Sooner or later, every (well, almost) person has a strong desire to live in their own home. Especially when you are over 40 and your pace of life begins to decline and you suddenly begin to annoy the entrance of your apartment building that smells of cat and human urine, the intimate life of neighbors behind a thin concrete wall and housing and communal services receipts, in which the management company writes whatever it wants.

It also appeared with my wife. After our departure from Vladivostok in 2010, we managed to live in Sochi, where we bought an apartment in a building under construction. But, when the house was almost ready, it, alas, was demolished due to the construction of the Olympic facility. I must say that by this time our enthusiasm for the beauties of this southern city had subsided, since it reached us that this is the same "end of the world" as Vladivostok. It is separated from the rest of the world by a mountain serpentine 200 km long, and even going to Krasnodar IKEA for furniture and building materials is very problematic.

And then we decided to move to the Moscow region with the firm intention of buying a house. In a week we traveled the whole region. We liked the new log house in Pereslavl-Zalessky and we bought it.

During a year of living in this house, we have gained valuable experience, namely:

1. What should be the house.

2. No builders will build you the house you want! The house needs to be designed and built by yourself!

Once driving along Dmitrovskoe highway, we saw an exhibition building built using Canadian technology. We liked him. Having sold a house in Pereslavl-Zalessky, we moved to my native Sterlitamak, where we purchased a land plot with an old house, hired several people and started construction.

Six months later, the house was ready. We lived in it for 2 years and came to the following conclusions:

1. For a family of three, the house is large.

2. The second floor is not needed, because all life goes on at first.

3. For saws and hammers, you still have to take it yourself, tk. hired personnel build very slowly, need constant supervision and are expensive.

Selling the house, we bought a new plot, came up with a project and started construction.

After 3 months we celebrated a housewarming.

Conclusions:

1. If you have a great desire to live in your own home, you are not afraid of hard physical labor and running around in numerous instances, and your hands grow at least approximately from where they should be (and your wife is still able to climb scaffolding) - feel free to start building!

2. If you want to save a lot of money, time and nerves, build yourself! Educational films on the network are fully understood.
