“The world that we“painted”yesterday is becoming a reality today. We "draw" the world of tomorrow today. If we don't do it ourselves, then someone else will "draw" it for us. Will it be good for us in this foreign world?"

(epigraph to the play "I will draw the Sun", P. Lomovtsev (Volkhov))

Introduction to the topic

At one of the lectures on the prospects for the development of mankind, the famous conceptual analyst and rector of the St. Petersburg Agrarian University Viktor Alekseevich Efimov, a student of the theatrical university asked the question: "What plays are worth staging today?" Efimov answered roughly the following: "How do you want the world to look in twenty years, about that, stage your plays today."

Indeed, the answer is comprehensive. People of creativity have somehow completely forgotten that it is art that has the very magical power that can influence the interests and tastes of people, the events of everyday life and even the course of human history.

Independent analysts confirm that, as soon as the characters were displayed on the screens with a glass and a cigarette, an outbreak of mass enthusiasm for the named drugs was immediately observed. As soon as several vivid scenes with family infidelities were shown on the screen, the number of divorces and other personal tragedies increased sharply. We were shown a juicy image of a street bully - the results are evident on the streets of our cities. Showed terrorists - get the result … Now the image of the apocalypse is being massively worked out …

And we, creative people who are "kind and good", simply create for the sake of entertainment to please ourselves and the public, transforming art from an educating, organizing, inspiring beginning into a banal means of idle pastime.

At best, we sculpt "art for art's sake", which, as a rule, we are especially proud of. Interesting analogies: buses for the sake of drivers, medicine for the sake of doctors … And of course (a sacred cause!) Science for the sake of science. One step away from defending my dissertation, I went to the Moscow region in 1995 to check the topic for patent purity. There I got into a conversation with one of the leading employees of the organization. I was curious: are there statistics, what percentage of dissertations is in demand? She replied that there are such statistics. About 0.1% of dissertations are in demand, and in almost all cases - for writing new dissertations … This means that almost all scientific research goes into the great trash can. That's all the greatness of science! (.. as I once joked: "A monument in honor of the creators of this monument") Upon learning about this, I, frankly speaking, was in a state of shock: the unshakable truths collapsed, and I could not bring myself to finish my thesis.

What, after all, should art be engaged in so that the last trait “does not have excruciating pain for the years spent aimlessly”? Talk about the present? Maybe, but there are other spheres of public life that cope with this to some extent (the same journalism, for example). Turning to the past? Yes, probably, but even here archaeologists and historians are helping us with might and main (unless, of course, they do not write "to order"). Of course, both the present and the past are important, but, nevertheless, the main mission of art is to "paint" the future, a future in which all of us will be calm and joyful. And in this matter, art has no equal.

By the forces and means of the arts, we can "build" an image of a perfect world to which humanity will be drawn. This means that this world will inevitably be built.

“Modeling” the future is an incredibly complex and responsible process. And here it is very important not to make a mistake and not build another false highway to the “beautiful far away”. But how not to be mistaken in choosing the “happiest” fate? How to distinguish a stereotypical opinion, someone else's imposed will or your own delusion for the truth, which is really worth reaching out for?

To do this, perhaps, first you need to answer the main questions: who are we, what were we created for and how to realize our mission in life? How to learn to create? What and why to create?

Tool and material

Everyone is looking for new forms of creative expression. The fact that creative people often do not know and do not try to learn the laws of universal harmony and the laws of its dynamics is not the most sad thing. The saddest thing is that in the pursuit of forms, content is often not remembered at all. Form is packaging. We have established an industrial packaging conveyor, endlessly developing design and assembly technologies. And the fact that most of the packages have long been gone, we seem to not even remember. Somehow everything before this: the conveyor does not let go …

We are constantly in a hurry somewhere, chasing success, prosperity, pleasure … We are trying to catch all of happiness … Yes, only happiness, like, by the way, health and, of course, inspiration has its own speed, its own rhythm, completely independent of ours desires and tightly associated with the rhythms of the Earth and the Universe. And more often than not we are not happiness, but it cannot catch up with us in any way …

We are looking for inspiration. We create. It would be interesting to figure out how we do it. After all, understanding the process is already part of the result. From the school course, we know that all our thoughts, ideas, images are formed in our consciousness, that is, physiologically - in the brain. It is not for nothing that intelligence, memory and logic are so highly valued in our country.

But … for some reason, in all the legends of antiquity, in a person, in the first place, they valued not the brain, but the heart. What is this, a simple allegory, a poet's fantasy?

Our contemporary, scientist - cardiologist Alexander Ivanovich Goncharenko, studying the heart on advanced medical equipment, came to the conclusion that the heart was clearly created not only for pumping blood through the body. First, the number of neurons (thinking cells) in it is much greater than in the brain (the question is, why for a simple "motor"?). Secondly, he found that when information enters our body, the neurons of the heart are the first to respond to it, and only after that the already modified (that is, processed) signals are sent to the brain. Further research led to the unambiguous conclusion that it is the heart that “realizes” and “analyzes” information. It makes a decision and commands the brain to execute.

Involuntarily here you remember the wise words of our ancestors: The heart will understand everything; You can't deceive your heart; I feel with my heart; Sweetheart; Choose with your heart …

But what about creativity? At this point, God himself commanded to create with the heart! The heart can really hear and understand. And this is not an allegory at all. And you also need to create only with your heart. To create is illogical, non-standard, free, sincere.

In our minds, unfortunately, we work (we certainly do not create) according to the canons, rules and instructions.

The heart is, in a way, the operator of the brain. He is the master and generator, on the one hand (if, of course, we give him the right to do so). On the other hand, it is a transceiver of a complex living system "I am Nature", "I am the Earth", "I am the Universe".

The brain is a living, albeit very powerful, but a computer, a mechanical executor of commands, an information output device.

Whom do we trust with our creative impulses: mind or heart? What will we believe, what will we invest our energy and our hopes in? What our creativity will be and what our destiny will be depends on this answer.

Chicken or Egg?

The eternal question: from general to particular or from particular to general? The heart is given to see the common. The brain is made to solve particulars. Who should control whom: a computer operator or a computer operator? Ridiculous question? Maybe. Only today our entire system of upbringing and education is built precisely on the model of the brain's priority. That is, it is the computer that is today called upon to control the operator. All academic science is modestly silent about the natural leading role of the heart. Why? The answer is simple. A developed heart makes a person free, self-sufficient, talented and wise. Imagine that all people suddenly become like this (well, even if not all, but many). Will they then need officials, bankers, industrial magnates, "ideological" leaders and other "powerful"? No. Therefore, science obediently says what is beneficial to our "benefactors." And therefore, the whole process of our education is a long list of methods, instructions, regulations and recommendations … So we cannot see the forests in any way because of individual trees, therefore we blindly wander through life, not knowing the road and purpose, frantically grabbing at traditions and authorities.

Understanding (cognizing) the general picture of the world, we acquire the ability to independently be aware of all its details. This means that in any creative or everyday situation we can always find the most worthy solution.

In the practice of most spiritual philosophies, they first teach the ability to deconcentrate our attention: after all, only then does our consciousness stop clinging to the infinite number of small details that interfere with our movement towards understanding the integrity and essence of the Universe. In particular, they will come as soon as we set ourselves such a task.

About the meaning

Imagine this picture: a lecturer comes to the podium and with a clever look gives out an incoherent set of letters, folded into an intricate rhyme. Without a doubt, he will be considered insane and politely escorted out the door (and maybe even to a certain specialized institution). And this is understandable: the letters (by the way, unlike the Old Russian initial caps) by themselves do not carry any information, no matter how beautifully they are arranged. And, if a person does something absolutely meaningless, it means that he is, to put it mildly, not in himself.

And what about sounds, colors, gestures … These are also elements of information … Do works of art always carry meaning, meaning, revelation, wisdom? I think many artists will even laugh at this question.

The product of our creativity often becomes just a "nice" combination of sounds, colors on the canvas, movements in a dance, frames in a film, etc. (that is, the same incoherent set of "information bricks"). If it is beautiful, even incredibly beautiful, to lay out radio parts on the table, they will never make a TV, or a computer, or anything else that can work and be useful. Functionally, it will be just a useless pile of details. And only knowing and understanding the laws of building electronic circuits, we get the opportunity to assemble the desired device.

In the culture of our ancestors there were no “simple” melodies, “simple” dances … Everything to the smallest detail flowed in a single harmony with the Universe and everything was devoted to self-knowledge (starting with self-contemplation) and cognition (starting from contemplation of the surrounding reality); the exchange of knowledge, the logic of understanding the world and self-improvement, creativity (on the basis of understanding the laws of the harmony of the Universe), which allowed us to multiply a single harmony, improving ourselves and the world around us.

The art of movement, sound and image (tantra, mantra, yantra) are still elevated in Hinduism to the rank of sacred actions. Before the intellectual-industrial revolution in European countries, this wisdom was no less known. Moreover, according to historical documents, Indian philosophy is only the remnants of the ancient European culture, introduced to this country several hundred years ago.

Food for the creator

Thought, idea, fantasy are immaterial, intangible. How does inspiration materialize? Why do some songs, dances, poems, pictures evoke delight, awe, tears of affection, while we pass by others without even looking back?

To get closer to the answer to this question, let us turn again to our wise ancestors. Thought (idea) they called a special form of matter (with which today some non-systemic scientists are gradually beginning to agree). As water can exist in different aggregate states (ice - liquid - vapor - plasma), so dense matter (that is, tangible by our senses) and thought are also different aggregate states of a single universal material. Only the complete picture looks something like this: Idea - Energy - Dense matter (I'll correct: Love was called the primary matter, which for us today sounds even more outlandish and strange). This means that the embodiment of an idea (fantasy, creative image) begins with the accumulation (or generation) of energy, which, in turn, transforms matter in a certain direction (in our particular, showing the world a new masterpiece).

What is this thing - energy? We know that energy can be obtained from gasoline, TNT, carbide, it flows in the power grid and in the battery, it is found in sugar and sausage. But can this energy materialize into a creative masterpiece? Of course not. So what kind of energy do we need to finally materialize our inspiration?

A real, inspired person is nourished by the living energies of Nature, the Earth and the Universe. They are quite unlike those "tamed", artificial and "modified", which we encounter every minute in our civilized life. There is no information in this energy, there is no idea in it, there is no meaning and content in it. It is linear and formless. If you compare such energy with music, then this is one, monotonously sounding note. It is clear that there is nothing to materialize here.

Living energy is like a dynamic interweaving of incredibly complex and beautiful multidimensional patterns. Its information capacity is limitless, and therefore such energy can mediate absolutely any, even the most incredible creative imagination.

Living energies are very sensitive to the slightest changes in the world around us, be it a fall of pollen or a change in our mood. They "absorb", "record" everything that happens in the dense and subtle worlds of the Universe. We can say that this universal energy-informational matrix contains everything that the Creator wanted to convey to us.

When we gain the ability to feel all the richness of life of the energies around us (and they are really alive, no less alive than our bodies), we enter a state of harmony with everything in this world. The real Creator differs from shabashniks and other pseudo-creators in that he starts work only when he manages to enter the state of “seeing” (hearing) the living patterns of the Earth and Space. This is the very state of real inspiration.

We dream, fantasize, weaving our images into bizarre patterns of living energies. Being in harmony with Life, we enter into resonance with nature, and these resonant energies are poured into outbursts of inspiration, and then into beautiful works of art.

But if our song flows outside the flow of Universal energies, it inevitably begins to destroy them, introducing particles of chaos and disharmony into our common world.

In a single copy, this is practically imperceptible. But everything accumulates and one day it begins to manifest itself with all kinds of unhappy surprises.

Living source

It's easy to say, "be in tune with life." But how to do it? Firstly, allow ourselves to remember that we, even if we were born among concrete houses, household appliances and information technologies, were nevertheless born thanks to the forces of Nature. And our real world, our homeland is nature (here I also mean the Earth, the Sun and Space, with which we are also inextricably linked from birth). Therefore, only nature can give strength, and the will to live, and inspiration. Whether she will share her secrets with us depends only on us, how close and understandable we will be to her.

Everything in this world is alive, and everything speaks to us when we are able to see and hear. The grass and the wind do whisper: this is not an allegory. The stars really speak to people. Our ancestors talked with the Earth and the Sun, and nature fulfilled the requests of man. They listened to the snowflakes falling and the stars sound, and they wrote songs of incredible beauty. Nature heard the songs of man and generously rewarded him …

Images

And yet, having completed a short journey into the world of energies, we again return to the images, from the birth of which our creativity begins.

What are the images for which it is worth creating? Since ancient times, art has been called upon to fulfill the most important and most responsible task in the life of mankind - to create perfect and harmonious images, according to which the destinies of each of us and the entire human community as a whole were built. By all means of arts the image of a beautiful, perfect, talented, strong, self-sufficient and happy person, Man and Woman, the image of a cozy home and a strong country, the image of harmonious relationships between male and female principles, man and nature, man and the Earth, man and the Universe were sung …

If today we learn to Hear and See, Understand and Feel, then our dreams and fantasies will attract so much universal energy that our creativity will not only delight the eye, but also fill our world with peace and happiness! Then, indeed, it will be possible to say with a clear conscience that we have not lived our lives in vain …

As an epilogue:

We walked in the dark and did not see the Light -

Living radiance of the Sun and Sky.

We blindly believed in other people's advice, That happiness is in the number of circuses and bread.

We built walls from forest and meadow, They fled to the cold artificial world.

We were losing each other every minute

And with every second we were losing ourselves.

A little more - and the point … But still

At the last moment we managed to wake up

Managed to understand what is more important and more expensive

To touch the source of life with your hand:

Hear the meadow grass whispering, As the snow gently falls on the shoulders, The fog creeps in, pouring milk, And candles are lit in the night sky.

Wash with dew and dress with flowers

And drink plenty of forest aromas.

To fall to the ground in torrential rains, And throw yourself into the sky with the lights of sunsets …

… And in the world there is peace … You sing and dream.

Clouds float in slow motion.

And looking at the sky, you suddenly realize

That fortunately the road is easy and close.

… Life will continue and start all over again, Ice will melt under the gentle sun.

We are eternal like these coastal rocks

Like the sea that sings eternal songs …
