The Israeli Knesset is considering a bill called "Soros Law" in local media. Its adoption will cut off cash flows to non-profit organizations from the Open Society Foundation, founded by American financier and philanthropist George Soros. This charitable institution is distributing donations to liberalize government systems around the world, with a growing number of countries where its activities are deemed undesirable.

Israel

The author of the document, Likud MP Miki Zohar, is convinced that the adoption of his bill will prevent "anti-Semitic donors, instigators and enemies of Israel" from helping those they support in his country. First of all, we are talking about the left-wing radical organizations "Adala", "Betselem", "Shovrem shtika", "Ir Yamim", "Mahsom Watch", "Yesh Din" and "New Israeli Fund". All of them receive donations from the Open Society Foundation, to which George Soros transferred another tranche of $ 18 billion about a month ago.

"I intend to promote this important law with the support of the head of government in order to protect Israeli democracy from attempts by hostile elements to harm it," said the Knesset member.

Earlier, the Israeli Foreign Ministry issued a statement dedicated to Soros, which states that "this man from time to time tried to undermine the democratically elected government of Israel, supporting various organizations that are spreading lies against the Jewish state and are trying to deprive it of the right to self-defense." According to the Israeli political scientist Avigdor Eskin, the billionaire ranked 29th in the list of the richest people in the world according to Forbes magazine has long become an extremely undesirable person in this country - despite his Jewish origin and biography of a Holocaust survivor.

Soros has always been a systemic enemy of Israel. His Open Society has supported and supports structures that undermine government policies. And we are talking not only about financing openly anti-Israeli marches, but also about attempts to directly interfere in political processes in the country, says Avigdor Eskin.

The political scientist recalls that during the election campaign in Israel in 2015, the US State Department transferred 350 thousand dollars to the Israeli organization OneVoice International, funded by Soros, to oppose the election of Netanyahu - this fact was confirmed by the American Congress. With this money, with the help of other organizations, she purposefully searched for incriminating evidence on the prime minister, published paid advertisements against him in newspapers and spread rumors.

A year ago, e-mails stolen by hackers from the mail servers of the Open Society were posted on the Internet. It follows from them that the billionaire has invested millions of dollars in the fight against the Israeli state under the slogan of protecting the rights of national minorities in this country.

Hackers from DCLeaks released another curious document - the so-called "Soros list". The voluminous methodological manual contains information on 226 members of the European Parliament, whom the Open Society considers its ideological allies and intends to involve in promoting liberal values - in particular, such as tolerant attitude towards migrants in Europe, promotion of gender equality, legalization of same-sex marriage. The criteria of "ideological proximity" also include such as the European vector of Ukraine's development and confrontation with Russia.

Hungary

The demarche against Soros in Israel is a continuation of the scandal that erupted in Hungary in the spring, when it passed a law on education, amended to close the Central European University (CEU), founded and sponsored by the billionaire. The media noted that the emergence of this law was the result of a long confrontation between George Soros and Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban.

The head of the Hungarian government has repeatedly accused dozens of NGOs funded by the Open Society of trying to secretly influence the policy of his country, primarily the policy of its opposition to the EU migration program. Law enforcement agencies have more than once convicted these organizations of providing assistance to illegal immigrants trying to enter Hungary to obtain refugee status. Orban openly stated that bureaucrats from Brussels and Soros "attacked Hungary", planning to replace its population with migrants.

According to Viktor Orban, the inspections have revealed a number of violations in the activities of foreign educational institutions in Hungary, including CEU. In particular, two diplomas issued by the university put it in a privileged position and deprive Hungarian universities of the opportunity to compete with it.

Crowded demonstrations in the country took place in defense of CEU, a number of Hungarian and foreign organizations spoke out. However, in April, President Janos Ader signed a law on education, amended to close the institution.

However, Orban's struggle with Soros did not end there. After the billionaire accused the Hungarian government that it was not ready to host Muslim refugees, protests against interference in its internal affairs swept across the country. In the course of this protest campaign, initiated not without the participation of Orban, posters with the image of Soros and demands not to meddle in Hungarian politics were posted on the streets of the cities.

Radical extremist groups did not fail to take advantage of the situation, and some of the posters were openly anti-Semitic and neo-Nazi in nature - with allusions to the Jewish origin of the American billionaire. This, in turn, sparked protests from both the Hungarian Jewish community and the Israeli Foreign Ministry.

Soon, Prime Minister Netanyahu paid an official visit to Budapest, during which he expressed support for Viktor Orban in his criticism of the activities of George Soros. It was unexpected, but full understanding was found in Israel, says Avigdor Eskin.

Eastern Europe

One after another, other Eastern European states joined the fight against the overseas philanthropist. The Polish authorities have set out to stop the flow of money from Norway into the country, which the Soros-funded Batory fund, which manages almost a billion euros, is channeling to Polish NGOs with the goal of achieving a change of government by 2020. In 2014 alone, Batory distributed about 130 million zlotys (approximately 31.7 million euros) between them. In Poland, they note that although the "advancement of parliamentary democracy" is officially declared, in reality it is about an attack on traditional Catholic values, which are supported by both the majority of the population and the government.

The leader of the ruling Law and Justice party, Jaroslaw Kaczynski, said that the organizations controlled by Soros seek to destroy the national identity of Polish society, and supported the government's imposition of restrictive measures against them. In turn, the Czech President Milos Zeman caught the "Open Society" in attempts to interfere in the internal affairs of the Czech Republic.

“I have serious questions for Mr. Soros. His foundations and structures finance about 90 organizations in Romania that are engaged in dubious political activities and organize protests,”said the leader of the Romanian Socialist Party Liviu Dragnea, who called for tightening control over non-governmental organizations.

Politicians in Bulgaria, Serbia and Slovakia have made similar statements at different times.

United States

In the United States, George Soros traditionally lobbies for the interests of the Democratic Party, which is ideologically close to him. In 2004, he spent $ 27 million fighting Republican candidate George W. Bush, whose policies he considered dangerous to the country and the world. He then participated in the creation and funding of the Democratic Alliance, which unites progressives within the Democratic Party. In last year's presidential election, he supported Hillary Clinton's candidacy and became one of the fiercest critics of President-elect Donald Trump.

The billionaire has invested considerable funds - about $ 600 million - in a campaign for reforms in American legislation aimed at legalizing marijuana and abolishing criminal penalties for drug use. Most of his donations were directed to the non-profit organization Drug Policy Alliance, headquartered in New York.

At the end of the summer, a petition appeared on the White House website demanding that Soros be outlawed and his assets confiscated in connection with terrorism charges. The author claims that the multibillionaire is guilty of "destabilization and rebellion" against the United States, undue and unhealthy influence "on the country's Democratic Party and funding" dozens, perhaps hundreds, "subversive organizations seeking to bring the current administration to a" collapse. " He calls for qualifying Soros's actions as a special form of terrorism "coming from within."

More than 150,000 Americans have signed the petition.

Great Britain

It is believed that the United Kingdom suffered the most from the actions of George Soros. Back in September 1992, he earned more than a billion dollars in one day by running a powerful operation in the foreign exchange market - buying up a huge amount of British pounds and exchanging it for German marks. This caused an instant devaluation of the British currency, after which they began to call him "the man who collapsed the Bank of England." And although many believe that the personal role of the billionaire in the catastrophic collapse of the pound is greatly exaggerated, the fact remains: Soros's activity was noticed by other players who, after him, also began to sell British money and buy up foreign currency, which led to a financial cataclysm.

The collapse of the pound caused an economic crisis in the UK, prices for goods rose, unemployment rose sharply. The country had to overcome these consequences for several years.

A new attack on the United Kingdom took place just the other day. This time the target was Buckingham Palace itself. The International Consortium of Investigative Journalism has published footage of the Royal Court's offshore investment. And although formally these actions do not contradict the law (the queen's income is not taxed), but the image of the royal family has suffered a sensitive blow.

There is no doubt that Soros was behind the attack - the Open Society Foundation is the most famous and largest sponsor of the consortium.

World Blood Fire

In Russia, the activities of the Open Society in 2015 were declared undesirable and terminated. The peak of her activity here fell on the 90s, when the country embarked on the path of liberal and democratic reforms. Political scientist, and at that time a well-known politician Sergei Stankevich remembers this period well. He calls the American "Trotsky of the XXI century."

“Leon Trotsky wanted a world revolution, he believed that the time had come to unite mankind with common values, a single idea and under a single leadership. to unite humanity under liberal-democratic values and under a single liberal-democratic leadership, says Sergei Stankevich.

Trotsky achieved his goals through revolutions and revolutionary wars. Soros believes that in order to achieve his tasks, it is necessary that liberal-democratic governments come to power in some critical group of countries, which then join forces and will spread their values to the rest of the world.

“It was this idea that captured this outstanding person in all respects. He accumulated a large amount of money for this, created the necessary organizational structure and began to implement it. his activities are meeting with increasingly fierce resistance from national governments. This happened in Russia, it is happening now in many other countries of the world, and the number of these countries is growing, sums up Stankevich.
