Surely every person in his life has at least once heard the story of cursed objects that bring their owner an endless series of troubles and misfortunes. But it is much more terrible when a thing attracts evil spirits to itself. Are such stories real or not? Are there really such items that are associated with the other world?
Man has been creating sculptures since ancient times, thereby perpetuating significant events, the names of great people, or leaving messages for future generations. However, there are such sculptures and objects that, with their energy, shock and in some mystical way affect a person.
Mummy of an Egyptian priestess
In the fall of 1909, an essay on the mummy of the British Museum was published in one of the St. Petersburg print media. The article said that an amazing find brings trouble to everyone who touches it. She terrifies the entire staff of the institution and those present. When scientists deciphered the scroll in which the body was wrapped, they found the following: "Mortal, do not dare touch the sacred mummy of the great priestess of the temple of the mighty Amon-Ra." Apparently, the Egyptian priestess, who lived more than 4 thousand years ago, imposed a terrible curse on her sarcophagus, which continues to this day.
The woman's mummy was found in the tomb of one of the pyramids when five black archaeologists from the local population were excavating. They then sold the sarcophagus to a group of English archaeologists. Having received the money, the Arabs suddenly staged a stabbing among themselves, as a result of which they died. These five topped the list of victims of the Egyptian mummy.
Further events developed even more dramatically. The leader of the group, who was transporting the mummy to Cairo and accidentally cut himself on the sarcophagus, had his hand cut off, as the man began to have gangrene. His friend, who brought the find to Cairo, shot himself after a while. Another participant died from a fatal illness. And the fourth archaeologist was crushed by a heavy cart.
However, the deaths did not end there. The photographer, who was instructed to take a picture of the archaeological find, went crazy during the shooting. It seemed to him that the priestess came out of her sarcophagus and began to strangle him. From that moment until his death, the photographer was under the strict supervision of the doctors of the psychiatric hospital. Another photographer, who nevertheless photographed the mummy, died a few days later from sunstroke.
Soon the mummy of the priestess was taken to the capital's museum in Britain. The scientist who was supposed to supervise the transfer of the sarcophagus fell and suffered a serious head injury. Interestingly, even the Egyptologist Fletcher, who collected and recorded all cases of the mystical impact of the mummy on a person, died after a while under mysterious circumstances.
But there were also skeptics who did not believe in the curse of the mummy. So, two English scientists specially visited the British Museum to prove that nothing supernatural will happen. What happened to them? Six days later, one of them was hit by a train, and the other shot himself, although he was a staunch opponent of suicide.
All the accidents associated with the mummy occurred within a year. Upon learning of this, many residents demanded that local officials return the mummy to Egypt for burial. The museum keepers are afraid of the curse, and once again try not to enter the room with the sarcophagus, and the number of visitors has become much less. Were the ancient priests able to foresee that their dead bodies would stand in public view of mere mortals? If so, then perhaps they made attempts to protect themselves from defilement by sending curses.
Mummy of the sorcerer Ötzi or Ice Man
Another mystical artifact is the discovery of a mummy in alpine glaciers. Ötzi or Ice Man is the oldest mummy found in Europe. It was discovered in 1991 by the Austrian married couple Simon. At first they thought it was just the corpse of a frozen man with a knife in his hands. However, very soon scientists found out that the found mummy is more than 5 thousand years old. After examining the body, they came to the conclusion that it belonged to a man of large build. In addition, a strange talisman with mystical signs lay near the mummy. Most likely, the man was a shaman or a sorcerer.
However, strange events began to occur a little later. The mysterious deaths of everyone who was in any way connected with Otsi's mummy shocked the public. For example, all researchers studying the mummy died under very strange circumstances. The married couple Simon also mysteriously and suddenly died. The scientist who collected the Ice Man's remains was killed in an accident. The guide, who showed the place of finding Ötzi and helped transport the artifact to the valley, died during an avalanche. The photographer who took the picture of the mummy died suddenly under mysterious circumstances. All members of the expedition, including the leader himself, also died. And it is noteworthy that everyone died on the eve of important events related to Ötzi: before the conference, before the publication, etc. Only ten corpses due to one mummy, and the culprit himself has a 100% alibi - he is frozen in the museum. Then what is this - a curse that can act even after thousands of years, or a series of coincidences?
Franz Ferdinand limousine
It's no secret that the First World War began because of the assassination of Franz Ferdinand, Archduke of Austria. He was shot and killed with his wife while driving through the city in an open car. However, not everyone knows that after the tragedy, the Archduke's car began to live its own, mystical life. The car “killed” everyone who tried to get behind the wheel. It happened that she herself could start and go. Experts who examined the limousine stated that it absorbed so much energy from the people dying in it that it began to pour out all the negativity on others, bringing only death. Is this possible? Yes, it is possible, say the esotericists. Many objects can be charged with negative energy, and then throw it out on others, causing misfortune.
After the tragic death of the Archduke, the car brought death to everyone who owned it for twelve years. Six times the limousine got into accidents, in which all its owners and even ordinary passers-by died. Negative energy, comparable to a curse, increased and led to a series of mysterious deaths. For twelve years, Mercedes-Benz has "killed" 22 people. Luckily for car enthusiasts, the car is now locked up in the Vienna Museum as an exhibit, but no one even tries to just sit behind the wheel.
Based on all that has been said, how can one not ask the question: do there really exist objects that are associated with the other world or attract evil spirits? Probably yes…
