Have you ever thought about the fact that the depths of our seas and oceans are much less explored than space? This is actually the case. We know a lot about planets and satellites, about meteorites and distant galaxies, but we are practically unaware of what rests in the depths of the sea on our Earth.
The greatest depth to which a man has plunged is 330 meters. This record belongs to a professional diver from France, Pascal Bernabe. The Frenchman was immersed in special equipment and it was a very difficult and risky process.
If we talk about the most modern submarines, then the maximum depth that a submarine can reach is 480 meters.
There are also special deep-sea vehicles that are capable of going to a depth of several kilometers. The record belongs to the Russian deep-sea vehicle "Mir", which sank to a depth of 6.5 kilometers. Deep? Of course, but the depths of the oceans reach much larger numbers.
The deepest known place in the ocean today, the Mariana Trench, reaches a depth of over 11 kilometers. The largest mountain on Earth - Everest (8 kilometers 848 meters) can completely hide in the Mariana Trench.
But even at a relatively shallow depth, absolutely amazing things can await us. For example, one of such mysterious and mysterious finds awaited researchers at a depth of only 87 meters. It happened in 2011, in the Baltic Sea, not far from Sweden. Swedish treasure hunters on sunken ships in the Baltic region once discovered, with the help of locators, something unusual on the seabed. It was something of a round shape, the diameter of this object was about 60 meters. There were several versions of what was at the bottom. According to one of them, the object at the bottom of the sea is the remains of some unknown weapon or structure, with the help of which Germany during the Second World War fought against the fleet of the USSR and its allies in the Baltic.
There was also a version that it was just a huge stone with a rare, round shape. However, the Swedish oceanographers who studied this object did not agree with the version of the ordinary stone. One of the researchers, by the name of Lindbergh, said that he had never seen anything like it in his life, although he had been engaged in oceanography for more than 15 years. The object at the bottom of the Baltic Sea amazed everyone with its almost ideal forms, which suggested an artificial origin. A version was also put forward that this object is a secret development of the German military industry during the Second World War, namely, a disk-shaped aircraft. However, after immersing the cameras on the object, it became clear that this object is unlikely or was in the past an aircraft. But despite this, furrows stretched along the bottom from the object, more than 250 meters long. It looked like a brake trail.
The object itself is raised above the bottom at a level of 4 meters. On it there are something like long corridors and all kinds of depressions and holes. This was told by divers who dived to this mysterious object. They managed to remove the stone from the surface of the object and transferred it to the Weizman Israel Archaeological Institute. The institute's specialist was very puzzled by this material and stated that it was basalt with traces of burnt organic material. This material is used in modern construction. Another oddity is radio interference and failure of compasses and electrical appliances. All this happens when the ships sail over the place where the object lies, but it is worth sailing 150 - 200 meters and everything starts to work.
There are other versions of what this strange object is. According to one of them, the object at the bottom is a meteorite that fell into the sea several thousand years ago, but of a very strange shape. On the other hand, it is simply a geological formation associated with the Ice Age and the movement of rocks. Well, someone puts forward a version that this is a ship of representatives of extraterrestrial civilizations, and therefore radio interference and magnetic anomalies are created next to it. In any case, these are all only versions, and there is still no exact answer to this question in the scientific world.

He was definitely a genius. First he gave the world scuba gear, then he devoted his life to the sea and raised the study of the world's oceans to a new level. But it was not enough for Jacques-Yves Cousteau to simply swim in the seas and shoot marine life on camera. He wanted to change the whole world and influence the history of human civilization. In 1962, Cousteau launched an absolutely fantastic project: his team spent a total of 3 months in houses at the bottom of the ocean
