Covid-19 is a mild disease, no more dangerous for the population than the flu

German virologist Hendrik Streek presents the final results of his antibody study. The upper limit for COVID-19 mortality is 0.36%, more likely in the range of 0.24 to 0.26% or even lower. The average age of those who died who tested positive was about 81 years.

Biology professor and Nobel laureate Michael Levitt, who has been analyzing the spread of COVID-19 since February, calls general isolation a "huge mistake" and calls for targeted measures to protect at-risk groups.

Medical research

A new review of existing PCR and antibody studies shows that the mean case fatality rate for COVID-19 (IFR) is around 0.2% and thus is at the level of severe influenza.

A new study of antibodies from blood donors in Denmark has shown a very low COVID-19 (IFR) mortality rate of 0.08% for those under the age of 70.

A new study of antibodies in Iran, one of the first and hardest hit countries by COVID-19, also showed a very low case fatality rate of 0.08% to 0.012%.

A new Japanese study of antibodies concludes that about 400-800 times more people have been exposed to the new coronavirus than previously thought, but there were no or almost no symptoms. So far, Japan has done quite a bit of testing.

A new German study with leading virologist Christian Drosten shows that about a third of the population already has some cellular immunity to the new coronavirus, presumably due to exposure to preexisting coronaviruses (causing ARIs). This cellular immunity, presented by so-called T-lymphocytes, is significantly stronger than that of antibodies and may partly explain why many people do not show symptoms of COVID-19.

In the US Tennessee State Prison, only two out of 1,349 people who tested positive had any symptoms.

On the French aircraft carrier Charles de Gaulle, none of the 1,046 sailors with positive test results have died so far. On the American aircraft carrier Theodore Roosevelt, one of 969 sailors who tested positive died (previous illnesses and the exact cause of death are unknown). This gives a fatality rate of 0 to 0.1% for this population.

Many media outlets reported on the alleged "re-infection" of people who have already recovered in South Korea. However, the researchers concluded that all 290 suspects had false-positive test results that reacted to "non-infectious viral fragments." This further underscores the notoriously unreliable virus PCR tests.

An extensive literature review by a Canadian researcher found that face masks do not provide measurable protection against SARS and influenza.

Other events

Another scary news from the media reports that due to COVID-19, more and more children are acquiring the so-called Kawasaki disease (inflammation of the arteries). However, the Kawasaki Disease Foundation in the UK issued a press release stating that there is now a decrease, not an increase, in the disease, and that of the few reported cases, only about half have tested positive for the coronavirus.

In an open letter to the Ministry of Health, a French doctor speaks of COVID-19 as "the biggest healthcare fraud in the 21st century." The French doctor argues that the danger of contracting the virus to the entire population corresponds to the flu, and the consequences of isolation are more dangerous than the virus itself.

In France, it was discovered that a patient with COVID-19 was treated at the end of December 2019, a month earlier than the alleged appearance of the virus in the country. The man was being treated for pneumonia associated with the flu. This case shows that the new virus arrived in Europe earlier than expected, or that it is not as new as thought, or that the test result was false positive. In addition, it is unclear whether the long-recovering patient suffered from the flu virus, or the coronavirus, or both.

Tanzania has demonstrated the value of COVID-19 testing. The goat, bird and papaya fruit have tested positive and must be isolated or hospitalized. And engine oil and some animals can continue to live their normal lives (negative result). The laboratory could not establish the final verdict on the breadfruit (video).

Switzerland's chief psychiatrist expects a sharp increase in psychological distress and more than 10,000 additional suicides worldwide due to global isolation and unemployment.

The so-called reproductive rate, which indicates the spread of COVID-19, is increasingly becoming a political issue. However, this does not change the facts: the peak of the spread was already reached in most countries before the quarantine, and the reproductive rate fell to or below one. Consequently, the isolation was epidemiologically unnecessary.

The clinical picture and risk groups of COVID-19 are likely due to the activation of cellular ACE2 receptors in the bronchi, lungs, blood vessels, intestines and kidneys. However, other coronaviruses, notably NL63, also use ACE2 receptors. Therefore, some researchers expect that the new coronavirus will also be considered in the medium term as a typical SARS.

The exact origin of the new coronavirus has not yet been proven. The original explanation was natural transmission and mutation. But the virology laboratory in Wuhan continued the successful scientific work begun in the United States (despite the ban on such studies) to create a chimera, i.e. bat coronavirus, which can infect humans. The laboratory director says the new virus does not match the coronaviruses they investigated. Not all analysts find her words convincing, and some experts believe the artificial origin of the new virus is possible. It can only be argued that the new coronavirus is definitely not a typical ready-made biological weapon due to the age profile of mortality and the mortality rate (here is not an accurate translation of the SPR paragraph - vaccine.wiki).

The WHO Executive Director recently praised Sweden as a successful model for responding to COVID-19. According to him, Sweden has successfully pursued its health policy "in partnership with the population." Earlier, foreign media and politicians have criticized Sweden for several weeks for its frivolous approach to COVID-19.

Belarus

Belarus, the only European country that has not even canceled mass events, has chosen the most liberal strategy in relation to COVID-19. At the same time, more than 2% of the country's population has been tested. People who test positive are required to isolate themselves. Contacts of the infected are tracked. As of May 6, 220045 tests were done in the country, of which 19255 gave a positive result (8, 8%), 14755 were hospitalized, 4388 recovered, 112 people died. Critics of the authorities consider these figures to be underestimated.

According to the UN, Belarus was well prepared for the crisis, with 41 doctors per 10,000 population, 114 nurses (including midwives) and 110 hospital beds. The average of the most developed countries: 30 doctors, 81 nurses and 55 beds. The country also has a relatively large number of ventilators and a developed epidemiological service.

The EU has allocated 3 billion euros for neighboring countries to fight COVID-19, providing 60 million of this amount for Belarus. However, European officials said that the country will receive them only if the WHO recommendations are followed. As a result, the money bypassed Belarus. Sounds like blackmail.

In recent weeks, the media focused on the city of Stolbtsy and called the situation there "catastrophic", with a huge number of deaths. However, the chief physician of the district hospital called in an interview to stop these manipulations and cited data on the district. For 4 months of this year, 7 people died in the region less than in the same period last year (247 versus 254). If we take only April, then the situation has not changed - also 63 deaths. Over the entire time, 7 people have died with a positive test for COVID-19, of which 5 from circulatory diseases, 1 from kidney disease and 1 from respiratory disease.

Great Britain

Overall all-cause deaths in the UK are now in the top five waves of influenza in 25 years. Daily mortality in hospitals peaked on 8 April.

England: positive deaths in hospitals (NHS)

New statistics show that out of an estimated 12,000 additional deaths in mid-April, about 9,000 were "coronavirus-related" (including "suspected cases"), but about 3,000 were not "coronavirus-related." Of a total of about 7,300 nursing home deaths, only about 2,000 were "coronavirus-related." Regardless of the "coronavirus connection", it is unclear what actually killed these people. Therefore, the Association of British Pathologists called for "a systematic analysis of the true causes of death."

Temporary hospitals in the UK have so far remained largely empty. A similar situation has already been observed in China, the United States and many other countries.

At the end of April, it became known that the blocking, apparently, was not, as officially stated, recommended by any scientific commission, and a high-ranking government adviser "put pressure" on the scientists.

USA

The latest US CDC report shows that hospitalization rates for COVID-19 are at the level of strong flu waves for the elderly, slightly higher for adults, and much lower for children.

The use of mechanical ventilation instead of oxygen masks is carried out "for fear of the spread of the virus." “This is a horror movie,” “not because of the disease, but because of the struggle with it,” the nurse explained. Experts have been warning of the dangers of intubation of COVID-19 patients since March.

Dr. Daniel Murphy, head of the emergency department at a pressurized COVID-19 hospital in New York City, recommends a quick end to isolation. According to him, the wave of morbidity peaked on April 7. COVID-19 is a serious business, but the fear of it is exaggerated, as the vast majority of the population gets sick easily. Currently, his greatest concern is the sharp decline in the level of care for emergency patients and children due to blockage and widespread fear among the population.

Many people die at home and often the exact cause of death is not verified. The directors said the COVID-19 statistics are overstated for political or financial reasons.

The Illinois Department of Health Director has confirmed that even terminally ill people who clearly die for other reasons but test positive for the coronavirus before or after death are being reported as deaths from COVID-19.

Due to the quarantine, 30 million people in the United States had already applied for unemployment benefits by the end of April. This is significantly more than the International Labor Organization predicted for the world as a whole.

Tesla boss Elon Musk called California's measures against coronavirus "fascist." He explained that the "forced confinement" of people in their homes violates all of their constitutional rights.

The woman learned from the news that she died with her family from COVID-19. It turned out that her family photo was used by a manufacturer of medical masks for advertising by manipulating the public's fear of the coronavirus.

Germany, Switzerland, Austria

Overall year-to-date mortality in Switzerland remains within the normal flu season and well below the severe 2015 flu epidemic.

The Swiss Armed Forces have begun testing a contact-tracing app that is to be unveiled on May 11 in collaboration with Google and Apple. Meanwhile, the Swiss "data protection office" said: "If a contact tracing application is appropriate and necessary, it does not have to be voluntary."

In Bern, a rally (about 400 people) against the restriction of constitutional rights was dispersed by the police.

Austrian Chancellor Kurz in March demanded that the population "be more afraid" of infection or death of parents and grandparents. Earlier it became known about the strategic document of the Federal Ministry of the Interior of Germany, which also called for a fear-mongering campaign, which was carried out by politicians and the media. In retrospect, the question is how many people died as a result of this unfounded fear.

An open letter with about 5,000 signatures from people over 64 demands: “Coronavirus: don't protect us at such a cost! Let us decide for ourselves! To protect risk groups, the fundamental rights of the whole society must not be violated, the authors argue.

In Austria (and possibly in other countries as well), kissing between lovers who do not live together is still prohibited. This applies to both public places and their own apartments, - explained the Austrian Minister of Health.

A German lawyer is currently filing lawsuits in several courts against the government's coronavirus measures as they are "manifestly unconstitutional."

Video: In Germany, there have been several recent cases of serious use of force by the police. The young woman was brutally seized by several police officers while shopping, as she apparently "approached 20 cm." to the police. Another woman at the rally was forbidden by the police from holding the constitution in front of her because it was an "illegal political message." The organizer of the peaceful rally in Berlin was also rather harshly arrested. Even older women have faced disproportionate police backlash.

Nursing home

In Europe and America, nursing homes play an absolutely key role in COVID-19 mortality (30% to 70% of all deaths). They need targeted protection and do not benefit from general quarantine.

At the same time, the real causes of death are mostly not established. In Belgium, about 94% of all nursing home deaths are unverified “suspected cases”. In France, as soon as a "suspected case" of infection occurs in a nursing home (for example, due to coughing), all deaths are considered "presumptive deaths from COVID-19", and as soon as a positive test appears (even without symptoms), all deaths are considered "confirmed COVID-19 deaths."

In Germany, nursing home wards were forbidden to go out into the fresh air and communicate with relatives.

A positive test sometimes led to panic. In one Canadian nursing home, employees fled in fear of the coronavirus, resulting in the tragic deaths of 31 patients due to lack of medical attention.

Former New York Times journalist Alex Berenson: "Let's be honest, the fact that deaths in nursing homes are not the focus of the elite media every day speaks of the media's priority to instill fear over healthy reporting policies."

Other Updates

The Youtube CEO announced in an interview that video footage of the coronavirus that contradicts WHO or national health authorities' guidelines will be removed. For example, a video of two Californian emergency doctors, which has been viewed by more than five million people, has been removed. Likewise, the above interview with Professor Suharit Bhakdi has been at least temporarily removed.

In the American magazine The Atlantic, two law professors wrote an article entitled: “Speech on the Internet will never return to normal. In the debate about freedom versus control of the global network, China was mostly right and the US was wrong."

Matthias Döpfner, CEO of Axel Springer and one of the most influential media managers in Germany, is calling for a "disengagement from China" and a strengthening of the transatlantic alliance with the United States in the wake of the COVID-19 crisis.

Washington Post: "The last time the government was urgently looking for a vaccine, it was a fiasco." Rapid vaccination against the 1976 swine flu resulted in paralysis and death.

Many people are shocked by the dubious intimidating reports of COVID-19 in the media. Obviously, these are not “ordinary reports”, but classical and mass propaganda, which is usually used in the context of military aggression or terrorism.

SPR has previously infographically depicted the media networks responsible for spreading such propaganda in the United States, Germany and Switzerland. Even the supposedly "open" Wikipedia is part of this geopolitical media structure.

The political positions and attitudes towards power of various media have been comparatively analyzed in the work of SPR "Media Navigator", which can be useful in assessing the current reporting on COVID-19 by various media.

If, for example, images of soldiers in protective suits disinfecting entire streets are seen on TV, this does not prove the danger of coronavirus, but rather, as Professor Giesecke put it mildly, proves useless "political activity." Or, as others would say: propaganda.

Mass surveillance

By far the most significant and, from the point of view of civil society, the most dangerous event in the response to the coronavirus is the clear political attempt to expand mass surveillance and control over society. In this context, NSA informant Edward Snowden warned of the formation of an "architecture of oppression."

The flu-like coronavirus is serving as an excuse or pretext for the implementation of strategic measures to increase monitoring and control of an increasingly worried population. The most important instruments currently under discussion by governments include:

1. Implementation of applications for "tracing" contacts in the community.
2. Creation of units for the search and isolation of citizens.
3. Introduction of digital biometric passports to control and regulate people's participation in social and professional activities.
4. Extended control of travel and payment transactions (including cancellation of cash).
5. Establishing the legal framework for compulsory medical intervention by governments or corporations through compulsory vaccinations.

In the United States, former President Bill Clinton discussed the creation of a national network of "watchdogs" with state governors. Then New York Governor Andrew Cuomo announced that he would work with billionaire and former New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg to create a "contact tracing army" of up to 17,000 trackers for New York.

Meanwhile, in the UK and many other countries, governments are calling for the introduction of biometric "passports of immunity" and present them as the alleged "only way out" of the politically motivated blocking of the population. Britain's Tony Blair Institute has called for "expanding technology surveillance" to "fight the coronavirus."

In the US, Silicon Valley data analyst Palantir has a key role to play in creating a data platform to monitor the (already waning) spread of the coronavirus. Palantir is known for its IT projects with intelligence agencies and the military and was founded by American billionaire and Trump supporter Peter Teale.

In Israel, the monitoring of civilian contacts is carried out by the internal intelligence service Shin Bet using programs from the notorious NSO Group, known for its spyware used to monitor civil activists and human rights defenders around the world.

Countries like Russia and China also want to significantly expand surveillance of their populations during the "COVID-19 crisis," and will likely do so independently of the United States.

The idea of using a pandemic to expand population control is not new: Back in 2010, the Rockefeller Foundation and the Global Business Network described a similar scenario in Scenarios for the Future of Technology and International Development.

More than 500 scientists are warning humanity against "unprecedented surveillance of society" with questionable contact-tracing apps.

Johns Hopkins University is at the heart of the COVID-19 pandemic and has contributed greatly to the global escalation with misleading charts and data (like an online death calculator). He took part in operations and pandemic simulations, incl. simulations of the coronavirus pandemic in the fall of 2019 "Event 201".

Microsoft founder Bill Gates, WHO's most important private sponsor of vaccine and biometric identification projects, funded the United States Council on Foreign Relations Global Health Program back in 2003, which explores how health policy affects geopolitics and how it can be used to achieve geostrategic goals.
