TV channel OTR or "Public Television of Russia" (not to be confused with the 1st channel), headed by Anatoly Lysenko, if you remember, in the 90s he headed the All-Russian State Television and Radio Broadcasting Company, held the so-called "Hungry Poll" among the audience. In this case, the TV journalists were interested in the question about the cost of the minimum three-day basket in different regions of the country.
Every week the OTP information service assesses how real the picture of the financial well-being of the population is. This time "Real Figures", as one of the programs of the channel is called, calculated how much money residents of different regions of Russia spend on food.
The Hungry Survey collected data on the minimum cost of a grocery basket for three days: a loaf of bread, a liter of milk, a dozen eggs, one chicken, a kilogram of potatoes. The three-day subsistence minimum does not include: vegetables, fruits, tea and coffee. There is also no cereal, no sugar. Only the essentials.
