Video: Top 7 animals created by man

As a result of scientists' experiments with DNA, many strange, sometimes frightening creatures saw the light. Now you will see a selection of the most shocking DNA experiments that I would not recommend watching to impressionable people.
Not so long ago, a video dedicated to genetically modified people was released on our channel, it is called GMO mutants already a reality. Who has not watched it yet, I highly recommend watching it.
And if you saw, I think, remember the footage of pumped up GM cows, at the sight of which all bodybuilders of the world cry with bitter tears.
These pitching in the animal world will be in the first place in our selection. There are also bodybuilding pigs, here, take a look:
And all this was created half a century ago! These are Belgian blue cows. The dream of all farmers. Huge genetically modified monsters. They tried to breed this breed of cows since the 19th century. But the final success came only in the 50s of the XX century. When, after experiments in Professor Hancet's Hedgehog on artificial insemination, a gene was blocked that inhibits muscle development and increased the ability to gain meat weight. Thanks to this, Belgian cows now produce a lot of good tasty and tender meat with a low fat content. Despite the large weight, strong legs will allow the animals to move quickly enough. True, when the genetics of these animals were changed, some features were missed. As a result, the Belgian blue breed of cows has a narrower pelvis, which greatly complicates childbirth. Therefore, in farms where purebred genetically modified animals live, the level of caesarean sections can be up to 50%.
In second place we have … goats.
It seems to you that there is nothing unusual about them. In fact, they are not really goats. These are spider goats. Spider-Man only exists in comics, and Spider-Goats in real life. Wait to laugh. Unremarkable-looking goats are carriers of spider DNA. Why did scientists cross a spider with a goat? We're used to the fact that pet modification tends to be aimed at making more meaty, dairy-free breeds, why would scientists need spider goats? The fact is that these goats give milk containing cobwebs. Spider silk is filtered from the milk obtained, which is actively used in various industries. Is it really impossible to breed spiders for these purposes? - you ask. Alas, no: for the industrial production of cobwebs, thousands of spiders are needed, and they do not get along with each other in large colonies, soon they will begin to kill each other in order to eat. Therefore, scientists decided to introduce a spider gene into a goat embryo, and the result of the experiment was an animal that can produce hundreds of times more silk than spiders were capable of. In addition, such goats can be kept at least a whole herd: they do not differ in cannibalism. Is the milk of these goats suitable for human consumption? There is hardly anyone who dares to check it out.
The third place in our selection is the famous Wakanti mouse. It is also called Mouse-Ear.
The creator of this rodent monster is called Charles Vacanti. More than 20 years ago, a scientist grew an ear-like structure on the back of a mouse to demonstrate the possibilities of cartilage transplantation. But animal rights activists did not appreciate the act of Charles and began to protest against such a cruel modification of poor animals.
Next up are the firefly animals.
You've probably already heard of genetically modified cats, which glow in ultraviolet light due to the luminescent pigments in the skin. But besides cats, there are other animals: scientists decided to continue their experiments in this direction. This is how pigs, sheep, mice and even fish, glowing in the dark, appeared. Moreover, the latter have become a rather successful business project: fish glowing in ultraviolet light look very impressive in aquariums. Such experiments, according to scientists, are necessary for humanity in the fight against diseases. But are they really necessary?
The next ones in our selection are transparent frogs and transparent goldfish created by scientists from Japan.
The fate of these fish and amphibians cannot be envied: they serve as experimental animals. They are used to monitor changes in internal organs, such as cancer, aging, and chemical exposure.
Today you won't see anyone with cats and dogs of the Sphynx breed, but how about bald … chickens?
Not so long ago, Israeli scientists created chickens without feathers. No feathers - minimum maintenance costs + time savings on plucking. Moreover, scientists claim that immunity to bird flu is a bonus. Not chickens, but the dream of any farmer, it would seem. Only now no one has conducted any research that would prove the safety of the use of such chickens and eggs in human food.
In seventh place we have a surprise for pet allergy sufferers. The American company Life Style Pets has taken care of you: for just $ 7,000 you can fulfill your dream of having a hypoallergenic pet. True, genetically modified (that's why it is hypoallergenic).
Or maybe everyone's favorite breeds of dogs and cats are also gene mutants? Or do you know another, more worthy candidate for this collection? And in general, scientists are trying for us, the triumph of science, the joy of learning, all the things … or is it time to tell them: "pot, don't cook"?
