Miracle-haters pranksters love to find a simple comic explanation for the UFO evidence: they are invented by workers who stole something at work and blamed everything on "aliens from outer space." There are many cartoons about this.

However, in this real story, the opposite happened. On February 17, 1985, near Petrozavodsk, a glowing ball flew at a distance of 100-150 m from the train and dragged the train for 22 km, saving 300 kg of fuel:

The story got publicized, because the train drivers talked over radio communications with the duty officer at the Novye Peski station, and many of their colleagues heard this. Also, this ball was seen by the station attendant and some of the oncoming train drivers. In addition, there was material evidence - large quantities of fuel saved and strange disruptions in the movement of the train.

The name of the person on duty at Novye Peski station is Zoya Grigorievna Panshukova.

I found another mention of a certain Zoya Grigorievna Panshukova, also from Karelia. (Therefore, most likely this is the same woman):

In Karelia there was a very famous Zoya Grigorievna Panshukova, worked miraclesand saved people. I brought a girl to her who resisted internally, did not believe, and this Zoya Grigorievna meets us in the same way, they say there is no strength, time, her legs are sick, and the session was fateful!

Perhaps this was some kind of mystical sign for this particular woman, and the rest of the eyewitnesses are casual witnesses. Request to readers. If you know something about this Karelian miracle girl, let me know.

Two weeks later, on March 4 of the same year, a detailed survey of both drivers was carried out at the premises of the Union of Journalists of Karelia. The poll was recorded on a tape recorder by G. V. Sorokin, Secretary of the Board of the Union of Journalists. A photocopy of the transcript of the interrogation, printed on an ordinary typewriter, was sent to me by ufologist Mikhail Gershtein (in PDF format)

It is interesting that eyewitnesses did not use the word "UFO", but called it "object", "searchlight", "ball", etc.

The following details are revealed from the transcript (according to the drivers):

1. The driver's assistant on that train was called Viktor Mironov (I didn't come across him in the video, I could only find the video evidence of Sergei Orlov). The name of the dispatcher at the Novye Peski station is Zoya Grigorievna. The drivers did not know the surname. On my own I will add - her name is Panshukova (google if in doubt).

The train driver Gennady Dushin heard the negotiations with the duty officer in Imatozero. He memorized the time of the beginning of the negotiations and later informed the drivers of this train, who did not time themselves.

This transport accident was sorted out:

  • depot manager - Alexey Ivanovich Ponomarev,
  • Deputy Head of the Depot for Operation Illarion Illarionovich Palchun,
  • brake instructor Vyacheslav Olegovich Ulichev.

2. 300 kg of fuel is approximately the amount of fuel needed for a train to travel 50 km. That is, the train moved almost all the way without the aid of its own engine. Although the train, with visible UFO accompaniment, moved only 22 km.

3. The train consisted of 70 empty wagons with a total weight of 1,558 tons. Train number 1702.

4. According to the drivers, the size of the glowing ball is about 30 cm, the distance to it was 150 m, it flew at a height of 30 m. It shone with white light and emitted a cone-shaped beam of the same color, but less bright than the ball itself.

5. Everything happened in the dark, the sky was cloudless, because the stars were visible.

My restoration of the chronology of events according to the protocol of polling drivers

At the very beginning, at 20:30, a bright object appeared at a distance of 200 m to the right of the train on the "Imatozero - Novye Peski" section. Immediately, as he was noticed, he smoothly moved forward of the train to the right.

In the diesel locomotive's cabin, Sergei Orlov was the first to notice this, calling it a rocket. The assistant replied that it was not a rocket, but a star. Then the driver pointed out that this object is too large for a star and called it a helicopter. Then this version was discarded.

The first impact on the train occurred 5 minutes after the appearance of the ball, when the driver tried to reduce the speed to 25 km / h, in accordance with the movement plan. But, the train did not slow down, but, on the contrary, accelerated a little. It was the 456th kilometer of the Petrozavodsk-Suoyarvi section. Then the driver made a second braking, not foreseen in the plan. After the second braking, it was possible to reduce the speed to the required value. Further, the train inexplicably moved without the help of the engine, but the speed did not decrease, which gave fuel savings of 300 kg from the norm on this section.

Being 4 km from the Peski station, the driver informed the duty officer about an incomprehensible object in front of the train. Zoya Grigorievna went out of her booth to look, but saw nothing and returned to the booth. Then the UFO began to move away from the train in the direction of the station, the woman went outside a second time, and saw him three times. (how it is known that she saw him - not specified).

The ball flew away as far as the station, and when the train passed the station, the ball reappeared on the left in front. And at that moment the train, for some unknown reason, sharply reduced the speed by 10 km / h. The machinists called it a "blow". They use the expression "not a push, but a blow" that I do not understand. As if the train had hit something. At the same time, the train brakes did not work.

After hard braking, the train again began to move at normal speed so that there was no need to use the engine.

Then the train made a planned stop for 25-30 minutes at the station Zastava. At this point, the balloon was flying several meters lower than at the beginning. After the train stopped, the balloon flew to the left behind the forest plantation. The driver, according to the regulations, must go out for an external inspection of the locomotive, but he was afraid because of the nearby ball. After a while, the ball disappeared. Then Sergei Orlov went out for an examination. After 3-4 minutes a bright light was directed at him "through the trees", he got scared and ran into the locomotive's cabin out of harm's way. And he never came out again.

At this time, the oncoming train passed. They did not say anything to the oncoming machinists.

Then the train moved off and again the ball stood in front of the left at the same distance and accompanied the train up to 434 kilometers of track, after which at 21:45 it very quickly disappeared beyond the horizon finally to the left towards Finland.

That is, the total time of communication with the ball is 70 minutes, of which 40-45 minutes in motion, and 25-30 minutes at the Zastava station. The total distance covered is 22 km.

Having reached Suojärvi, the locomotive was examined, no damage was found, the locomotive was handed over to another brigade.

Ksgda Orlov and Mironov entered the rest room for the drivers, their colleagues began to question them about what had happened, because they heard the radio communication negotiations.

A certain Andrey Gorin wrote me a letter:

In the 90s. I lived in Suorvi (Karelia). The former mother-in-law then worked as the head of the railway station in Suojärvi. I asked her on this occasion, what and how … Now I don’t remember exactly, most likely at that moment another worker was on duty at the station, who saw everything that was happening. She reported the incident to the stationmaster.

She told me that the train driver reported that he could not stop the train and was being pulled by a luminous ball, as it were. The driver warned everyone by communication to be given a "green" light in all directions. When the train passed the rail. the station duty station ran out into the street and saw with my own eyes what is set out in the video.

But that's not all. I myself have worked and communicated with people who serve the railroad tracks in that direction. This is the Suojärvi track section. So, a very strange picture turns out …

In reality, it happens like this:

The train, especially laden, moves in a given direction; after passing it, the rails shift slightly, by about 30 cm in the same direction, because at that time the rails were short and there were gaps between them. The crutches that are nailed to the sleepers actually just keep the rails from sliding laterally. When the train goes back, the rails move back too. It was only later that new rails were installed that did not have this drawback.

In this case, there was no rail shift

When the lineman at the station examined the wheelsets of the train and the axle boxes (which brake the wheels themselves), he did not find any heating, and even more so overheating … and the train was on the brakes! Yes, and the wheels themselves from friction on the rails had to grind off, i.e. not round, but there were no signs of this case. It turns out that the entire train practically did not touch the rail, but simply moved through the air

I don't understand why this moment is not advertised anywhere. But this is a real attested fact of the physical impact of a UFO on terrestrial equipment.

A request to everyone who knows how to contact witnesses and participants in this story, let me know. Leo Slim
