This is Yuri Mashchenko - a professional, a design engineer and just a person who uncovered another scam of our crooks and thieves.

This is a special case from my area, but I'm sure it's not the only one. Taking advantage of our technical illiteracy, the general decline in education and the departure of specialists abroad, officials and service providers are robbing you and me. So it was with the tenants of one of the five-story buildings on Preobrazhenskaya Square, who overpaid MOEK for years. Thanks to a simple scheme of utilities, the tenants of the house instead of 2,000,000 rubles paid 6,000,000 - 3 times more!

A few years ago, general house heat meters were installed in Yuri's house. The house must be said to be unusual - a five-story building of the last series with very thick walls that keep heat well.

Surprisingly, the monthly payments only increased until Yuri went down to the basement and was "stunned". What he saw shocked him.

The scheme of pipes installed in the basement did not agree with any norms, and the numbers on the meters did not lend themselves to any mathematical calculations. It’s just that Yuri was one of the designers of electronics factories in the Soviet Union, and what is Chinese literacy for us is bread for him in the profession. Well, an insulated five-story building cannot consume half of the plant's norm - this is possible only at a daily outside temperature of -50!

At a general meeting of tenants, it was decided not to pay. MOEK shortsightedly filed a lawsuit, and this was what Yuri needed.

Already at the first trial, new shocking details surfaced - the engineer got his hands on whole boxes of documentation of numbers, tables, diagrams and graphs. It turned out that five houses with their own meters were connected through one common pipe (instead of individual ones), but most importantly, the utility workers connected a nearby huge nine-story building to this network!

After accurate calculations, it turned out that the indicators giving information to the meters (pressure, density, temperature, etc.) in the basement pipes were generally installed on the street! Technical heat losses from the pipes were also higher than the norm.

Mashchenko won all the courts, and now his house does not pay for heating - he has already overpaid 3 times! Alas, there is no such Yuri in every house now, but I would very much like to - the whole country is shrouded in such schemes and not only in the housing and utilities sector.
