This incredible story took place in the village of Zarytki, Ryazan region. The blind man built a real wooden house on his own for his elderly mother, because her home began to collapse.
It is difficult even to imagine how a person works by touch with a jointer, an ax, a saw, a drill and even a circular, not to mention nails and self-tapping screws. But he still succeeded and now the mother can enjoy the new house, and also be proud of her son.
For a purposeful and talented person, health cannot become an obstacle, even if it concerns vision. The complete lack of vision did not prevent Vladimir Krysanov from taking up a tool and starting construction of housing for an elderly mother, because her house, which is more than 100 years old, began to collapse, and it was very dangerous to live in it. Since the specialized enterprise at which he worked in the city was closed so as not to get bored, and at the same time to help his mother, the man decided on such a grandiose business.
Vladimir began to build a house in 2010, and my mother could move in within a year, although it took several more years to improve the housing. Initially, the man planned to attach only a veranda or build a temporary hut in the courtyard, but when part of the house collapsed, he nevertheless decided to build a full-fledged house. And big enough, as for one old woman. This was facilitated by the length of the standard board, which is 6 m, and so that there are no scraps, because there is no extra money, so the house turned out to be quite large.
Upon learning of such a man's decision, many people, out of the kindness of their hearts, helped as much as they could. At the sawmill, where I bought the board, they made a discount and allowed to store the material as much as Vladimir needed. A neighbor helped to determine the level and install four supports at the corners, because he made the house frame.
Well, for the rest, he relied only on his own strength, Dick's guide dog and his mother, who served tools or small objects that had fallen into the grass. Since the foundation is an expensive pleasure, and you will not go too far in retirement, I had to do it according to the principle of installing piles. He covered the area under the house with expanded clay and installed a double floor with mineral wool for insulation in the middle. Vladimir also installed the wooden frame himself and only then, sheathed it with boards on both sides, and used rolled mineral wool as insulation.
When assembling the house, the blind master used the usual tools for such work: a chainsaw, a jointer, a hammer, a drill, a screwdriver and … a circular saw. For a healthy person whose hands grow from where they are needed and has a head on his shoulders, the use of such a tool does not cause much effort. But when vision problems are a rather difficult task.
Interesting:Vladimir Krysanov received the skills of working with the instrument at the boarding school, when he was attending school. It was the labor teacher who not only taught all the tools to use them correctly, but also explained and told in a very accessible and interesting way. Therefore, the man, despite the fact that he had never seen with his own eyes how to build a house, managed to implement all ideas in life.
As Vladimir himself says, in order to bring in 6-meter boards, he put a tape recorder in the right place and was guided by the sound and his guide dog, who in all situations became a real salvation and the most faithful friend.
Of course, no one drew up the project, he just kept it in his head and, thanks to flair and intuition, moved and did all the work. Considering that he has a congenital vision problem, Vladimir has already managed to fully adapt to life, he can accurately determine things or objects tactilely or by sound. But with color and accuracy - trouble, and in this he really needs the help of other people.
Thanks to the tape recorder and the tips of my mother, not only the walls were made, but also a gable roof, the installation of which I also engaged in independently. To reduce the cost and simplify the process as a roofing material, he decided to use rolled iron 1, 2 m wide, but he could determine the length himself. Having cut the sheet to the required length, he climbed up the ladder to the roof by touch and fixed the sheets with ordinary screws using a screwdriver. And the most interesting thing, so as not to shock the neighbors and not to gather onlookers and advisers under the fence, the man covered the roof at night.
The interior decoration took a lot of time, because the space is limited, which created additional problems with the movement of bulky materials. And one more nuisance that knocked the blind master out of balance - an unscrupulous company lured from Vladimir money for metal-plastic windows, which he ordered for the whole house, and disappeared. After grieving a little and collecting the required amount, he found another "office". But when he told the director his story, he promised to make everything at the expense of the company and just give it to him. According to the editorial office of Novate. Ru, the head kept his word, and now the mother's house with brand new warm windows.
Of course, the construction took a very long time, given that it is very difficult for a blind person to perform this type of work. As the 54-year-old master himself admits: “Here it is, an unedged board, I put it in … The sighted do it with a ruler or something. Drawn out with a pencil and look, lead. But I don’t see this line, you have to do everything slowly. I will fix it from below with a screwdriver so that it grabs. To blindness you do everything very slowly, but there is no other way. Either you do it slowly, or nothing at all. And there is no money to hire builders."
Despite such difficulties, the house was gradually not only built, but also insulated according to all the rules. For interior decoration, Vladimir found some materials in a landfill, bought others, and in order to save money he even installed electrical wiring himself. In this matter, his mother helped him, suggesting what color the wire was, since it was impossible to make a mistake.
After my mother moved to a new safe house, the master also added a veranda. Recently, Vladimir carried out steam heating, because the stove heats up unevenly, it is already cold in the distant rooms. He purchased pipes, some radiators and a forced circulation pump, and quietly installed a heating system.
And in order to facilitate living conditions, he contrived in the room where there is a wood-burning stove (they do not have natural gas), dig up by hand … a well, and now they pump water with a pump. The work was complicated by the fact that the ceiling had already been made, and 4 meters deep had to be dug with the help of a garden drill.
In recent years, it has not been possible to do something faster for a special reason - Vladimir helps … to build a summer camp for the development and recreation of pupils of the public organization "Svoy Put". Not far from the village, they are jointly ennobling the territory of the "Little Country" camp, where for the last 3 years children with special needs have been brought, here they undergo "rural life therapy". They do not just relax in the fresh air, but make a feasible contribution to the improvement of the territory.
So, Vladimir was one of the first to come to the organizers of the settlement with an offer to help, and since then he has not only been building, but has been helping children and adolescents with health problems to adapt and teaching what he himself can do. It is a pleasure for him to study with the children, because he has no family or children of his own.
As Vladimir's achievements have shown, nothing can stop a purposeful person, no matter if there are health restrictions or a person is already in old age.
