December 8, under the leadership of the famous traveler and the president of the club V. V. OKAPI Sundakov, Club members went to the nearest snow-covered nature reserve near Moscow near Podolsk to build feeders for moose and other animals.
The gathering of participants took place at the Favorit Equestrian Center in Podolsk.
The president of the club brought useful gifts - "frost-free", warm mittens.
A meeting of OKAPI participants is always a meeting of friends who share their impressions of their trips.
After that, with 15 cars loaded with boards, tools, hay and taking two horses with us, we drove into a snow-covered reserve near the village of Tolbino.

Animals of the Moscow Region in taiga regions are widely represented by hares, squirrels, wood grouses, hazel grouses, blackbirds, etc. In numerous deciduous and mixed forests, you can see roe deer, wild boars, pine martens, minks, black ferrets, foxes, elks and many others. other Feeders were mainly intended for elk and roe deer.

The place for the feeding trough was not chosen by chance - open-air "restaurants" began to be made in the places where they were before. The participants brought with them all the necessary tools:
The technology for creating a feeder is simple:
- wooden piles from trees are driven into the excavated pits
- a lower outer wooden harness is created, on which the floor boards are attached
- a floor and sidewalls are created from boards and improvised forest materials, in which hay will be placed
- a roof is made separately, which is attached to piles
- the feeder is ready
