In a few days, large bodies fall to Earth from space. Their fall is accompanied by a number of mysterious circumstances. On the part of the official media, there is a dense veil of silence and disinformation. The military forces, extraordinary in their scale, are involved. Before moving on to Chelyabinsk, let's see similar objects in other parts of the world.

A fireball moving rapidly across the night sky was observed by residents of California on February 15, who, due to circumstances, found themselves on the street at that moment. Although in terms of the degree of luminescence, and even more so in terms of the consequences of a visit, this space object cannot be compared with the Chelyabinsk incident. The meteor could be observed in several cities, and some drivers even recorded its flight on a video recorder.

For comparison, here is a video of the flight of ICBM warheads over the Kura training ground.

Was Chelyabinsk by a thread?

Alexey Kungurov

The very moment of the meteorite entering the atmosphere at 9:20 am could not be seen. At that time, my wife and I were lucky enough to enter a new supermarket “Magnit” built in Chelyabinsk (which is along the Kashirin Brothers Street). And at the moment when we were paying at the checkout, there was a strong explosion in the street, then a series of small bangs. The first impression was as if a gas cylinder had exploded near the building. Two minutes later, we were already on the street and began to question the workers finishing the outer facade of the building (on a manipulator with a basket).

According to the worker, what happened very much resembled a comet, the radiance was so strong that began to burn my face (note this fact), and he hid behind the manipulator rack. A little later explosions were heard. At the first moment, no one had any other explanation. It took us 10 minutes to get home, and the first thing we noticed was the lack of cellular connectivity. Communication interruptions continued for about 3 hours. Roughly the epicenter of the cloud in the sky was in the southern part of Chelyabinsk, in the area just south of the regional hospital.

At home, everyone woke up (even those who usually sleep until 10-11 o'clock), the children had a slight panic, as the house was shaking very sensitively, then they heard a strong explosion, and there is no explanation for this. Later we had to visit kindergarten to pick up our niece. One glass cracked in it (distance - about 10 km from the supposed epicenter of the explosion) and a lot of travel around the city.

The paradox was as follows: the Ministry of Emergencies and the City Government promptly responded to the situation, recommended that the children be taken from schools and kindergartens, explained the nature of the incident and recommended that everyone stay at home. Employers let people go from work. But all this gave an unpredictable effect: a large number of cars on the streets dramatically increased the number of accidents. The general nervousness of people was felt.

On the local radio, they began to voice calls and SMS messages from people and comment on events. The information voiced by the radio station (if you do not move around the city and do not see the situation with your own eyes) was very reminiscent of a summary from a theater of military operations or a completely bombed city. I understand the condition of doctors and other people who could not leave their jobs and were forced to listen to the stream such information.

If you did not specifically look for places where the glass was broken, then nothing reminded of the recent incident. The only serious destruction in the city is the collapsed roof of the Zinc Plant (finished product workshop), broken display windows, separate windows in schools, YurSU (South Ural State University) and shops, broken frames and glass in houses. The paradox is that, on the one hand, the glass was knocked out at a distance of up to 30 kilometers, and at the same time there were whole blocks of houses where not a single glass was broken (even at the epicenter, more precisely - in the projection of the epicenter on the ground, since the explosion was at a high altitude).

This is the general situation in Chelyabinsk.

It is possible to sum up the results of the event as a whole (my version).

There are many versions of the incident and many explanations for what happened. For example, NASA determined the explosion power up to 500 kilotons, and the explosion height - from 18 to 24 km. The fact that scientists can be wrong, we will now see you. In the NASA version, the size of the meteorite is defined in 17 meters, and weight - in 10 thousand tons … Let's check this information: if we assume that it had a shape close to a ball with a diameter of 17 meters, then its volume will be about 2572 cubic meters; and if it consisted of iron, then it will weigh more 20,000 tons, and if made of granite, then about 6680 tons! This, as you can imagine, is significantly different from what is stated by NASA scientists.

Second mistake scientists - this is the definition of the height of the explosion - more than 19 km … If you look at various graphs of the ratio of air pressure and altitude (1, 2, 3), then at an altitude of 19-20 km the air pressure is only 41 mm Hg, which is almost 20 times less than the normal atmospheric pressure, and there are no conditions for creating a shock wave, which could cause such consequences as we observed in Chelyabinsk and the region.

Therefore, we will begin here our little investigation on the known facts and video materials. Most of the materials are taken from the site Ilya Varlamov

The passage of the meteorite was visible from Yekaterinburg, and this is about 200 km from Chelyabinsk.

And from this video, you can roughly calculate the height of the passage of the meteorite. To do this, we will use the Bradis table and the rule of matching angles and proportionality of triangles. The video shows that the meteorite began to glow at a visible height above the truck (in the observation line in proportion to the dimensions of the truck in front) about three truck sizes and later dropped to a height of 2 trucks. The distance to the truck is about 100 meters. The height of the trailer of the truck is 2.45 m. Accordingly, the apparent height of the span is 5 meters (in the projection of the truck). If the height of the visible flight is divided by the distance, then you get 0.05 (almost 3 degrees of the apparent angle of flight over the Earth). If the obtained dimensions are multiplied by 200 km, then we get the approximate height of the completion of the meteorite passage about 10 km (excluding calculation errors and taking into account the curvature of the surface).

The second way to calculate the height of the explosion is to calculate, taking into account the testimony of eyewitnesses (about 40 seconds) and the calculated values of the speed of sound in the air (340 meters per second), it turns out about 15 km, which roughly fits into the previous calculations, taking into account the errors.

The flight of the Meteorite was visible and recorded from great distances: from Tyumen - 336 km, from Yekaterinburg - 200 km, from Kamensk-Uralsky - 142 km, from Orenburg - 575 km, Satka (mountainous part of the Chelyabinsk region) - 150 km, Kostanay (Kazakhstan) - 258 km.

We need to consider the meteorite itself and calculate the power of the real explosion.

There are standard calculations (1, 2, 3, 4) of the damaging factors of a nuclear explosion. Why do we resort to them? For one reason - we do not have non-nuclear explosives to produce an explosion of comparable power (500 kilotons).

The main factor influencing the calculations is that we have an explosion height of about 10-15 km. As a result, a large shock wave could not form (the pressure did not exceed 0.1 bar), that is, according to the generally accepted classification, Chelyabinsk did not undergo destruction even in the Zone of Weak Destruction. And the power of the explosion must be increased several times.

It is possible to indirectly estimate the force of the explosion based on information received from the builder (direct witness). He claimed that he was very hot with radiation. It can be assumed that if the radiation lasted for a few more seconds and (or) the worker did not hide, then he would receive a 1st degree burn, which corresponds to the power of the explosion not less than 1 megaton on distance 24 km.

On the video (it is better to turn off the sound), filmed in Kamensk-Uralsky, on 25th second a cylindrical body is clearly visible, which in itself raises many questions, since our ships do not fly at such a speed, and the landing of an alien ship at such a speed is guaranteed death (which we observed). According to this video, filmed in Kamensk-Uralsky, an object was long not less than 1000 meters, but rather more (do not forget that from Chelyabinsk to Kamensk-Uralsky - 142 km, and in order for the object to be clearly distinguishable at such a distance, it must be very large!).

Everything that was filmed by observers on video recorders indicates to us that there was no explosion, in our usual sense. What we saw is most like large object annihilation with the release of a huge amount of energy (from 500 kilotons to several megatons). Chelyabinsk was saved only by the fact that this energy was scattered in a large volume (along the trajectory), and the height of the trajectory was more than 10 km.
