The results of the VTsIOM study regarding the quality of school textbooks were commented on by the expert of the Parent All-Russian Resistance (RVS) Pavel Rasinsky on October 12 in an interview with the Krasnaya Vesna news agency.

Secondly, according to the expert: “The overall quality of textbooks has dropped sharply. There is no single reason for this state of affairs. Obviously, the quality control on the part of the authorities allowing or not allowing textbooks has been reduced; people who do not have sufficient competence are directly involved in the development of textbooks (and with the current level of education there are more and more such people). It can also be stated that the publication of textbooks has long passed from the educational plane to the business, when income is becoming more important than product quality."

Pavel Rasinsky also noted: “As for the level at which to decide on the use of certain textbooks and whether a federal list of textbooks is necessary, it is not an easy question.

As we can see, the issue of the quality of textbooks is extremely acute today. It is impossible to offer an unambiguous solution to this problem. But, nevertheless, the vector of movement is quite obvious - stricter control over quality and compliance with scientific knowledge and freedom of choice (since there are several lines) for teachers and parenting committees.

Recall that the All-Russian Center for the Study of Public Opinion (VTsIOM) published the results of a study, according to which 60 and more percent of the teachers surveyed when working with textbooks encounter errors and incorrect presentation of the material, and also complain about vague wording and lack of logic in the presentation of the material.
