Mr. Chiesa, how do you assess the situation in the world?

- The US empire is now declining. America, of course, dictates its will to the NATO states. But he can no longer give orders to the whole world, since it has become multipolar. Over the past decades, giant states have been created that make decisions on their own. Besides Russia, there is China with a population of 1.5 billion people, in fact, with the first economy in the world. China is far ahead of the power of the United States in the aggregate of all areas: science, finance, business, demography, etc. The third strong state is Iran. Their peoples cannot and do not want to be led by America's imperial ambitions.

What processes in the country does the election of Donald Trump speak about?

- This is just evidence of the internal political unsolvable crisis in the United States. With the election of Trump, another America came to the surface, and the one we knew is now in opposition. And in a furious one: three structures of the US secret services are working together against the president. In fact, we are on the eve of a political upheaval within the United States. The main goal is at stake - world domination. For her sake, the United States unleashed wars in the Middle East and a series of "color" revolutions in different parts of the world. And the events of today in the USA, Europe, Russia and Moldova indicate that the political elites will do anything to achieve this goal. When it became clear that Russia would not succumb, they chose the path of provocations against it. The coup in Ukraine was organized by the States with their own money and hands, they used the Nazis for this. And they immediately accused Russia of capturing Ukraine. From the same series "the Skripal case". They carry out such operations regularly.

If you want peace, prepare for war

What can this lead to?

- The Americans do not realize that they are pushing the world towards a global war. The ruling elites of the West believe that sooner or later they will outperform everyone else. The United States is developing an anti-ballistic system that will repel missile strikes, which, according to America, will give them an absolute advantage. It will take 5-6 years to develop the system. Then they will attack, it is obvious. If someone thinks that people's egoism is limited, they are mistaken. Now we are in the hands of a group of people who are not aware of what is happening. In essence, they are crazy or children who hold nuclear weapons in their hands and even think they can try to use them. The world is in very great danger. But the overwhelming majority of Westerners have a zero understanding of the threat. There are those who think that the next war will be similar to the Second World War.

What do you object to them? -

The Third World War will not be a war between troops, but a war for the destruction of peoples. This has never happened in history. Europeans do not understand that in the event of a collision, their continent will be destroyed first. After all, it is there that it is planned to install missiles to prevent a Russian retaliatory strike.

How to be in this situation for Moldova?

- Moldova is on the border of a confrontation that cannot be avoided. And the only way to escape is not to take part in the collision. Although this does not guarantee anything.

Therefore, in any case, do not join NATO! I initiated a campaign against NATO in Italy, and today the idea is supported by about 50 thousand people. A lot, but not very much. To get out of the block, you need to create a massive movement. But many already understand the problem, there are followers in Germany, France, Spain. And in Moldova there are people who believe that it is necessary to join NATO. Well done! Go, go … This is the most dangerous decision you can make today. Imagine: Italy alone spends 70 million euros every day on ensuring the so-called needs of state protection! 25 billion euros a year is a huge cost. And we have a lot of problems with pensions, healthcare, education … We spend so much money to protect ourselves. From whom? Who is the enemy? Russia does not threaten us. And in order to avoid the real danger posed by the Western elites, we must rely on large states that are able to resist a single empire. Our salvation is Russia, China, Iran, Brazil … And there is widespread resistance not only of people, but also of states. There is no other way.

Forgotten people

What mistakes, in your opinion, did Russia make in foreign policy?

- After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the country's leadership, headed by Boris Yeltsin, simply forgot that 25 million compatriots remained behind the new borders. While in the Baltics, I saw how Russian ambassadors ignored their problems. The authorities showed depressing indifference, unforgivable, in my opinion. Meanwhile, in Ukraine, the Americans have organized their own upbringing system. I myself saw how the American Embassy was very active for 25 years. The United States bought up all TV channels, universities, etc. And raised a whole generation. Where was Russia? The Ukrainian tragedy is the consequences of her 25-year absence.

You worked in Moscow for about 20 years as a correspondent for Italian newspapers. Did you manage to understand something about the people of Russia?

- I realized that the people exist as a structure, as an independent unit. It is not an arithmetic sum of people. And the people react to certain events as a kind of creature. I think that this is a very great force, and at certain moments it expresses itself. As we are now seeing in Russia. For a long time, the Russian people succumbed to illusions and temptations coming from the West. It took more than 20 years for people to understand that the wrath of the West is not against Putin, but against the people of Russia. Because it is very different from Anglo-Saxon. The Russian people felt that they needed to defend themselves and resist, and expresses themselves through their leader.

Remaking Europe

How do you see the future of the EU?

- The union will lose political and spiritual influence on the Europeans. For the past 50-60 years, Europe has lived under the rule of the US empire, and now Trump himself does not know what to do. This is a problem: the emperor does not give instructions. Therefore, we are in a crisis. I think that the political landscape of Europe will be completely changed within two or three years. As for Moldova, the EU needs it in order to use its resources, and no one is waiting for it there as a member of the European Union. Therefore, the most advantageous and smart position for your country is to be friends with both the East and the West. Only in this way will the country avoid the status of a colony and remain free.

Many political analysts predicted a different outcome of the UK referendum on leaving the EU, and the result was shocking. Do you have an explanation?

- The world has long been manipulating people, entire nations through the media, television, and now also through the Internet. Nevertheless, there are events that the "managers" cannot foresee. Let me cite the elections in the United States as an example: all the media, even European ones, were confident in Hillary Clinton's victory. And Trump won. And the "regulatory authorities" are at a loss: why is this? My explanation is this. Here's a comparison with dogs: when an earthquake approaches, they start barking. So, such a choice is a kind of “barking” of peoples who intuitively felt the danger threatening the country and civilization.
