Tomorrow, September 1, for the first time in 25 years, a unique Russian school, the teaching system of which has been recognized by UNESCO three times as the best in the world, will not open its doors to Russian students. The bailiffs sealed the "Shchetinin school", and the children were sent to their homes throughout Russia to get a job in other schools.
No, the school was not closed. They just suspended the activity for 90 days to correct the revealed violations of the requirements of the legislation on the licensing of educational activities. For some reason, the inspecting authorities chose not a fine, but precisely this kind of punishment for not perfectly executed papers and for the absence of all the required papers for buildings that the children built themselves and donated to the state.
The federal state budgetary general educational institution "Lyceum-boarding school for the complex formation of the personality of children and adolescents", popularly called the "Shchetinin School", does not refuse to bring all its documentation in full compliance with the requirements of the law. They simply asked to give them the opportunity to continue their educational activities and to eliminate shortcomings in the working regime, because the design of buildings is proceeding in a legal way - it’s just not a fast process, because there are conclusions, examinations, checks by different authorities.
“The main reason for the contradictions is the legal status of several educational and residential buildings of the Lyceum, which currently belong to the category of residential premises.
As a result of the audit of the Ministry of Education, Science and Youth Policy of the Krasnodar Territory, the Lyceum was issued an order for 39 violations. The term for elimination is 2 months. To date, out of 39 violations, 30 have been eliminated within two months. The implementation of measures to eliminate the remaining violations required a longer period, since they relate to the property complex.
To date, the situation is as follows: The Lyceum received the Order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation dated 07.08.2019 No. R-78, according to which the Lyceum must suspend its activities for a period of 3 months and “ensure the transfer of students of the Lyceum-boarding school to other educational organizations, taking into account the consent of the parents (legal representatives) until August 29, 2019 ". The above Order is based on the Resolution of the Gelendzhik City Court of the Krasnodar Territory dated 07.19.2019, which did not come into legal force, as we appealed against in the prescribed manner. " - gave me a comment at school.

The children built their own houses and educational buildings without any state funding and donated them to the state, and now they were kicked out of school because someone there changed their minds and suddenly decided that the shortcomings of documents for real estate objects used by the Lyceum, which existed at the time of licensing 2 years ago (and the license was issued taking into account the fact that such shortcomings do not affect the educational process, its quality and must be eliminated on a routine basis as appropriate funding appears) NOW it is necessary to eliminate in 3 months urgently and during the period of suspension of the activity of the Lyceum with expulsion all students.

Children yesterday went home with tears to their homes in Krasnodar Territory, Rostov Region, Chechen Republic, Dagestan, Bashkortostan, Moscow and Moscow Region, St. Petersburg and the region, to Orenburg, Lipetsk, Karelia, North Ossetia, Kabardino-Balkaria, Volgograd, Tyumen, Voronezh, Samara, Sverdlovsk, Chelyabinsk regions, to the Republic of Crimea.

These children will return. The school will return to work. This school is like a phoenix - it has already been reborn after the arson. She has gone through a lot - she will survive that too.
For a regular school, 3 months is just one quarter. And in this school, during these 3 months, children master 10-year courses of at least 3 school subjects. Yes, they don't want to go on vacation! They want to learn more! But they are ready to comply with the requirements of the law and arrange everything as it should.
Is it really impossible humanly with them ?!
What prevents to sit down with the specialists of all instances and develop a roadmap - how to arrange everything in the shortest possible time so that all the authorities are satisfied?
Our dear Ministry of Education, well, is it really necessary to tighten the screws like this? Previously, these shortcomings did not prevent you from licensing, now everything has changed - of course, it happens that the requirements of the legislation can change. But after all, it was possible by LAW to get by with a fine even then and give the children the opportunity to learn ONCE THERE ARE NO CLAIMS to the educational process and its quality!
