In Yakutia, there is the Vilyui River, on which a reservoir was formed near the border with the Irkutsk Region. To the north of this Vilyui reservoir there is an anomalous zone covered with legends and myths. This mysterious area is called Death Valley.

It's all about boilers, lost among the local swamps, made of an unknown alloy of metal, the origin of which remains a mystery. During their entire existence, these boilers have not oxidized or corroded, and their surface is similar in structure to rough sandpaper. In total, eight such boilers have been counted so far.

But the main problem is precisely that these boilers are lost. That is, no one succeeded in documenting them now and publishing photos and video materials. There are drawings made according to eyewitness accounts or according to legend, there are photos of places that can presumably be associated with these boilers.

The local flora and fauna also have an interesting feature. It is surprising that there are no birds at all - for some reason, the birds fly around this place and do not want to build their nests here. But at the same time, the vegetation is very lush: especially near the boilers, the grass, bushes and trees are noticeably higher and denser.

The first mentions of Death Valley and cauldrons were found in local legends. There are traces in local toponymy as well. For example, the river Agly Timirnit flows here, which is translated as “The Big Cauldron Drowned”. There is the Olguidah river, which means "where the boilers are."

One of the supposed places where the boiler is hidden is right on the river Agly Timirnit

In the legends, it is said that at the time when the Tungus lived on these lands, at night some unknown object fell from the sky to the earth. This was accompanied by a loud noise, fire, and then - covering everything around with gray haze. When people were able to see something, they saw an incomprehensible round object lying on the ground. According to other stories, at the place of the "death of the world" a kind of tall structure appeared, which could be seen from afar. but then it began to sink and went underground.

After that, many times hunters, gold prospectors, researchers, and brave local residents tried to find out what these metal boilers remained on the surface of the Yakut land. And everyone who went down in them noted a deterioration in their condition, some of them disappeared altogether. Even before the boilers went deep underground, there were daredevils who climbed onto one of their roofs. From there, through the hole, people saw a staircase leading down.

It is said that those who descended the stairs ended up in an unusual underground room, which consisted of rooms and corridors connecting them. But after returning from a mysterious dungeon, people fell ill with some kind of disease unknown in those places and died.

Then in 1877, naturalist researcher Richard Maack wrote a book about the mysterious cauldrons of Death Valley, thanks to which the amazing anomaly was known all over the world. He noted, retelling the stories of local old-timers, that in and around the cauldrons it was much warmer and often hunters or lost travelers went there to warm up. almost always the result was the same - from deteriorating health to illness and death.

There is also a documented report from one of the local hunters, who told about the corpses of people dressed in "knightly armor" he saw in the cauldron. He said that their faces were haggard, and in the middle of their foreheads each had a third eye. It is clear that this story makes one think about the alien origin of the Yakut boilers.

In general, there are many versions about the origin of the mysterious Yakut boilers: from alien bases and the remains of an ancient civilization to natural formations unknown to science and an abandoned Soviet nuclear station. Some skeptics are sure that the boilers and other objects found on the territory of Yakutia are only fragments of space rockets. Moreover, it is here, according to official data, that the debris of the launch vehicles launched in Kazakhstan should fall. Then, all diseases received by people are explained by increased radioactivity. But there is one important circumstance - many of the stories about Death Valley originated long before the advent of the rocket and space industry on planet Earth.

Well, the story about this place will be incomplete without mentioning the expedition, which was organized by the Czech explorer Ivan Mackerle. He also made a significant contribution to the visibility of this anomaly. The unusual thing about his expedition was that he first decided to start looking for the cauldrons from above. In May 2006, using a paraglider for several days, researchers surveyed the area and found several locations where the boilers may be located. Absolutely regular circles on the surface "hinted" at this - although the boilers themselves were not visible, but it was here that they could go down the ground, leaving such a trace.

Then a group of researchers went to these places on foot. They found in one place "something solid, smooth, slightly rounded", and in another - just in a small round lake and at a shallow depth - an inverted hemisphere. However, one night - literally after visiting one of these places - Ivan Mackerle felt unwell and, as he himself later said, a very strange sensation. As a result, when he began to lose consciousness, the team gathered and sailed on boats from these places. As he moved away, the Czech scientist's well-being improved, and when he returned home and underwent an examination with doctors, they did not find any diseases or potential reasons for such drastic changes in health.

It would seem that this is not at all serious: "we found the cauldrons, but we got very sick, and all the photographs mysteriously disappeared." But on the other hand, could this whole story have formed from scratch, simply because of the debris of launch vehicles? The likelihood of such a story emerging out of nothing is also close to zero. It remains to wait for some brave traveler to finally upload his research results of this anomalous zone to the network. In the meantime, you can read eyewitness accounts:
