On a day off in the first ten days of August, izofatov and I once again made a sortie around the outskirts of Krasnoyarsk. Inspection of the culvert under the old track of the Transsib was the culmination of this day.

I'll tell you about the main route, which took most of the time of this day, next time. This drainage system under the old track of the Transsib (in this area, the modern railway runs to the south) is located here: link It will not be possible to see it on Google maps, and there are no photos there. But the locals are talking about this stone masterpiece of masters of the early 20th century. know.

This is how the old canvas looks a little to the east, in the area of the village of Minino. You won't even say that there was a railway here.

And so - to the west of the drainage system

The first impression of what he saw: the eyes see, but the mind cannot believe that this stone piece of the history of the construction of the Transsib was lost here, in the fields near Krasnoyarsk.

Part of the masonry is disassembled and various rubble stones are visible on the solution. A piece of gray granite is visible, which is not found in these parts.

And the most interesting thing immediately opens up. These are corner stones. But there is no seam between them! This is a single corner block, made as two supposedly separate blocks.

Approaching - we are convinced of this.

How it was possible to make a corner block with two elements of "torn" stone - I have no idea.

And these are corner blocks with internal corners

The outer vault is of gray granite, as far as I know about rocks. But I could be wrong.

We saw one feature on some blocks. All blocks are made to look like torn stone. But on some there were marks as if they had been smoothed out with a spatula. The torn surface was smoothed out and it differed not only in the smoothness of the surface, but also in color.

Another example of "smoothing"

Sergei expressed the version that this is all concrete, poured blocks for granite. But I assumed that when making (cutting) blocks from rock massifs, the old rock surface remained on the face of the blocks. Which had a surface "smoothed" by time. It differs both in texture and color. But who knows why this old surface was put on the front side of the blocks, and not inside? And more examples:

And on this block there was an impression that the excess was cut off from the block with a spatula or shovel.

The blocks are planted on a concrete solution that cannot be broken off by hand. In appearance (color) and strength, it is not worse than modern concrete.

The locals have set up a dump here, and in theory, this place needs to be fenced off and protected by federal laws as an object of cultural heritage, part of history. At least put the signs.

Three holes were found on one block. Perhaps the masons were mistaken when splitting the array? As you can see, even a superficial examination of a not so ancient building object asks many questions. The builders of the Transsib did a lot for sure on the spot, for example, mortars. These photos seem to hint at this:

Let me remind you about the previous post on this topic. In April, we examined these remains of the old bridge: STONE BRIDGES OF OLD TRANSSIBA And finally, such a proposal for the readers. In order to preserve this fragment of stone architecture, I propose to "reach out" to the Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory with a proposal for an elementary protection of this object, which in all respects is a cultural monument. Here facebook page the new Ministry of Culture of the Krasnoyarsk Territory Elena Mironenko. Just leave a link to this post with the phrase "Protect the object of historical heritage!" In the past, residents offered to move and leave on the shore one span of the old railway bridge across the Yenisei, the same age as the Eiffel Tower. But no one was heard, everything was dismantled and cut into metal.
