The author asks about the level of technical education in the West, and in particular, education in the United States. Why are engineers in the states gasterbayers, and workers their own? Not all the conclusions in the article can be agreed, however, the impressions described by the author help to understand the features of the Western technological order …

In this short article, I want to share my findings based on what I saw with my own eyes. I work as an engineer in the Moscow branch of a large American aircraft company. Remote work. Americans send assignments, and engineers in the Moscow office actually perform the role of draftsmen, only at the modern level, not on a drawing board, but in a 3D modeling program. Exactly the same works for this company are performed in Italy, Japan and other countries. Quite often, the work is not limited to just "drawing", there is also the development of individual units.

The work is also associated with frequent business trips to the United States, where production facilities are located. I spent quite a few months on these business trips. I was immediately struck by some strange things that until recently I could not explain for myself.

The main thing is that the American engineering staff hardly speaks without an accent. Those. virtually none of the engineers, at least in the field of civil aviation, were born in the United States. Workers are mostly US-born, more often white men over forty, while engineers are mostly foreign contractors or naturalized foreigners. It turns out that everything is turned upside down, the engineers are gasterbayers, and the workers are their own.

When I showed a group photo of the engineers of my California department to my friends in Russia, everyone as one asked: "Is this somewhere in Thailand?" Indeed, out of fifty people, no more than five European faces could be seen. The rest are Asians and mainly from the Vietnamese diaspora and about a quarter are Mexicans. I couldn't understand why there are no local engineers. After all, the salaries of American engineers are at the level of doctors. American contractors, for whom the firm does not make contributions to the pension fund, currently have about three hundred thousand of our rubles a month. Even Germans leave for the States to earn money, where their salaries are twice as high. Their engineering school is still going strong. So far, in German schools, the task for the student to determine who he is, a boy, a girl or something else, has not become more important than physics.

However, let us return to American salaries, which today solve all the problems of a shortage of qualified personnel, if there is faith in the dollar. An American contract engineer gets four times as much as I do in Moscow. And with such salaries, there are very few local engineers in the States. Well, it would be fine, the managers were born in the USA, and here they are not. My American side manager is an Albanian speaking with an accent. The situation is the same in the north of the United States, in the state of Washington, but the engineering staff there are the Chinese and Eastern Europe.

I could not understand all this until I came across an article on the Internet by a bankrupt Latvian entrepreneur who went to the UK to earn money. In addition to all the horror of the life of an English gasterbiter, one episode caught my attention when this Latvian came to visit his Polish friends and saw that their son, a student of a British school, was doing his homework there. This schoolboy drew some circles and dots. It turned out that he was dividing fifteen by three. I circled the number fifteen, took out three rays of five points from it and got the result. Moreover, this was a student of not quite an elementary school. When the Latvian asked, how much is two hundred divided by ten? He replied that it was a very difficult task, but he would try. I circled the number 200 and began counting the points. To which the Latvian took pity on the student and asked him not to suffer any more.

Then this Latvian citizen learned the story of another Polish family who had returned to Warsaw. There, their daughter, a fifth-grader, a student of a British school, found herself in a Polish school for the first time. Exactly one hour later, she ran out of her new school building in tears, screaming that she would never return here. It turned out that the whole class laughed at her after the first simple questions from the teacher. Another Pole's son has already graduated from a British school. When the Latvian asked about his son: "Well, how is he?"

Not so long ago, I already from my source - a friend of the school director, learned that somehow one of our diplomatic workers decided to send his daughter to a London school for a year so that she could improve her English. My friend knew this girl, said that she was, as they say, an excellent student, a Komsomol member and just a beauty. And now, a year after the English school, he simply did not recognize her. Her English is fucking fucking, piercings, tattoos and cheeky behavior. As he put it: "The girl is lost." In general, he noted that when you walk by our school, there is silence - the educational process is going on. But, no matter what time he passed the English public cheekbones, when he was in Great Britain, the hum stood hundreds of meters from the school and there could be no question of any normal educational process with such a noise.

The quality of English education is already leading to a crisis in the UK nuclear industry. There is simply no one to replace the retiring specialists. And they are not yet ready to invite foreigners to such a vulnerable industry, and besides, they cannot offer the same money as in the States. I think that the catastrophe of the English public cheekbones can be safely projected on the American or any other Western, because the programs are about the same.

Here's another case from the internet. Our guy from the Russian hinterland went to Canada to study English at one of the best Canadian language schools. There, in the classroom, they analyzed an article that provided statistics on the problem of obesity in the world. The article concludes that the problem is at its greatest in English-speaking countries. Then there was a test with the question: "Does learning English affect excess weight?" Our man answered this idiotic question of course - "No." The correct answer was "Yes"! Our guy tried to argue with the teacher - a Canadian born Indian girl. To which she replied: "Of course" Yes "is the correct answer," and gave an example, when her uncle moved from India to Canada and began to study English, he became terribly fat as a result.

This indicates a complete atrophy of the vision of elementary cause-and-effect relationships already among the teaching staff. A whole generation of teachers has grown up, corresponding to the level of their graduates. Even if the West wants to return the education system to normal, they simply will not find the required number of teachers who can master normal textbooks. Of course, one could argue that these are schools exclusively for the plebs, but in schools for the elite, everything is fine. But judging by the actions of the Western elite, not everything is in order in their schools. For example, you can recall the outrage of former presidential candidate Mitt Romney when he could not open the window on the plane for airing and was even ready to raise this issue in Congress. Every schoolchild in our country knows (at least I hope so) why it is impossible to open windows at a height of ten thousand meters.

It can also be noted that recently the favorite US practice is to include a fool on any issue. Psaki has already become a household name. In my opinion, turning on the fool is the shortest path to losing credibility. And if you suddenly admit such a seditious thought: "God, what if they are not pretending?" How can one explain the fact that China was actually provided with the Marshall Plan without prior demoralization, i.e. these are investments, technologies and, most importantly, the dimensionless domestic American market, but how should the countries demoted according to the old man Sharpe's methodology be given no plan at all? What was the goal - controlled chaos? The results obtained indicate that he was not controllable. As a result, the positive image of the United States was destroyed, and a lot of money was invested in it.

Now the United States has turned into a monkey with a grenade. They even intimidated the allies. With a trembling hand, Europa holds out the last bananas to this monkey so that the grenade does not fly in her direction. The level of education even affects the American military-industrial complex, where the access of foreign engineers with a traditional education is limited. For example, in military aviation, F22 and F35 are worse than previous generations due to ill-considered compromises in a number of indicators. Probably, for reasons of secrecy, they are mainly worked on by engineers born in the United States. And even in the field of gadgets, if you take the same iconic Steve Jobs, when asked why he would not transfer the production of iPhones to the states, he answered the question: "Where can I get so many engineers?"

Most American universities with subjects like "zombology" are simply pumping out money and distributing diplomas, with which they can only take McDonald's. In good universities, of which there are not so many, mostly Asians go to technical specialties. Locals believe that these specialties are too difficult for them and it will be easier to learn how to draw up fake company reports to increase empty capitalization on the stock exchange.

The question arises, how did they bring their own education system to such a catastrophic state? If you do not consider conspiracy theories and accept that all intentions were good, two versions can be distinguished. The first is the humanization of education. Children should not be forced to learn. Everything should be on a voluntary basis. They don't even have to do their homework if they don't want to. As a result, the program is simplified. But the main task of the school is not even to obtain specific knowledge that may not be useful in life. The main task is to develop the brain, develop some kind of intellectual endurance so that a person does not give up before a task that is a little more difficult than those to which he is accustomed.

Another reason for the fall in the level of education already in American schools is the establishment of a common level with African and Latin Americans. I don’t want to say anything bad about the intellectual abilities of these groups, it’s just that it is not customary in their culture to force children to study well. The process of degradation of the American school was gradual. For a long time, white students were far ahead of the rest in academic performance. Simply put, whites, and then Asians, who became more and more, received five in the exams, and the other groups received two. This was considered ethnic discrimination against students. The program was simplified. Whites and Asians got five, the rest got three. It didn't seem enough. All groups are now getting roughly the same marks.

Someone might say that our USE will lead to the same consequences, but today there is a big difference in the level of questions in our USE and its Western counterpart. The level of questions of their USE did not go far from our primary school. Hence the conclusion - in no case to simplify the school curriculum. For example, in South Korea, it only gets more complicated. The results are clear.

The Western world, having turned into a theater of the absurd, is rapidly losing its attractiveness. There is still some inertia of consciousness, for example, of those Ukrainians who want to join Europe. However, they want to merge with Europe not today, but with the one that was before - ethnically homogeneous, calm, prosperous, which exists only in myths. Ukrainian thinkers wish to return to a time when the Overton windows had not yet opened, through which bearded women and gender education poured in. And now economic disruption is added to this.
