In Rostov-on-Don there is a very remarkable front door (you can really call it that), at the entrance to which it is simply breathtaking and you want to take a leisurely stroll through all the floors, admiring and admiring the extraordinary decoration. Such a man-made miracle was created by an indifferent proactive Rostovite, who turned the entrance of his house into a real art museum.
This entrance of a multi-storey building has become the most unusual sight of the city of Rostov-on-Don.
All flights of stairs are decorated with extraordinary frescoes and indoor flowers.
The original lamps emphasize the beauty of the stucco.
This whole story began back in 2001, when Konstantin Nikolaev, a theater designer, settled in an ordinary panel house, with a standardly decorated dull entrance and a similar apartment. His creative nature could not pass by such squalor, so he began to renovate not only the newly acquired apartment, but the entire staircase space.
The walls of the flights of stairs are decorated with paintings by the author himself.
Frescoes with incredibly picturesque landscapes adorn the walls near the apartments.
Entering such an entrance, I do not want to use the elevator at all.
After a trip to Italy, where Konstantin not only admired the architectural heritage of the country, but was also amazed by the ceremonial parades of ordinary high-rise buildings, he had an irresistible desire to create something similar at home. Having a special education, after all, he is a graduate of the Rostov Art School. M. B. Grekov, he gladly took up painting the walls with frescoes and creating reproductions of paintings by great artists.
To create such masterpieces from plaster, the master had to learn and constantly hone his skills.
The stucco decoration on the ceilings is simply mesmerizing with its airiness and lightness.
And even capitals with charming angels can add grace and grandeur.
Lovely plaster bas-reliefs are a special decoration for any interior.
But he had to deal with stucco for the first time, so he learned a lot, honing his skills.
Over the course of ten years, this extraordinary person has managed to transform the routine and dullness of the floors into an art museum, which looks more like a majestic castle than a modern multi-storey building. There is no definite direction in such an original design, and he did not strive for this either.
Huge mirrors can not only decorate the room, but also make it fantastically beautiful.
Pictures in massive frames add special grandeur to the decoration.
The seascape can always revive the interior.
The result is an unprecedented variety. You can see charming Venetian streets and cityscapes, fantastic stories and cute still lifes, baroque plaster bas-reliefs, forged metal accessories for stair railings, huge mirrors and canvases decorating the walls of the entire high-rise building, tiled floors, and even apartment numbers with exquisite door handles.
The metal forged items were helped by other craftsmen.
And even the floor is paved with extraordinary mosaics.
Lovely trifles give a special grace and sophistication to the design of the room.
At first, the neighbors were happy that their entrance was being transformed, then they began to be wary: everyone was afraid that Konstantin would demand money from them for all this splendor. But now they are incredibly proud that they live next door to such a person and in this fantastically beautiful place.
The frescoes, framed by massive frames, add grace to all of the artist's creations.
Fascinating seascapes adorn the entrance of an unusual house.
Stylish bas-reliefs on the walls are the fruit of the painstaking work of the master.
After all, only after crossing the threshold, plunging into this magnificent atmosphere of beauty and harmony, you do not want to run headlong, jumping over the steps. When you look at these masterpieces, only one desire arises - slowly climbing the stairs, admire the extraordinary man-made miracle!
And even the elevator is designed like the door of a Venetian castle.
Exclusively designed space around the door makes each floor unique.
The painted sill entrance visor sets the style.
Climbing such a ladder, you don't want to rush.
During all this time, the creator had not only like-minded people who helped him as much as they could, but also difficult enemies who managed to pretty much spoil his nerves and even drag him into litigation for the willful arrangement of the common house territory! And it's hard to imagine, but the district court ruled to destroy all this beauty and return to that dullness and wretchedness, which is spelled out in the regulatory and technical documents of the house.
Konstantin creates his works.
The originally designed niches fit organically into the overall ensemble of the entire entrance.
Each floor has a unique atmosphere.
Only thanks to the activity of the public, the media and the support of the mayor of the city of Rostov-on-Don, the cassation court overturned the decision of the first instance and called on the parties to come to an amicable agreement. Only after the publicity, some members of the board of the homeowners' association slightly tempered their ardor and left the artist and his creation alone.
Huge paintings adorning the entrance walls add grandeur to the design.
And even the railings are decorated with unusual elements.
Rural landscapes and bas-reliefs fit very organically into the overall interior.
After all, he spent only his own money on all this magnificent transformation, without demanding or asking anyone for help. Of course, there were caring people who were able to allocate a small amount from their family budget, but the main financial burden fell on the creator of this art complex.
The elevator cabin is decorated with diplomas and favorite photographs of the author of the extraordinary idea.
Refined decoration of the space around the door.
Frescoes with original still lifes and landscapes adorn the entrance walls.
But there is also a pleasant side to this blasphemous story with the court - the creations of Constantine brought him not only citywide, but also national fame thanks to caring journalists who were able to professionally cover this shameful trial in the media, making the entrance a real attraction.
An extraordinary resident of the city was awarded a distinction.
Konstantin Nikolaev is increasingly invited to exhibitions.
Favorite Venetian motives are present in many frescoes and paintings.
The stucco molding on the ceiling creates a subtle and graceful atmosphere throughout the entire entrance.
And even the local authorities, as they did not try to resist such an innovation recently, with the assistance of the city department of culture, awarded the artist for the creation of an art entrance in a multi-storey panel building with the distinction "For services to the city of Rostov-on-Don."
