Tahoe for the sake of interest; Left, having lost one.

The whole war is going on where there are no cameras, mobile phones and streams. In my opinion, and I hope it is objective, the DPR-LPR will withstand and even return the territories under their control if they show firmness. For this, everything is there. But a unified command is simply necessary, until now everyone interprets his task in his own way. One detachment, for example, is ready to hold a checkpoint, and another neighboring detachment decided to retreat, so the defense is breaking through.

The population of 70 percent supports the militias, with the advent of the war, some have diminished ardor, before and all 90% were. There are no more than 10% of those completely dissatisfied with the militia. They do not want to live with Ukraine, in general, in any way.

The National Guard is despised by everyone, both Ukrainian troops and militias. They frankly despise everyone west of Slavyansk.

He personally ceased to respect the Ukrainians, he also left through Kiev and to Belarus, so in Kiev everyone p … Murdered children make them smile.

In myself, a strange feeling, I realized that I want to stay, and that I like to fight and serve. But for a long time already has a business of its own, a normal life, the last time he took off his shoulder straps probably 8 years ago. I would have stayed there for another month, but my wife began to give birth, I realized that it was time to go home. I almost had time, I gave birth last night, and this morning I saw my knocked-out strike, I have twins)))

For those who decide to go to help, drive through Belarus by motor transport, it is very dangerous to break through the border with the Russian Federation where the battles are taking place now, Ukrainian sabotage detachments are operating, they just kill right away, and you are unarmed for now. Only two Russian guys were killed over the weekend, they did not have time to pass 10 km from the border. Only those who have experience go there, now a real full-fledged war has begun there, you cannot live long on pure patriotism and enthusiasm.

Anyone who read it, thank you or something, as he could convey what he saw. Who does not believe his right.

That's all))

This post generated a large stream of questions and comments on the forum, some of which are answered below:

Once, in Slavyansk, about a month ago somewhere. Quite an interesting person. He looks soft, but everyone walks along the line with him, and he pounds on the jamb right away. There was steel in my voice, in front of me he barked at one, for the case it’s so, I shuddered myself.

I talked to Motorola, there was a fighting interest there, as an excellent fighter, as a commander too, but overdoing it with discipline, too tough and in words unrestrained. I would be in the same platoon, I would be in conflict with him.

Lynx is a correct man, quiet calm.

In fairness, I want to say that there are guys in the militia from Dnepropetrovsk, Rovno, Sumy, Poltava, Cherkassk, Kharkov, Chernigov, they themselves came, willingly to help. By the way, there are a lot of guys from the Crimea.

And we had rats too. Those who went on vacation, took their mobile phones, sometimes docks, money for storage. So we arrived, only we weren't really familiar yet, and one, after leaving his post to rest, disappeared with money, tablets, mobile phones.

There will always be those who are against. A woman came to us almost every day, and she said leave, we do not need you, we will figure it out without you. I'll hand over you myself. But these are generally units.

A group appeared in gray lumps, I have never seen such. During the night they cut out, did not shoot, but cut out the resting place of the militia, a private house. before that, they "calmed" 2 our scouts. The highest professionalism. This is definitely not Ukrainian special forces, it just does not know how. So we went to find out who it is and what it is in general. The Poles wore the same uniform, but they were useless.

Chechens are such a people, they seem to be everywhere, but no one has seen them live. Near Luhansk, a platoon of their volunteers, I did not hear about other numbers, I myself did not meet. Ossetians have seen, but there are also few of them.

To the south, by hitchhiking and villages, bypassing asphalt roads, from there, just do not be surprised, the software of the Ukrainian troops for money is engaged in the export of refugees, they pass their checkpoints without problems and hassle. It costs 500 hryvnia to get to Melitopol. And from there by bus to the nearest large city and to the border with Belarus by bus too.

You know, I also thought that this war was not ours, especially since I’m a Tatar with no side to Ukraine, and that's how it happened. Mother-in-law also already turns out relatives and grandmother of the wife too. My grandmother has been here for almost 2 months, and everything cannot tear herself away from the TV, they show the destroyed buildings, she begins to cry, but she cannot tear herself away from the TV. They decided to buy a garden for her, let it flutter, be distracted.

I left, instead of me a guy from Ufa became the commander, he has more experience than mine. And the militia just has trouble with intelligence and special forces. The second detachment, by the way, will go to Slavyansk to undermine the supply of ukrovoysk, the commander is from Transnistria. Well, in general, both detachments are almost all local from Donbass, let them gain experience.

Each drop by drop, and together the sea will be typed.

Well, first of all, it is the military Ukrainians who are quite ordinary warriors, with their honor and notions for the most part. This does not apply to the rabble from the National Guard, which robustly contaminates the very concept of the Ukrainian army. But they have forgotten how to fight ukrovoyska completely, and therefore they will be out of bounds with artillery.

Secondly, the militias are very dependent on the population, and therefore any attempts at looting and other crimes are punished harshly and immediately, because in the militia and iron discipline, in many units it is forbidden even to drink beer on vacation.

Yes, it is [participating]. Only one of the tanks did not have a gun, the machine gun was only changed there.

There is no discipline in the National Guard, someone thumps, someone expands, I even saw a hookah with them. A mobile dance floor is just not enough. The army team has stricter discipline. Well, round-the-clock propaganda, of course, they still have, it still affects. We also found syringes. With that amount of lesson and drug addicts, in the National Guard it is not surprising.

He even brought me into a dead end, just think logically how you can shoot at the private sector in the south of the village when the militias are in the north, 5 km away. Here, in order to make a mistake, the whole cannon must be turned. And explain why even shoot cannons at residential areas? What does it do? There is full information about how completely peaceful settlements were shot, where the whole village-town-village had one or two militia checkpoints.

Nope, they have almost the same support as the militia: old weapons, some units don't even have a walkie-talkie. We covered the software machine, so there is expired canned food and bread and that's it.

But they have enough snipers.
