My story will be from the series "they look with their own eyes, and do not see; with their ears they hear, and do not understand …" (Mark 4:12).

Let's first think about how it can be that a person looks at something and does not see something important that he should see ?! Or he hears something, but does not understand something ?!

As a rule, this is possible only when a person sees a picture (image) or a real object itself, and he is told from the outside about distracting fables (simply lies) that disorient his consciousness. It turns out that a person sees - one thing, hears - another, and as a result, he does not understand what he really sees!

My favorite classic example of a visual illustration of such a case will also be from the Bible, like the quote above.

According to the "New Testament" of Christ, Jews are devil worshipers … This is indicated by the Savior's words: "your father the deviland you want to execute lusts your father … "(John 8:44). This is also indicated by the words of Revelation:" slander from those who say about themselves that they Judeans, but they are not like that, but bunch of satanic … "(Rev. 2: 9). At the same time, we often see" oil painting "on TV: as priests who call themselves Christians, almost passionately kiss with those same Jews, about which in the Holy Scripture it is said that they are - "a gathering of satanic"!

At home among the strangers. They are alien to us by blood, by faith, by life.

And after all, rarely does any of the believers and even atheists have the idea that such cooperation or such meetings are possible only in one case: if the Russian churches are led by Jews, dressed in different overalls, who call themselves "Christians" for disguise, and there is a special Jewish special assignment in our country!

Here is an illustrative example of how to understand the words of Christ: "They look with their own eyes, and do not see; with their ears they hear, and do not understand …" (Mark 4: 12).

However, today I am least inclined to talk about "religious paradoxes". I want to tell in the same vein about a unique ship built in England under very mysterious circumstances when there was no industrial use of electricity and there was no no light bulbs, no electric drills, no more. It was launched in 1858.

Image
Image

To begin with, the consciousness of my reader must take it for granted that such a ship actually existed for some time. His photographs have survived, as well as drawings made by experienced draftsmen.

This was the Great Eastern between October 15, 1886 and April 3, 1887:

Parameters of the "Great Eastern" ship, which the British called "Leviathan" during its stay on the coast:

Image
Image

This is data from Wikipedia … It also says the following:

There is a surprising date coincidence in the history of this ship. In the same 1858, the unique St. Isaac's Cathedral was commissioned in the Russian Empire, also built using secret technologies, which have not yet been solved by scientists. At the same time, we have been convinced for 160 years that in Orthodox Russia this ancient temple with 48 granite cylindrical monolithic columns weighing 114 tons each was built by a Frenchman Auguste Montferand.

Image
Image

Below is a watercolor drawing by O. Montferan, designed to fool the heads of the then residents of Russia and Europe, who were primarily interested in the question: how did you manage to make perfectly flat cylindrical columns from solid red granite ?!

Image
Image

Manufacturing of columns of St. Isaac's Cathedral. Puterlak quarry, Finland.

In "Wikipedia" the method of making the columns of St. Isaac's Cathedral is indicated: "Breaking of granite columns in Puterlax. Watercolor by Montferan".

It turns out that perfectly rounded cylindrical columns could be literally broken out of a granite rock just like that! That is, about the construction of Isaac in St. Petersburg, the people were simply fooled and are still fooled!

But someone built it

If not Montferand, then who?

But that's another story!

Appendix: "Who built the city on the Neva, now called St. Petersburg?"

With the ship "Great Eastern", launched in England in 1858, the situation is similar. The French engineer Isambard Brunel apparently had the same relation to the ship "Great Eastern" as the French architect Auguste Montferand had to the Isaac Cathedral.

Image
Image

Isambard Kingdom Brunel

It seems to me that both of them were engaged only in the reconstruction of the fact that has already been done before them!

By whom?!

We will find out this later, but for now, let's read one curious text to find out how brazenly they lie to us. Yes, in brackets I will write my comments to remove the "noodles" from the ears of the reader.

"Brunel's Great Ship is a Giant Built at the Wrong Time"

(By the way, by the very title of this story, the author openly hinted to the reader that the ship "Great Eastern" was built by someone much earlier than "enlightened England" expected.

Image
Image

Sobachiy Island, where parts for the giant ship "Great Eastern" were allegedly assembled (manufactured).

Do you believe in this digital kabbalah?

And further. We read above that "the ship was equipped with a double bottom made of special steel, (no collisions with reefs are afraid of him) ".

So, about the release in England become.

Queen Victoria.

(The circus and nothing else! Before the "talented engineer from Great Britain" after the ship was made "an almost insoluble problem immediately arose: it turned out that the ship was so large that when descending to the Thames, its nose would have rested immediately on the opposite bank …" And when Brunel drew a project of such a large ship on paper (if he drew, of course!), did he not see and understand as an engineer that such problems would surely arise ?! - AB).

(In this fragment of the story, the following information is read right between the lines: Engineer Brunel, of course, did not build this unique in its dimensions ship! The immobile giant standing right on the keel on the banks of the Thames, called by all "Leviathan" by the name of the biblical monster, went to the British as a trophy from shipbuilders of other times, but they just owned such unique technologies for the manufacture of metal and its processing, which the British had never dreamed of at that time!

Image
Image

Please note: the anchors are already hanging on the bow of the vessel, and the side rowing wheels are just being mounted! And the ship is just keel on the ground, propped up by logs, as if it was thrown aground by a storm.

It seems that the people who began to build this giant ship right on the banks of the Thames, specially DON'T CAREput it on special trolleys so that later you can lower it into the water, for THEY OWNED that secret technology of moving from place to place of gigantic weights, which was known to the builders of the ancient Egyptian pyramids and monolithic stone obelisks!

Image
Image

Today it is simply incomprehensible to the mind how the ancient builders intended to extract this obelisk from the quarry.

Two more questions arise: what could Brunel have spent £ 120,000 on when he tried to launch the ship? And was he even given 600,000 pounds sterling, about which it is said that " straightaway £ 600,000 ", what was the cost of building a large plant at the time ?!

Most likely, these 600,000 pounds sterling never existed, they were invented by the British government and newspapermen in order to somehow explain to subsequent generations of the British the appearance of a gigantic ship on the banks of the Thames. And 120,000 pounds sterling is that gigantic amount that engineer Brunel took from the financiers, promising them that he would attach rowing wheels to the Leviathan on its sides and install a steam engine on it, and thus, with the successful launching of the ship into the water England will have a monster ship capable of carrying up to 5,000 tons of payload and / or 4,000 passengers!

We read further the story "Brunel's Great Ship is a Giant Built at the Wrong Time":

(The question is, who were those financial suckers who supposedly straightawaygave the engineer Brunel 600,000 pounds sterling, without calculating in advance who this ship will be in demand, for what purposes and will it be in demand at all ?! - A. B.).

Brunel's great ship was not built at the time, when technological progress was not yet at the level that would allow such giants to be erected and launched …"

A source

More than 40 years have passed since the "Leviathan" was in the water, and from the underwater part of its hull, the paint has not peeled off! Why? But because the underwater part of the hull was made of iron, which was not rusted! Like the famous iron pillar, cast in India and installed there over 1000 years ago.

Image
Image
Image
Image

This iron miracle is over 1000 years old!

Appendix: "They were killed out of envy and hatred!"

Now let's look at the construction of this giant ship from the point of view of a shipbuilder or sailor, to see that Isambard Brunel, an engineer from the UK of French origin, can only be considered a genius by a very big stretch.

To make it easier for the reader to understand this, I will cite as an example a Russian shipyard, operating since 1849!

Image
Image

The first ship produced at the plant was the wooden paddle steamer "Lastochka", launched in 1850. In the same year, the Astrakhan two-pipe capstan was built. The first steamer with metal case became "Eagle", launched on April 30 1852 year.

Image
Image

Steamer "Astrakhan", propelled by side paddle wheels.

Let's now see the blueprints and characteristics of the Great Eastern ship.

Engineer Buryunel, knowing that ships with side paddle wheels have been successfully operating for more than one year in the advanced countries of the world, decided to equip the Leviathan with the same side paddle wheels. Below is a drawing of a steam power plant that rotates the paddle wheels, which were installed on both sides of the giant ship.

Image
Image
Image
Image

These rowing wheels, like on the Russian steamer "Astrakhan", only of a much larger size. Their diameter, according to Wikipedia, was 17 meters:

Image
Image

Engineer Brunel took over the manufacture of these paddle wheels and the steam engine that rotates them. You can understand it. Wheeled vessels were already in full production at that time, including in Russia, and they proved themselves very well, especially when sailing on rivers.

But what is surprising is that the giant ship had a steel propeller shaft installed inside the hull, as long as 48 meters and a stern 4-bladed metal propeller with a diameter of 7, 3 meters and weighing 36 tons.

Here it is, the "Great Eastern" stern propeller, albeit with the blades removed.

Image
Image

Are the screw dimensions clear?

Its diameter is 7, 3 meters with blades, and its weight is 36 tons!

What kind of force was supposed to twist it ?!

Compare the Great Eastern's stern rotor to the stern propellers of another giant ship, the Titanic, which was also built in England but half a century later.

Image
Image

"Titanic" had a maximum displacement of 52 thousand tons and three propellers aft propellers, each of which was driven by a separate engine. The two outer screws weighed 38 tons, and the central one 22 tons. At the same time, for their drive, a power plant was installed on the ship with a total rated power of 50,000 horsepower, and a maximum power of 55,000 horsepower. The maximum speed of the vessel was 24-25 knots.

The giant ship "Great Eastern" had a maximum displacement of 32 thousand tons, the aft propeller had a diameter of 7, 3 meters and weighed 36 tons, respectively, for its normal operation the power of the aft power plant had to be at least 20,000 horsepower. but nominally - 30,000 horsepower, otherwise there was no point in installing a propeller of such a large diameter on the ship!

Now we look at the drawing of the giant ship "Great Eastern" and try to find there a stern steam engine of the corresponding power. And what do we see?

We see something very small, occupying four times less volume than the power plant that rotates the ship's side paddle wheels!

Image
Image

I was able to find another, more detailed drawing of the giant ship "Great Eastern", created, apparently, by a modern blueprint. It clearly shows a 48-meter long steel propeller shaft, designed to transfer rotation from the stern engine to the stern propeller, and even painted something similar to the power plant.

Image
Image

The same draftsman, apparently, depicted in the following figure and the power plant itself, designed to rotate the stern propeller. It looks a lot like a four-cylinder internal combustion engine!

Image
Image

This is not a photograph! This is a drawing! Looking at this picture, I want to believe that the draftsman depicted on it really the stern engine of the giant ship "Great Eastern". And that the four working cylinders of the engine, in theory, were located horizontally for compactness and rested with their cylinder covers against the sides of the ship. (Which probably made such a structure non-separable and unrepairable).

However, I cannot believe this hand-drawn image because the flyer below (her photograph) from over 150 years ago with a declared value of 5 penny exposes the lies spread by the worldwide electronic encyclopedia!

"The main power plant of the ship" Great Eastern ":

Four-cylinder steam engine of 4000 liters. with., built by the firm "James Watt & Co.", working on a screw.

Steam engine with 4 oscillating cylinders of 3,650 liters. with., built by the firm "Scott Russell", working on rowing wheels ".

This leaflet tells us that the giant ship "Great Eastern" had a power plant with a total capacity of only 3,000 horsepower.

Image
Image

You can see what it says here: 20.000 tons tonnage of the vessel - 3.000 horsepower?!

How does this agree with the stated figures in the world "Wikipedia"?

Image
Image

Say, they wanted to have one more engine on the ship with at least 5,000 hp, but didn't? Or could they not make that powerful stern and at the same time very compact engine, which was in the "Leviathan" even before the engineer Brunel was engaged in its reconstruction, to work?

Image
Image
Image
Image

Aft "Great Eastern", side and top view.

So, instead of the necessary power plant with a minimum power of 20,000 horsepower for a ship of this length with such a tonnage and with such a stern propeller weighing 36 tons and a diameter of 7.3 meters, it had a steam power plant with a total power of less than 3,000 horsepower.

What the propulsion system looked like, which ensures the rotation of the side paddle wheels, can be judged by the model that is on display today at the Science Museum of Great Britain:

Image
Image

Models aft power plant, designed to rotate the stern propeller, in the Science Museum of Great Britain for some reason is not. However, there was another advertising poster from a century and a half ago, which gives completely different numbers than what Wikipedia tells us:

Image
Image

Below on the poster is the following data of the ship "Great Eastern"under the command of Captain John Vine Hall:

Rowing motor power - 1000 h.p.

Stroke length (pistons?) - 14 feet (4.2 m).

The diameter of the paddle wheel is 58 feet (17 m).

Screw motor power 1600 h.p.

Stroke length (pistons?) - 4 feet (1.2 m).

Propeller diameter - 27 feet (7.3 m).

The propeller shaft is 160 feet (48 m) long.

Weight (propeller shaft?) - 60 tons.

That is, on this poster, a century and a half ago, it is indicated that the giant ship had a power plant with a total capacity of not even 3,000 hp, but only 2,600 hp. stern propulsion systemwas even more powerful than the power of the engine driving the paddle wheels. However, the power 1600 h.p.all the same, it did not correspond in any way to the parameters of the 7, 3 meter aft propeller installed in the "Great East", which needed an order of magnitude (10x) more powerful engine!

With such a propeller and with such a power of the power plant, the "Great Eastern" ship could reach a speed of no more than 4.5 knots!

And another nuance. The ship "Great Eastern" also had a third mover - the wind that blew into the sails! Combining the work of all three engines on one ship should have become an insoluble task for the design engineer due to the huge diameter of the stern rotor.

When the ship was moving only under sails, the locked stern propeller (with the stern engine inoperative) was simply obliged to work as a powerful brake. And if both the wind and the stern propulsion system of the ship worked simultaneously, providing the maximum speed of the ship of 4.5 knots, then when the ship was moving above this speed, the stern propeller was again forced to work as a brake.

Maybe that's why, before the decision of engineer Brunel to launch the Leviathan frozen on the shore, all four blades were removed from its stern rotor, as we see in this photo ?!

Image
Image

All four blades have been removed from the aft propeller.

We also see in this photo that the giant ship is simply standing on the ground, and there are no carts with rollers and rails under it, and after all, any shipbuilder, before starting such a construction, had to first think about how he will launch such an oversized metal structure with a dry weight of 12,000 tons!

This is how heavy ships are launched:

Image
Image

So it turns out with this giant ship "Great Eastern" one continuous mystery-story, which does not at all correspond to the statements of newspapermen about a "talented engineer from Great Britain of French origin" named Isambard Brunel.

One thing is clear in this story: the presence of such a ship in England in the middle of the 19th century pushed its entire industry and world science of that time to develop. The "Leviathan" standing on the shore, renamed after launching into "Great Eastern", contributed to the widespread use of iron and steel shipbuilding, improved designs of steam engines and boilers, and the use of new approaches in the design of ship structures.

That is, it was not science and scientific and technological progress that naturally gave rise to such a brainchild as the giant ship "Great Eastern", but it was he, "ahead of the time", by his miraculous birth was the locomotive for the intensive development of the entire British industry and shipbuilding, which everyone recognizes today.

So who actually built it?

Was it not from him that the biblical story about Noah's Ark was written ?!

P. S

I am not alone in thinking that the official history of the Great Eastern monster ship is mostly false. Here's what, for example, perplexed the blogger Vaduhan_08writing to livejournal.com.

Where is the declared 3 million iron rivets aboard the Great Eastern? Judging by the photos, it was created using electric welding!

For comparison, here are photographs of the sides of two ships: the Titanic, built in 1911, and the Great Eastern, which was officially built half a century earlier, during 1855-1858:

Image
Image

"Titanic" riveted, and "Great Eastern" welded?

But this is from the realm of fantasy! We are taught that only in 1882 N. N. Benardos invented electric welding using carbon electrodes, which he patented in Germany, France, Russia, Italy, England, the USA and other countries, calling his method "electrohephaestus". And in 1888, N. G. Slavyanov was the first in the world to apply in practice arc welding with a metal (consumable) electrode under a flux layer. In the presence of a government commission, he welded the crankshaft of a steam engine.

It turns out that the more you study the history of the Leviathan ship, the more amazement arises …

A comment Joe doe:

Something I thought about from the picture I saw on the English site:

How were the frames attached to the body and how was the double body assembled? WELDING ANYTHING? Or have they already lost all shame and are pushing into insolent bullshit? Where are the rivets?
