Bill Gates loves to use his ambitious podium to talk about "miracles" and "magic." Gates used one or both of these words in almost all of his annual summary letters to the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation (2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2014, 2016, and 2017), most often they were used by Gates in justifying his financial and ideological support for the global vaccination. As Gates says, "Just like I talked about the magic of software during my career at Microsoft, now I spend my time talking about the magic of vaccines."

Gates' words give us an immediate clue that he has his own magical thinking, which scientists also call "illogical causal thinking." How else to explain its simplistic approval of vaccines as a miraculous intervention with unlimited benefits and no downside? The Gates Foundation's global spreadsheet does not appear to be able to quantify the massive influx of vaccine injuries affecting children around the world, despite ample evidence of this, making childhood a deadly Russian roulette wheel.

Let's talk about history

In his widely cited 2014 blog on the Vaccine Miracle, Gates expressed his enthusiasm for “inspiring” vaccine data and “fantastic” and “phenomenal” progress in expanding vaccine coverage. One major problem with Gates' admission of "data" is that the philanthropist ignores the fundamental historical facts governing infectious diseases and the timing of vaccinations.

Vital statistics show that in the United States and elsewhere, deaths from diseases such as scarlet fever - in the absence of any vaccine - had become fairly rare by the mid-20th century. Mortality from infectious diseases such as measles and pertussis also declined rapidly, well before the introduction of the respective vaccines (see Fig. 1). Complete review of US mortality data for 1900-1973. concluded:

"Medical measures [such as vaccines] have had little effect on the overall decline in mortality in the United States since 1900, which in many cases was introduced several decades after a significant decline had already occurred."

The same researchers, in another article, chastised a medical facility for misplaced reliance on "magic bullets" (again, the word "magic"!). Instead, if the decline in morbidity and mortality from infectious diseases in the last century was a miracle, the phenomenon was, frankly, associated with classic and long-term public health measures such as improved sanitation and better nutrition. A study of 20th century mortality trends in Italy found a significant association between increased calorie intake and decreased mortality, reflecting "advances in dietary habits, quality of life, socioeconomic standards and hygiene conditions." Moreover, mortality fell sharply in Italy's youngest age groups, which "were probably the most sensitive to changes in nutrition and well-being." Even in the early 20th century, epidemiologists who were inclined to give vaccines their due acknowledged that other factors were at play, including changes in “human resistance and bacterial quality,” as well as factors that remain to be determined.

Lo and behold, where are you?

Even if one throws aside the 20th century life cycle statistics, there is clear evidence that betrays the lie of Bill Gates' insincere claims about the miracles of vaccines: vaccines do not actually make children healthy, or even help them to do so. Instead, in the United States (where children are most vaccinated in the world), more than half of all young people suffer from chronic illness - a trend that coincides with an extension of the national vaccination schedule. Similar patterns of chronic disease are emerging around the world, including for potentially life-threatening conditions such as food allergies and asthma.

The World Mercury Project's Worldwide Children's Health Recovery Campaign is documenting first-hand data from parents about the serious adverse effects their children experience after vaccination. This evidence, which represents the tip of the iceberg, encompasses a range of disorders that were rare or even unheard of decades ago:

  • Thirteen percent of American children have a special education.
  • One in six American children has a developmental disorder such as autism (ASD).
  • Attention deficit / hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) affects about 11% of American children.
  • One in 20 children under the age of five has epilepsy.
  • Peanut allergy is the most common cause of food-related death.
  • Women who get flu and Tdap shots during pregnancy are at greater risk of miscarriages and other problems.
  • Pediatric autoimmune neuropsychiatric disorders associated with streptococcal or other infections (PANDAS or PANS) affect 1 in 200 children in the United States, including up to 25% of those diagnosed with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD) and tic disorders.
  • Sensory processing disorder (SPD) often occurs in conjunction with ADHD and ASD.
  • In the United States, the infant mortality rate, including from sudden infant death syndrome (SIDS), is double that of many other high-income countries. In Africa, a comparative study in Guinea-Bissau found that infant mortality was at least twice (10-11%) in children who received diphtheria-tetanus-pertussis (DTP) and polio vaccines than in children who did not receive vaccines (4-5%).

Cui bono?

A recent German report on global philanthropy notes that modern philanthropy has its roots primarily in the drive of business tycoons to protect income from taxation, "to gain prestige and influence in the United States and world affairs." The authors of the report note that large foundations such as the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation exert influence not only through their "immense resources", but also "through the formation of development concepts and policies."

The Gates Foundation, established in 2000 with an initial supply of $ 42.9 billion and augmented by an additional $ 30 billion from Warren Buffett in 2006, has become a leading global player in global health as well as the world's largest non-governmental sponsor. health organizations (WHO). As a result of the "huge influence on the agenda" by the Gates Foundation, global health has designated 2010-2020 as the Decade of Vaccines; developed the Global Vaccination Action Plan; and created the public-private Global Alliance for Vaccines and Immunization (GAVI Alliance), which receives nearly a quarter of its funding from the Gates Foundation.

While Gates sang that vaccines are fantastic investments, the vaccine industry is, in fact, the main beneficiary of the Gates Foundation's bounty. According to German analysts, for example, the Gates Foundation's support for the GAVI Alliance has spurred manufacturers to increase the production of specific vaccines. These incentives have resulted in over $ 1 billion in disbursements to Pfizer and GlaxoSmithKline (GSK). Some journalists have described this mechanism as "the vanguard for pharmaceutical companies" looking to expand their activities in countries with faster rates and lower incomes. "However, as noted in the German report, the nongovernmental organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) questioned the GAVI Alliance's desire to reduce the cost of vaccines, stating that “the cost of fully immunizing a child in 2014 was 68 times more expensive than in 2001.”

German analysts and others highlighted key features of the Gates Foundation's close partnership with the pharmaceutical industry, including the revolving door between Foundation staff and pharmaceutical companies such as Merck and GSK; focuses on the largest global health awards (20/50 or 40%) for research and development of new vaccines and drugs; established a $ 52 million fund at CureVac (a German pharmaceutical company) to accelerate the development of mRNA vaccines. The Gates Foundation has also increased its direct support to the biotech industry, which is important to the vaccine industry due to the rapidly increasing use of biotechnology in modern vaccine manufacturing. Later articles also noted that the Gates Foundation regularly pays public relations firms to manipulate scientific decisions in favor of the Foundation's risky genetic engineering technologies.

What these findings make clear is that Bill Gates' vaccination charity is indeed a "miracle", but the beneficiaries of the miracle are corporations and shareholders who make fun of us all the time and only they benefit from it, not children. and adults around the world who are suffering from unsafe vaccines. Dr Arata Kochi, former director of malaria research at the WHO, decided to call a spade a spade in 2008 when he described the Gates Foundation as a cartel that suppresses scientific diversity and is "accountable to no one but itself."
