Zelinsky's Information Comprehension Method (or PI Method)

The brain is capable of absorbing significant amounts of information. Self-regulation mechanisms, due to which information from the outside world is not absorbed, passing into the subconscious, save from overload (oversaturation of the brain with information). Thus, the brain blocks the flow of new information for a while. A person, as it were, continues to receive signals from the outside world (through representative and signal systems), but the semantic content of information is blocked by the censorship of the psyche, which means that it does not pass into consciousness, if necessary - either lingering in preconsciousness, or is immediately repressed, finding itself in the unconscious (subconscious). Further, we will take a closer look at such a process, but now we will note that the Russian scientist-hypnologist S. A. Zelinsky developed the "Method of Comprehension of Information" (Method of PI), thanks to which it becomes possible for anyone who wishes to significantly increase the memorization of information received in the shortest possible time. from the outside world, and the amount of such information. Moreover, it should be noted that at the initial stage of mastering the "Zelinsky PI Method" due to a sharp increase in memorization, it is recommended to verify the information received from the outside world, because the brain will remember everything. Therefore, after the "Method of PI" or along the way with mastering the "Method of PI" ("Method of Comprehending Information Zelinsky"), one should learn the "Method of Anti-M" ("Method of Anti-Manipulations of Zelinsky"), thanks to the mastery of which for the first time each individual becomes fully protected both from manipulations by other individuals or manipulations by the media, and is able to independently control the filling of the personal unconscious, depending on the need, putting or removing barriers in the way of information coming from the outside world.

Consider the "Method of Comprehending Information Zelinsky" ("PI Method").

So, we proceed from the fact that information has a prevailing influence on the psyche of an individual. Information can come from two sources: external and internal world. By the external world we mean everything that surrounds the individual (the world around him). Under the inner world - his own, inner, attitude. In the spectrum of combining information received from the external and internal worlds, the worldview of a specific individual in a specific period of time and on a specific issue is obtained. Such a number of introductory notes indicate that the worldview (the individual's view of the world and himself) of a person is capable of changing not only over the course of months, years, decades, but such changes can also be traced during the speed of thought. At the same time, it is nevertheless recommended for at least a certain time to maintain a common line in one's own views on life (life is as a projection of the worldview), otherwise one can carefully talk about the development of certain symptoms of any of the mental disorders in particular and the depersonalization of the psyche in the whole. However, now we are considering the "Method of Comprehension of Information" in projection to the psyche of a relatively mentally healthy person.

So, let's designate the introductory ones. The object of research is the psyche. The subject of research is the ability of the brain (memory) to memorize significant amounts of information. The goal is to increase the volume of comprehension of information, or in other words, we are faced with the task of remembering and the amount of information received from the outside world for a minimum period of time. Such a task is solved by the "Method of Comprehending the Information of Zelinsky", or abbreviated: "Method of PI". This is achieved in the following way:

1) Information flow control.

In this case, a selective approach is applied to the receipt of new information. It is necessary to selectively approach information that appears in a significant amount (through, for example, mass media and information) in the area of human perception. Considering that any information is somehow deposited in the subconscious, we must say that as a result of use (application through mastery) with the "PI Method", almost all such information will be additionally (automatically) marked with positive impulses (due to the formation of dominants), which means served against a similar background will also be additionally enriched with a memorization setting; in this case, when passing into the subconscious, such information will find an associative response much faster than in ordinary cases both with previously available information of a similar orientation in the personal unconscious, and with one or another information of a similar orientation in the collective unconscious, which means that in the first case there will be the formation of new patterns behavior and the strengthening of the old, and in the second - the activation of the basic archetypes (discovered by C. G. Jung: the archetypes of the collective unconscious), and the emergence of new archetypes through incl. and the ramifications of the former, i.e. the formation of new archetypes of the personal unconscious. (As S. A. Zelinsky believes, archetypes are present not only in the collective, but also in the personal unconscious. In this case, archetypes consist of remnants of information that once entered the psyche of an individual, but was not displaced into consciousness or into the depths of memory, but remained in the personal unconscious being enriched with earlier semi-formed dominants, semi-attitudes, and semi-patterns; i.e., at one time such information was not the creation of full-fledged dominants, attitudes or patterns, but, as it were, outlined their formation; therefore, upon admission in the subsequent information of similar content (i.e. information with a similar encoding, or in other words, similar impulses from afferent connections, i.e. connections between brain neurons), early semi-formed dominants, attitudes and patterns are completed, as a result of which the brain appears a full-fledged dominant, and in the subconscious there are full-fledged attitudes that turn into patterns of behavior; a dominant in the cerebral cortex caused by focal excitement is the reason for the reliable consolidation of psychological attitudes in the subconscious, and therefore the appearance of appropriate thoughts in the individual, which subsequently turn into actions due to the preliminary transition of attitudes in the subconscious into patterns of behavior in the unconscious.)

Thus, the management of information flows, according to S. A. Zelinsky, means a selective attitude to any information that appears in the area of perception of information flows by the human brain, i.e. in this case, it is necessary to carry out an initial preliminary selection of any information, because when using the "PI Method" the brain will be able to absorb any amount of information that will be firmly deposited in the subconscious, and then exert its influence on consciousness, i.e. on the emergence of the individual's thoughts and corresponding actions (actions - as a consequence of the appearance of thoughts).

The initial selection of information for entering the brain is carried out using the functioning of such a structural unit of the psyche as censorship, or the criticality barrier between the human brain (psyche) and the external environment; at the same time, in our case, the censorship of the psyche should be conscious-unconscious in order to increase the reception and processing of incoming information. It is thanks to long-term training in analysis and a constant increase in the amount of information received, the human brain, in our opinion, is able to use the censorship of the psyche in an additional mode, providing, in addition to the conscious component, also at first partially unconscious, then only unconscious (as if automatically-unconscious), and the third stage is already partially conscious with the prevalence of the unconscious (automatism on the way of verifying information coming from the outside world to the psyche of the individual). Thus, it is imperative to carry out a preliminary selection (assessment) of information that will be sent to the brain, because any new information received will be stored in the memory during the implementation of the PI Method. Such a selection is carried out first consciously, then unconsciously (automatically), and then again consciously-unconsciously (in the latter case, partial awareness with an almost complete automatic is necessary when qualitatively new information arrives, information that was previously unknown to the individual content; therefore, to verify it, it should be partially used consciousness by means of the criticality barrier in the psyche, i.e. censorship of the psyche, with the prevalence of automatically-unconscious verification processes).

2) An increase in the amount of information supplied to the brain for subsequent analysis, which occurs, as we have already noted, automatically (unconsciously), thanks to the interaction of consciousness and subconsciousness. In this case, the following methods of comprehending information with maximum memorization of the latter are distinguished:

a) The necessary information is entered against the background of a decrease in the criticality barriers of the psyche, plus in suggestive (trance and pretrance) states (against the background of fatigue as a general factor, and at moments of increased suggestibility of the body - the period after waking up, and the period before falling asleep - as additional factors; i.e. i.e. in an altered state of consciousness, ASC).

b) Information in the process of visual-auditory perception, for example, independent reading or listening by ear, comes against the background of simultaneous musical accompaniment.

In this case, the censorship of the psyche switches to music, weakening the protection in the way of information received in the process of reading or, for example, listening to an information message. The censorship of the psyche is, as it were, distracted by a musical signal (especially if it is pleasant relaxing music that resonates “in the soul of an individual”, for example, classical music, or for the middle generation - music of the 80s, for the older generation - works of the middle and second half of the 80s. x years of the 20th century, and so on; general recommendation: to use well-known musical works that have already outlined the formation of archetypes, attitudes and patterns of behavior in the unconscious; in this case, the likelihood that the barrier of criticality will be significantly weakened, which means if against the background of such music the necessary settings will be given, they will firmly and forever enter the subconscious).

c) Information is introduced into the subconscious in the process of the individual's motor activity.

In this case, such a method allows you to introduce attitudes into the subconscious, which will be fixed in the brain in the form of dominants and psychological attitudes; then, acting on such dominants and attitudes through, for example, the repetition of information, or through the delivery of a clear code signal, it will be possible to cause appropriate reactions in the human psyche, i.e. In response to an impulse, the brain will react in the same way as it did at the moment of entering attitudes and the formation of dominants, the formation of patterns of the subsequent behavior of the individual. In other words, the most effective in the case of such a form of information presentation (mainly such information is supplied in the form of suggestion, since an increase in suggestive dependence is clearly manifested in the object during physical activity) is the simultaneous flow of information into the subconscious and consolidation there in the form of psychological attitudes (coding, psychoprogramming) and the formation of patterns in the unconscious psyche, i.e. the formation of stable mechanisms for the future behavior of the object. At the same time, we proceed from such provisions that during physical activity, verbal information is memorized better (if words are accompanied by movements), and we also believe that if movements cause a positive mood in the psyche (positive emotional arousal), then the censorship of the psyche weakens its effect (those.we "deceive" her in this way); thus, information provided simultaneously with such "joy" will be, as it were, automatically favorably perceived by the psyche, will pass into the subconscious (unconscious), and later from there it will begin to influence the individual's consciousness. It also becomes possible to allow some variations and not be constrained only by motor activity, but simply to submit information intended to be memorized against the background of joy and (or) a general favorable state of the psyche. As, however, in moments of grief. Those. when the human psyche is in an altered (trance) state of consciousness, and is forced to throw all its strength into combating stress, as a result of which the control of the censorship of the psyche weakens, which means that at such moments it becomes possible to quite easily introduce any information into the individual's psyche (coding base). Moreover, if we additionally consolidate the information entered into the subconscious (for example, use the “anchoring” method used in NLP), then it becomes possible to designate such information in the cerebral cortex in the form of stable dominants and in the subconscious in the form of psychological attitudes, which means the subsequent repetition (deliberate induction, in this case) of such states will assist in influencing such a programmed (encoded) individual.

d) Introduction of information at the moment when the psyche of the object is in altered states of consciousness (ASC).

As we have already noted, at the moments of ASC, the barrier of criticality on the way of information flow from the external world is in a noticeably different state than in the human psyche at the moment of complete control of consciousness (the so-called normal state of consciousness, OSS). Consciousness in this case plays an important role, but often only if the individual's psyche does not experience any discomfort (fear, pain, guilt, anxiety, sexual desire, hunger, thirst, desire to satisfy physiological needs, etc.) In the event of any additional impact on the psyche in the form of the above examples, the consciousness of almost any person can no longer fully control the situation for a long time. It is known that even the most persistent surrendered from experiencing pain for a long time (during torture, for example), and influence on instincts, for example, sex, fear, or money, has at all times been used by intelligence officers around the world to establish contacts and (or) blackmail “necessary people.

If a person is in an altered, or trance, state of consciousness, the right hemisphere of the brain (unconscious) works, therefore the left hemisphere of the brain is partially turned off and the person is in a confined state of consciousness. Thus, the barrier of criticality on the way to the receipt of new information from the outside world is noticeably weakened, therefore all received information is deposited in the subconscious. If such information is emotionally saturated, then in this case, through the formation of active dominants, Acad. A. A. Ukhtomsky (focal excitation in the cerebral cortex) or passive dominants of Acad. VM Kandyba (focal inhibition in the cerebral cortex), psychological attitudes are fixed in the subconscious (according to Academician D. N. Uznadze), which lead to the formation of appropriate patterns of behavior (Prof. Z. Freud, K. G. Jung, M Erickson) and (or) the additional formation of newly formed or previously formed and reinforced by this archetypes of the personal unconscious (or the amplification of early impulses received from the information received; such impulses in this case did not lead to the creation of full-fledged dominants, attitudes and patterns; but such formation was outlined, resulting in the appearance of semi-dominants, semi-settings, semi-patterns)

So, we have determined that the unconscious prevails. It is the unconscious that takes control of consciousness in trance, or altered states of consciousness. The role of the unconscious psyche was paid special attention to by academicians A. N. Leontiev (2000), A. R. Luria (2006), V. M. Kandyba (1999), and others, and academician S. L. Rubinstein (1989) suggested following. Freud called psychoanalysis depth psychology, as a term that most accurately expresses the processes occurring in the psyche. In the unconscious, as professors Z. Freud, K. G. Jung and many others have established, archaic desires of a person (archaic instincts) are hidden, displaced into the depths of the psyche, including. and in the process of the development of civilization (the growth of culture in society). In this case, the so-called. the primary instincts, displaced into the unconscious, did not completely disappear, it is just that the individual, being in a normal state of consciousness (OSS according to Academician VM Kandyba), was able to more or less control them; whereas when such an individual is immersed in trance or altered states of consciousness (alcoholic intoxication, fatigue, a period of awakening and falling asleep with a strong desire for sleep, a strong sexual desire, a state of strong anxiety or joy, being in a single mass among other individuals, etc.) all these primitive instincts find a way out, again find themselves in consciousness, and thus subjugating it, forcing even the most law-abiding individual to commit semi-criminal acts dictated by the temporarily destructive psyche.

In addition to the cases of immersion in the ASC listed by us, altered states of consciousness (fatigue, drunkenness, colds, the period of waking up, the period of falling asleep, the period of fatigue caused, among other things, by lack of sleep, etc.), a person can get into such states being in the crowd. In this case, the crowd man fully experiences the influence of the primary instincts inherited from the primitive man and actively manifested in the herd feelings of universal unity, when the psyche of people is subordinated to common urges and primitive desires due to a significant weakening of the criticality of the psyche. Before a crowd man there are no barriers, his strength increases tenfold, he is capable of committing clearly expressed criminal acts imbued with destructive desire.

As we have already noted, the main summing result of the method of comprehending information is the reduction of the criticality barrier on the way of information flow from the external environment. In the event of a weakening of the activity of the censorship of the psyche, in this case it becomes possible not only to introduce significant amounts of information into the unconscious of the psyche, but also such information will be almost completely deposited in the unconscious of the psyche, being fixed there by special code characteristics, thanks to which such information is firmly fixed in the form of attitudes in the subconscious (there is a kind of coding of the psyche through the formation of dominants, i.e. focal excitation in the cerebral cortex), and also, as we believe, when new information with a similar code value arrives - such information completes the makings of the planned (semi-formed) patterns of behavior and enhances the archetypes of the personal unconscious. (S. A. Zelinsky).

So, in order to increase the input of new information, we need to enter the following information:

1) against the background of ASC;

2) against the background of preliminary consolidation of information through the formation of code values of information in semi-formed attitudes and patterns of behavior, as well as archetypes of the personal unconscious (in this case, if the code coincides, new information is superimposed on the existing one);

3) to enter information against the background of a decrease in the criticality barrier of mental censorship;

4) accompany the input of new information with installations using auto-suggestion (for example, auto-training). In the latter case, it becomes possible to overcome the barrier of criticality by manipulating one's own psyche, as if in our case, with "a noble deception of oneself." Noble - because, unlike negative manipulations, in this case we program our own psyche to comprehend new information, which means there is an obvious positive aspect, which is at least noble. In this case, the very word "comprehension" presupposes not only the reception of information from the outside world, or the processing of such information, but also a significant increase in the memorization of such information. Achieving an increase in memorability, as we have already paid attention, is to lower the criticality barrier, and increase the effectiveness of suggestive influence. At the same time, let us pay attention to the fact that in the case of this kind of suggestive influence, the individual is in a state of reality (well, or semi-appear, in a trance state, or ASC - an altered state of consciousness). Despite the fact that this kind of psychological influence can be dealt with by choosing another person as an object, we will nevertheless continue to consider Zelinsky's “Method of Comprehending Information” as the initial prerequisites and transcriptions. in the application mostly to improve their own abilities to memorize any individual in relation to himself; and in a state of wakefulness. In this regard, once again, it should be noted that one of the ways to increase the suggestive impact in the waking state, as well as to reduce the effect of censorship of the psyche, is:

- suggestion in the period immediately after awakening (from the moment of half-awakening and during the first 5-10-30-60 minutes);

- suggestion in the period before falling asleep;

- suggestion during fatigue caused, for example, by lack of sleep;

- suggestion in combination with musical accompaniment (the selection of musical compositions is carried out in accordance with the individual characteristics of the psyche of each person, but for the most part music without words is desirable, for example, classical music; moreover, after a while it is recommended to change the works so that there is no excessive addiction and censorship of the psyche all time was involved);

- suggestion against the background of emotional excitement (joy or grief);

- suggestion at the time of the so-called. sensory hunger;

- suggestion as a result of the absence of other information (this, by the way, is a very effective method, which is partly realized through suggestion in subsonic states, especially in the period after awakening);

- suggestion through the presentation of information against the background of muscular activity (the psyche in this case switches to motor activity, which means the barrier of criticality weakens), suggestion in a state of deep relaxation (a state of complete rest of the soul and body), etc.

Thus, it turns out that as a result of the "Method of Comprehending Information Zelinsky" we are able to significantly increase the process of memorization of information. It should be noted that the most effective memorization occurs against the background of a complete weakening of the criticality barrier (censorship of the psyche) in the morning (the period immediately after waking up), as well as against the background of slight lack of sleep; in these cases, almost all information is firmly fixed in the subconscious in the form of psychological attitudes (coding), which means that in the future it will also easily pass into consciousness. You should pay special attention to this. The first half hour and even an hour (depending on the individual characteristics of the organism) after waking up, the human brain is maximally susceptible to memorizing any information (by translating such information, bypassing consciousness with its criticality barrier, directly into the subconscious). No matter what it is, morning or evening, day, night, etc. the very fact of preliminary sleep, then awakening, and entering information against the background of a similar trance or semi-trance state of a person is important. After sleep (not necessarily full sleep; in other cases, it is even a slight lack of sleep that is recommended in order to lower the barrier of criticality), the human brain is most susceptible to memorization. This happens due to the impossibility of fully switching on the criticality barrier on the way of information entering the brain, i.e. so-called censored psyche. Censorship is a component of the psyche, which is located between the unconscious consciousness and the surrounding world, and characterizes the verification of information passing from the external, surrounding world to the internal world (consciousness and subconsciousness). The main function of censorship is the distribution of information received from the external (surrounding) world between consciousness and subconsciousness (unconscious). In order to increase memorization, it is necessary to lower the barrier of criticality, as well as to reinforce the information offered for memorization emotionally. Thus, by lowering the criticality barrier, information will not only be directed to the subconscious, but will also be deposited there in the form of attitudes (D. N. Uznadze), formed and strengthened patterns of behavior due to the involvement, incl. and the archetypal component of the unconscious (S. A. Zelinsky, 2008). Emotional saturation of information from the outside world entering the brain leads to the formation of active dominants A. A. Ukhtomsky (active focal excitation in the cerebral cortex), as well as focal inhibition in the cerebral cortex (dominant V. M. Kandyba; the dominant in this case is automatically inhibits and subjugates all adjacent parts of the cerebral cortex, gradually turns off all the senses except one: the hypnotist hears only the voice of the hypnotist; a trance is generated, i.e. an altered state of consciousness, when the censorship of the psyche is maximally weakened and actually turned off, which means any information, given at the moment, will firmly be deposited in the subconscious of the hypnotist and will further serve as a guide to action, including through the formed attitudes according to D. N. Uznadze, turning into patterns of behavior). To understand the process, it is necessary to dwell in more detail on the patterns of behavior. In our opinion, patterns of behavior are capable not only of constantly reappearing, but also of strengthening the earlier existing ones (S. A. Zelinsky, 2003-2008). In the same way, we believe that an innumerable number of archetypes is represented in the personal unconscious of the psyche of a modern person (just as Jung noted, archetypes are represented in huge numbers in the collective unconscious); moreover, archetypes continue to form in the process of a person's life all the time; In this case, a situation is observed when the early received information is not completely displaced from the psyche, but, as it were, "waits for reinforcement" of new information, and if the signal of the newly received information coincides with the signal of the earlier existing one, then the process of reformation of the previous semi-dominants, semi-attitudes will be observed, semi-patterns of behavior. (S. A. Zelinsky, 2007-2008).

Let's dwell in more detail. So, in the process of focal excitation in the cerebral cortex (dominants of Academician A. A. Ukhtomsky), information is firmly deposited in the form of attitudes (psychological attitudes of Academician D. N. Uznadze) in the subconscious. However, as the scientist-hypnologist S. A. Zelinsky clarifies, in the subconscious (in the unconscious of the psyche) by this time there are already certain, formed early patterns of behavior, i.e. stable mechanisms guiding the subsequent behavior of the individual, i.e. patterns of behavior are responsible for the performance of an individual's actions, while attitudes (formed as a result of the preliminary formation of dominants) are involved in the appearance of thoughts in the individual. Thus, attitudes can turn into patterns (reinforcing the latter), or they can act independently, influencing the behavior of the individual. This happens if actions are a consequence of the preliminary appearance of thoughts; therefore, if the attitudes formed in the subconscious affect the appearance of certain thoughts in a person (i.e., thoughts imbued with information that is fixed in the subconscious in the form of attitudes), then it is quite logical that attitudes can independently participate in the direction of a person's actions to perform certain actions, i.e. attitudes in this case shape the behavior of the individual. In the case of a temporary stay of an individual in altered, trance, states of consciousness, such a person can perform actions without the prior participation of consciousness, i.e. to act reflexively, instinctively. (S. A. Zelinsky). In our opinion, in the human psyche, in addition to the fact that new patterns of behavior are constantly being formed and early existing ones are being strengthened, there is also a constant formation of new archetypes. It becomes possible this way because new information entering the brain as a result of reflection (an important function of consciousness) in the psyche can immediately pass into patterns of behavior, shaping them and strengthening the earlier existing ones, or it can be preliminarily enriched with the remnants of information stored in the personal unconscious, reinforced similar information (with a similar encoding) from the collective unconscious. The early availability of such information was not enough to form the corresponding archetype, despite the fact that there was an obvious predisposition to it, but there was not enough partial amplification, which is happening at the moment with the input (receipt) of new information; as a result of which new information supplements the earlier existing one, which means that a new archetype of the unconscious is formed (formed) (in this case, the archetypes of the personal unconscious); Moreover, in this case, as S. A. Zelinsky believes, the formation of a new archetype (the archetype of the personal unconscious) requires a preliminary semi-formation of the archetype in the collective unconscious, and also as a result of the relationship with the newly received information in the personal unconscious, it was precisely the emergence of a new archetype already in personal unconscious. As for the formation of a new pattern of behavior, in our opinion, this becomes possible because any information that is in the area of perception of an individual (information that is captured by his visual, auditory, kinesthetic representational systems, as well as signal systems of the psyche) is deposited in subconscious, which means that when managing the psyche, it is necessary to take into account the formation in the unconscious of the psyche of attitudes, the life experience of a given individual, the level of his education, upbringing, intelligence, etc. individual characteristics. The information that enters the subconsciousness enters into correlate with the information already available in the psyche, i.e., it enters into associative contacts with the information accumulated by the archetypes of the personal and collective unconscious, and being enriched with information from them, it is significantly amplified, forms new ones or completes them. strengthening the already existing patterns of behavior, and after a certain time (individual in the case of each person) begins to influence consciousness, because when some new information appears, the psyche begins to unconsciously evaluate it from the position of previously accumulated information in the unconscious (personal and collective), i.e. information, both acquired in the process of life of a given individual, and transferred to the unconscious with the help of genetic and phylogenetic schemes. (As S. A. Zelinsky believes, archetypes are present not only in the collective, but also in the personal unconscious. In this case, archetypes consist of the remnants of information that once entered the psyche of the individual, but was not displaced into consciousness or into the depths of memory, but remained in the personal unconscious, being enriched earlier with semi-formed dominants, semi-attitudes, and semi-patterns; those. at one time such information was not the creation of full-fledged dominants, attitudes or patterns, but, as it were, outlined their formation; therefore, upon receipt of information of a similar content in the subsequent (i.e., information with a similar encoding, or in other words, similar impulses from afferent connections, i.e. connections between brain neurons), early semi-formed dominants, attitudes and patterns are completed, as a result of which a full-fledged dominant appears in the brain, and full-fledged attitudes appear in the subconscious, which turn into patterns of behavior; the dominant in the cerebral cortex caused by focal excitation is the reason for the reliable consolidation of psychological attitudes in the subconscious, and hence the appearance of appropriate thoughts in the individual, which subsequently turn into actions as a result of the preliminary transition of attitudes in the subconscious into patterns of behavior in the unconscious.) Therefore, the Method of Comprehension of Information Zelinsky "(" PI Method ") is able to firmly fix any information in the subconscious of a person, and therefore significantly increase his ability to learn by comprehending impressive amounts of information.
