When I was still working as a “teacher for life”, many of my “students” pretended to understand well the meaning of the quote, which is indicated in the picture below and which is used as an epigraph to the article “Now I will start over - and this time …”, Even before the appearance of this blog, I explained to them the problem described in the article many times in various forms. They all agreed with what I told them … they said they understood the meaning … later they liked this picture in the contact, approved the article mentioned, in which I expressed the idea more fully … and they all did exactly what in this article is criticized. Of course, I'm talking about those who continued to communicate with me, because I know little about the rest, but I suspect that not all of them were able to somehow pass this part of the path in any other way, without trying in practice at least part of everything variety of the described problem.

Now I decided to simply list all the real situations that I remember now that relate to the problem discussed in the article, just without verbose explanations. In absolutely all of these situations, a person commits the same mistake. THE SAME. And this mistake will ALWAYS lead him to consequences in which negative feedback completely and repeatedly overlaps a small local benefit, which then completely dissolves into disappointment. And disappointments always remain, at times for a very long time. The only plus of such consequences is a deep negative experience, which, as they say, is also an experience.

So, these are the situations, all of which I saw in real practice of education and all of which were attacked by real people, again, all of whom “understood” in advance the meaning of the quote, which I explained to them more than once. Well, all of them, of course, had problems with it, after which … of course nothing changed. Should it be?

Again, all the situations below are ABSOLUTELY ONE AND ALSO:

• Now I will move to another city (country, region, village, settlement) - and this time …
• Now I will divorce her (him) and marry (marry) another (another) - and this time …
• Now I will buy a new car - and this time …
• Now, instead of the broken thing, I will buy a new one (the same or even better) - and this time …
• Now I will pass this session somehow, just not to be expelled - but next time …
• Now I will quit my studies at the university and will study myself - then …
• Now I will buy textbooks (or smart books) - and this time …
• Now I will move to another apartment - and this time …
• Now I will drink for the last time - and I will quit …
• This is the last cigarette - and that's it …

Further, the form of the error and the nature of its manifestation are different, but the error is still the SAME:

• If I had such and such a thing, then everything would have been different … (this error has been manifested in me for a very long time).
• All because of such and such a circumstance, if it were not for that, then I would have burned it out like that … (this is a later mistake from my life practice).
• Now I will buy new sneakers and start running.
• Tomorrow is Monday - I'll start adhering to the daily routine.
• If I had a good job, I wouldn't drink. When she will be - I will work, but I will not drink.
• If it were not for my health, I would have done this and that (usually this is said after another puff or sip, or even after both actions).
• I need a teacher for life (spiritual teacher) - then I will develop.
• I am stupid because I was poorly taught - that would be taught well, I would be smart.
• The teachers of the university are stupid, they themselves do not know anything and do not know how to teach, so I have not learned anything in 6 years. Now, if they were normal people, I would then …
• I entered this faculty only at the behest of my parents, if not for them, I would then …
• My parents force me to do this and that, if they gave me more freedom, then I would …
• My parents do not understand anything, but they constantly climb into my life, if they did not climb, I would then …
• If Putin were a competent manager, then in our country there would not be … (hereinafter, ANY problems are listed that are never directly related to Vladimir Vladimirovich).
• Artyom, I don't understand this and that, if you explain to me, then I will understand, because you explain so well (a classic mistake of a consumer of information, and this is almost 100% of my "students").
• Now I will read all the articles in the "Clear in the Woods" blog - and then!..
• What alone can I do? (in the sense of a reproach, that is, the thought is meant: "if there were more of us, we would …", or: "if everyone did this, it would be …" This is a classic self-centered delusion, that is, only an atheist can say so, including the atheist "believer").
• When the state takes care of people, then I will take care of the state (this is a masterpiece of world classics).

Now there are three situations in which to catch the SAME error "is it just not everyone is capable of":

• “Shut up now at all! - And what, I now have to this and that instead of …? " (the screams of an indignant parasite when what they want is taken away from him, rightly saying that he still did not deserve it, but he believed that there was no need to deserve anything, and someone else should do all the preliminary work). Absolutely everyone who pronounced this and a similar phrase fell into several situations at once, described above.
• Now I will re-read the list of situations Artyom listed once again - and I certainly will not fall into any of them.
• Readers do not understand well the topic "now I will start over - and this time …", so now I will write another article on this topic - and this time …
• A little explanation

• Everything said here and in the previous article about this problem does NOT mean that you should give up any changes in your life. I only warn against the danger of external changes without concomitant internal changes. Only after a person has performed an internal effort, during which he acquired new qualities or abilities, will he be able to keep the desired external changes from turning the situation into the same thing from which he just tried to escape.

  Many people forget that any problem has one important integral part - the very person who observes the problem. If you try to solve only the external part of the problem, without making an effort to change your personality, the problem will remain in the person - and he will certainly reproduce it under ANY external conditions. Maybe in a different form, but still the problem WILL be repeated over and over again. Is always.

  PS … There is a rare set of cases when a person really sets out to change something - and this time really changes it completely (both himself and external circumstances). If someone is offended when he sees himself on the list, let him think that he is the very rare exception to which what has been said does not apply.
