Even Catherine II, during the time of smallpox in Russia, forbade kissing icons.

According to Christian ideas, during the Liturgy, bread and wine prepared in advance are transformed into the true Body and Blood of Christ. At the end of the liturgy, the priest takes out the cup with the Holy Gifts from the altar, reads a prayer and communion begins. Believers singing "Receive the Body of Christ, taste the source of immortality" reverently taste the Holy Gifts.

I deliberately, so as not to offend believers, write these words with a capital letter, as is customary in church literature. But the topic of the article requires you to look at it from a different point of view. I hope that another point of view, if I may say so, an objective medical one, will not be offensive to believers. And if it does, then this is a good reason to think about your faith and why such a point of view is offensive.

Outwardly, the Holy Mysteries look like pieces of softened white bread soaked in highly diluted table wine (Cahors wine), and believers from one spoon, often licking it with their tongue and lips, eat these pieces of bread. As a priest who has served in the church for twenty years, I can say that some of the participants experience religious enthusiasm or try to portray it, but most believers do it out of a sense of religious duty. But the main thing is that from one spoon - in church language it is called a "liar" - up to two hundred people can receive communion, passing their worms, viral and bacterial infections to each other through saliva. The fact that the body of every person contains, as a rule, many known pathogens, bacteria and viruses is now a medical fact.

The activity of bacteria and viruses in the body depends on the competence of the human immune system. Poor environmental conditions in large cities, old age and chronic diseases of people reduce the effectiveness of the immune system. Thus, the church becomes an area of increased risk of infection with worms, bacterial and viral infections - after all, the main and constant contingent of believers consists of the elderly and sick people who have come to church for healing. And they partake of the communion for the sake of their healing from one spoon-liar!

When I gave communion to people, I involuntarily drew attention to the color of the tongue of the participants. A healthy tongue color was found only in children; most believers had a pale or white tongue, which indicates a poor condition of the gastrointestinal tract and the body as a whole.

The belief that the Holy Mysteries destroy bacterial and viral infections is only a matter of human faith. Worms, pathogenic bacteria and viruses live by their own "faith", the essence of which is reproduction and distribution. In this sense, they "love" the church very much. The Orthodox tradition of kissing icons, relics, crosses and hands of priests, even if they are very holy, also contributes to the transmission of infection.

Perhaps the constant aggressiveness, irritability and depressed mood of many believers are associated with worms and chronic infectious processes that are constantly supported by traditional church life?..

An ancient church rule prescribes the excommunication of parishioners who have missed three weeks without communion, thereby encouraging them to do so. As you know, all life problems of a person, ranging from bad relations in the family and ending with all diseases, including those incurable, in the church are "conquered" in one single way: you need to take communion more often! Alas, such a "medical measure" does not give the desired results and has many side effects, which this article is about.

I want to especially emphasize that you can get infected with worms and any infections not only in the church, but anywhere, through food and water. Rospotrebnadzor somehow monitors this, but completely pays no attention to the church environment as a special risk zone. Apparently, Rospotrebnadzor is already all Orthodox.

After the liturgy, the priest will have to do the worst thing for his health - what remains in the chalice after the sacrament must be eaten, or in the Church language - “consumed”. And in the bowl by this time there is a mixture of completely soured pieces of bread and human saliva, which falls into the bowl from a liar during communion. Usually the deacon consumes the cup, but if he is not there or he somehow managed to evade this, then the priest goes to the consuming of the shrine. True, alcohol lovers - priests and deacons - consume the cup with great pleasure, especially since a portion of Cahors is required after consumption. It is appropriate to note here that, according to my many years of observation, there are very few healthy people among the clergy and church parishioners.

When I left the church, the first thing I did was cleanse my body of not very holy gifts received during the service. I will refrain from intimate details, but I will only say that it took several years. The treatment of one yersiniosis took six months.

What is the rite of communion?

What is done with insects that enter the chalice during the liturgy?

The fate of the fly, which fell into the bowl at different times of the ceremony.
