Many who are interested in ancient history are familiar with the archaeological site, which was named Arkaim. This settlement was found in 1987, and not long before the planned flooding of the territory - it was planned to build a dam on one of the rivers.

The object was defended, preventing it from disappearing into the waters of the reservoir. They carried out excavations, having learned a lot of new things, including even the technology of the ancient metallurgists who lived here at that time.

About the age of the object, archeology says that it is about 4 thousand years old. The official version is a fortified settlement. When studying the remains found inside, it turned out that Caucasians lived here.

Reconstruction of the life of the Arkaim people. Heating and melting furnaces. But the question is: where did the ancient inhabitants take wood, if now there is a steppe for many tens and hundreds of kilometers?

And also one more observation: the reenactors depict Arkaim with flat roofs. Don't they know that wooden flat roofs will collapse under the weight of the snow? That is why pitched roofs were built everywhere. Or are scientists hinting that the climate was different before?

Several similar objects were found here. And this territory was named "Country of Cities":

There is practically no information about these objects, except for Arkaim. Imagine what an ancient cultural heritage this territory has, but we do not know anything about it!

Here are some of the images from google maps:

Before Arkaim, excavations of other proto-cities took place in this region:

Settlement of Sintashta. The city was discovered in 1970-1980. in the interfluve of the Ural and Tobol rivers.

It was surrounded by a ditch 4, 5-5, 5 m wide. On the inner side of the ditch there are remnants of an adobe wall, up to 4 m wide. The top of the wall is reinforced with a log palisade. The outer ring of defensive structures surrounded the territory of the village with an area of up to 15 thousand square meters. m.

Finds of household items of the Sintashta culture. They are very similar to the products of the Scythian culture, Andronovo, Tashtyp and other cultures. Almost similar items are presented in the Minusinsk Museum of Local Lore, where all these Caucasian cultures in Siberia can be traced.

Household products from Arkaim:

The knives are clearly Scythian. This means that the Scythians or related cultures lived here. The bottom photographs show injection molds for tools.

It always surprises me that the Scythians did not have swords or other weapons. I did not see them in the Minusinsk Museum of Local Lore when I was there. There are only short knives of the type shown in the photo here. Was there really no need to defend yourself in those days? You can't fight with knives …

Few people know that there are many settlements of this kind, not only in the Chelyabinsk and Orenburg regions, but in other places of the planet.

Plans of cities similar to Arkaim. 1 - Arkaim, 2 - Demirchiuyuk (Anatolia, Turkey), 3 - Rogem Khiri (Syria), 4 - Dashly-3 (according to V. Sarianidi)

There is practically no information about other objects, there is nothing to tell about them.

Rujm el-Hiri is an Israeli Arkaim. For some reason, this object is also called the Wheel of Spirits. Located near the Sea of Galilee. The structure is very similar to the construction principle of the Arkaim buildings.

Short video for a better idea of the object

Another town-settlement similar to Arkaim: the Koy-Krylgan-Kala fortress in Ancient Khorezm. Located in the Ellikkala region of Karakalpakstan, in Uzbekistan:

The structure is a cylindrical two-storey building with a diameter of 44 meters, around which fortress walls have been erected at a distance of 14 meters; the space between the central building and the walls was built up with residential buildings.

The current state of the excavations. Dug up and forgotten. And since all this is built of adobe bricks, it collapses before our eyes.
