So, it's sad to read all this. In the 80s, he did an internship in academic institutions. I will not specify why and for what reason. And I had to directly observe a similar situation specifically at the Physics Department of Moscow State University. Lomonosov. Zavlab, nominally my boss, in order to preserve funding for laboratory research, had to add to the work plan, as he joked, a few commendable words about "EPNstein's electro-mechanics", not forgetting to mention him as an outstanding and brilliant scientist at the faculty commission. The employees themselves were actively squeezed out of the faculty and from science, in general from scientific institutions. Zavlab mentioned how it happens and being well aware of the methods. For example, a scientist is transferred to a non-core scientific institution or where there is no necessary equipment and laboratories. This is the gentle way. Worse when it came to family members of employees: they could simply not be given a ticket to a pioneer camp for a child, etc. Scientific works were censored and not accepted for publication, etc. I quote, as I remember, the words of Zavlab: a pseudo-scientific SS beast, most of which are either Masons or Jesuits (Isusites), at least from those whom I know. There are few memories, but enough to form a definite idea of the person who judged Science. For example, how E. P. Kruglyakov came to our house and called us, children, with incomprehensible words "my little Jesuitics." We did not understand the meaning. The mother regularly, with the arrival of this guest, made a scandal for "the propaganda of religion in the presence of children and anti-Sovietism." He always brought with him only one candy (or a candy wrapper from it, explaining that he could not resist and ate it on the way), because of which we had to quarrel. Always accompanied by the words: be careful, she may be poisoned. After all, I, wow-wow, dog! We shouted cheerfully: Uncle Fantik (we often called him Fantik because of the empty wrappers from not delivered sweets, Edik could not pronounce it), whose dog are you ?!
