Back in 2001, J. Drnovsek (President of Slovenia) expressed to V. Putin the idea of creating the Forum of Slavic Cultures (FGC) - an international organization that would contribute to the preservation and development of the Slavic world. Russia (at least in the person of its president) is entirely in favor. And already in 2002, the ministers of culture of twelve Slavic states signed a declaration, which officially announced the establishment of the Forum.

Who became the “main Slav” on the part of Russia ?! Well, of course, Mikhail Shvydkoi. As far as I know, he still manages the forum of Slavic cultures from our country. Therefore, the fact that inter-Slavic contacts were reduced to official trips and single concerts (for example, in Brussels! And why not in Washington, I wonder ?!) is not surprising at all. The fact that Ukraine and Belarus have significantly moved away from Russia over the years is the result of work (or sabotage) and the Forum of Slavic Cultures too. And what else can you expect from a person who was proud of his show: “Russian fascism is more terrible than German” ?! Such is the public attitude of Mikhail Efimovich to the Russians and to the Slavs.
