The main advertising message for the audience is that the films of "Quartet I" are not just comedies, but in some way philosophical and even instructive stories filled with intelligent and witty humor. Well, let's see what purposes this humor works for.

"Quartet I" is a young and very popular Moscow comic theater, created in 1993 by a group of graduates of the pop faculty of GITIS. These are actors Leonid Barats, Alexander Demidov, Kamil Larin and Rostislav Khait, as well as director Sergei Petreikov. Since 2007, the guys have not only staged performances, but also made films. At the moment, 5 films have already been released, the sixth is next in line. These films will be discussed in our review. The main advertising message for the audience is that the films of "Quartet I" are not just comedies, but in some way philosophical and even instructive stories filled with intelligent and witty humor. Well, let's see what purposes this humor works for.

Firstly, in all comedies, the topic of alcohol is revealed from a brightly positive side: the heroes of each picture are assiduously drinking in the frame and after that they find themselves in funny situations. Due to the fact that the process of drinking alcohol is supported by comic and positive emotions, the viewer develops a positive attitude towards alcoholic products. At the same time, judging by these comedies, absolutely everyone drinks: both men and women, and priests, and businessmen, and there is supposedly nothing wrong with that. By the way, alcohol companies pay a lot of money for the appearance of such scenes in films, which Gennady Onishchenko frankly spoke about a couple of years ago.

Another theme, which runs like a red line in all the pictures of Quartet I, is sexual promiscuity and adultery. According to the plot of five films, there was NOT a SINGLE COUPLE in which the spouses would remain faithful to each other. In addition to pathological infidelity, the films also show a contemptuous attitude towards everything related to the family: towards wives, children, parents. All of this is also supported by philosophical reasoning that justifies vicious behavior. Almost all films are united by the fact that among the main characters there is either a frank homosexual character, or a character with characteristic unconventional inclinations.

Summarize. Films of "Quartet I" are aimed at:

  • alcohol promotion
  • propaganda of promiscuity and vulgarity
  • perversion propaganda
  • destruction of the institution of the family

Someone will say, "what is it, and alcohol, and licentiousness, and homosexuals are in our life, why not show all this and laugh?" But this is a flawed logic based on the false thesis that cinema and television reflect reality. In fact, these tools shape reality by demonstrating individual prepared events and facts, as well as creating, including voiced in this review, behavioral stereotypes among viewers. Any mass dissemination of information is a process of unstructured management of society, which is what all media outlets, without exception, do.
