The Foreign Affairs Committee of the US House of Representatives recently held hearings on a topic that was politically correct as "Countering a Resurgent Russia." But the essence of the performances boiled down to what to do to destroy and destroy us, but at the same time to avoid our own destruction.

The congressmen were addressed by the former representative of the State Department and Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Victoria Nuland, who held a similar post, Daniel Fried, who also coordinated the sanctions policy of the State Department, and Jack Keane, the former chief of staff of the American armed forces.

The proposals were standard: continue to arm to the teeth, push bases to our borders, and expand sanctions.

But something new was also said: it turns out that it is necessary to “talk” with the Russians, “who are very tired of the fact that their authorities are dealing with Ukraine, Syria and new weapons to the detriment of schools, hospitals and workplaces in Russia itself, as well as corruption corrupting the country”. And "talking to Russia" in American political newspeak means that it is necessary to intensify anti-Russian and Russophobic propaganda and place a stake on the "fifth column" inside our country.

However, this is exactly how the mighty Soviet Union collapsed. Threats of nuclear bombing, tanks and missiles failed to do this, although it was planned. Frightened by the possibility of a crushing response: the USSR was able to achieve nuclear parity with the United States. That is why they destroyed the Union in a completely different way - propaganda of the "American way of life", jeans, chewing gum, rock and roll forbidden in the USSR, which attracted young people, readings on Radio Liberty. Do you remember the innumerable crowds at the first McDonald's in Moscow, as if in mockery of the monument to the great Russian poet located opposite? And it turned out that this weapon is much more powerful and effective than tanks and missiles.

And so the USSR collapsed, but not so much time has passed since our country began to revive. The West realized it, but it turned out that it was too late: the power of the resurrected Russia is now such that it is no longer possible to cope with it with the help of weapons. What to do? "Samizdat" or radio voices will not help today. There is no censorship in Russia for a long time, they print anything, you can listen to and watch any country through the Internet, and Coca-Cola and jeans have long been sold on every corner. But another powerful tool for influencing the minds and achieving the necessary political goals has appeared in the world - show business.

This weapon has already shown itself in the United States, where the extravagant Donald Trump came to power, and in Ukraine, where the shocking comedian Vladimir Zelensky became president. Trump, of course, did not dance on stage himself, but he had a rich experience as a show business producer, personal participation in talk shows, and, brilliantly applying these skills during the election campaign, won. And Zelensky found it even easier - he is a professional showman. It was their victories that became evidence of the transformation of show business into a powerful political weapon.

“The 'orange revolutions' with their sacred sacrifices are being replaced by show business with its idols, who use the accumulated social irritation in society, hostility towards authoritarian leaders who have set their teeth on edge, dull politicians who rely on electoral technologies, falsification and control over the electoral process” - writes in the newspaper "Zavtra" its editor-in-chief, the famous writer Alexander Prokhanov in the article "Andrey Malakhov or Georgy Zhukov?"

“All this,” he continues, “breaks down by show business - this dazzling, song, musical, dance game, laughter culture, sophisticated or crude eroticism that take over the minds of the layman, as well as the protesting, irritated intellectual, and leads them to the trash cans. the direction the show business producers point to."

“Zelensky’s victory in Ukraine is a triumph of show business in its new, brilliantly proven quality. Show business is a political weapon,”continues the writer, who points out that similar processes that threaten the country's future are beginning to mature in Russia as well.

And Prokhanov shows how this is already happening here. “In the days when Zelensky was victoriously coming to power in Ukraine, plugging the helpless, furious Poroshenko into his belt,” he writes, “in those days, two powerful campaigns took place in Russia, which seemed to have arranged this Ukrainian victory. For a whole week, Russia celebrated the seventieth birthday of Alla Pugacheva on all channels. Her two permanent assistants - Galkin and Kirkorov - took Pugacheva from screen to screen, from one TV show to another, which told about the prima donna's lovers, about her tender feelings for many eminent people, about her outer and lower clothes, about her hairstyles, stylists, about surrogacy, about her eggs, about the ability of a sperm to penetrate into the most ancient crypts of once fertile ruins. And the Russian people constantly watched the programs, swallowed, choked with this multicolored, sugary-sweet, poisonously intoxicating drink."

The writer also noted that after Pugacheva, Anastasia Volochkova and Ksenia Sobchak arranged their female duels on television. “They showed the audience their bedrooms, beds, their tights, took off these tights and showed the stunned Russian audience their buttocks, dived, declared their love, talked about poetry, about high style in dance and architecture. And again - about lovers, about roommates."

“Russian show business,” concludes Prokhanov, “has already entered the political arena. Ksenia Sobchak with her bare legs, cheerful cynicism, dazzling immorality has already run for president of Russia. She was invited to participate in presidential competitions, wanting to decorate and revive the dull competition in which faded and expressionless politicians operate with a set of their party statements, which makes flowers in pots wither.

She, Ksenia Sobchak, again goes to the elections in St. Petersburg, where, apparently, much greater success awaits her, because Russian society, and St. Petersburg in particular, languishes from the dullness and diversity, from the hypocrisy of politicians and the hopelessness of everyday life. And Ksenia Sobchak will burst into this routine like a comet, sitting on a fiery broomstick

And the public, which for twenty years has been corrupted by this delightful witch in her show "Dom-2", in this fur farm where people turn into cattle, in her glamorous trips to the counters and pages of glossy magazines, this audience will give Sobchak their votes,”stressed editor-in-chief of the newspaper "Zavtra".

“Show business,” warns Prokhanov, “is a weapon against which there is no defense. Digital reality, which is still not comprehended and gives rise to euphoria in some, and apocalyptic horror in others, this digital reality merges with show business, forming an even more powerful mysterious substrate in which futurology and politics of the XXI century lie."

“Social engineers in the presidential administration, constructing one or the other election campaigns and attracting prominent representatives of show business to these campaigns, are playing with fire. If Nevzorov unites with Ksenia Sobchak, and Shnur unites with Kirkorov, what can the official side oppose them - Beglov's shovel? Show business is coming, sweeping away libraries, churches, monuments to great warriors. A great battle is going on, a merciless battle. Countless hosts of show business are fighting - all these singers, humorists, cursing jokes, brilliant clowns, smart gays - and the "Immortal Regiment" with portraits of the killed heroes of the last great war. Who will win in Russia: show business or "Immortal regiment"? Malakhov or Marshal Zhukov? " - Alexander Prokhanov asks anxiously.

Prokhanov, as always, vividly and figuratively outlined the new terrible threat facing Russia. But having designated it, he did not say the main thing. And why did all these pop stars, obscene shows, all these Ksyusha and vulgar hokhmachi flood our stage and television? Why are the best halls given to vulgar pop music, and why does the demoniac Nevzorov vilify Orthodoxy from all cracks? Why does the depraved "Dom-2" not leave the TV screens? Why on theatrical stages do the actors jump, in what their mother gave birth, and openly promote sexual perversion? Why in many cities of Russia on May Day, the authorities, flirting with young people, allowed the conduct of obscene "monsters", that is, open mockery of the state and cynical ridicule of everyone and everything?

But there are even more troubling questions. Why are the most primitive examples of show business in our country carefully supported and deliberately turned into a standard by the authorities themselves?

For example, Sergei Shnurov's Leningrad group, which performed in basements, was previously prohibited from performing in Moscow. But as soon as from primitive swearing and thugs her repertoire began to acquire a destructive-political character, she immediately began to rapidly "advance"

In 2016, Leningrad became the winner-record holder of the Russian National Music Award in the Kremlin Palace: rock group of the year, song of the year, best video of the year. Moreover, Shnurov was recently introduced to the Public Council of the State Duma Committee on Culture! For what merits? For the song "In St. Petersburg - Drink!", Which is an obsessive propaganda of drugs and alcohol?

And not so long ago, another St. Petersburg art group, Voina, received the same attention from the authorities. For the phallus she painted on one of the bridges of the northern capital, she was awarded the prize of the Ministry of Culture!

Is Moscow aware of the growing and dire threat? It seemed to be conscious. In the "Strategy for the National Security of the Russian Federation until 2020" it is written: "The main threats (to national security in the sphere of culture) were the dominance of mass culture products focused on the spiritual needs of marginalized strata …".

In December 2016, President Vladimir Putin signed the RF Information Security Doctrine. In the section "Main information threats" it says: "The information impact on the population of Russia, primarily on young people, is increasing in order to erode traditional Russian spiritual and moral values." The doctrine states that it is necessary to fight against this, that it is necessary to "neutralize the informational impact aimed at eroding traditional Russian spiritual and moral values." But why does almost nothing change?

But because the power in the field of culture in Russia is in the hands of the liberals. The political power seized by the liberals in 1991 was taken away from them, and the country followed Putin. The liberal opposition failed miserably in the elections to the State Duma, we have created a powerful army, and the economy is strengthening. However, in the sphere of culture, everything actually remained the same.

"Children of the 90s" grew up, got a belly, but they still reign supreme on television and on the stage, and in museums, and in theaters, and in the book industry, and even in government institutions that oversee culture. That is why the fifth Russophobic column continues to freely wield and corrupt in Russia the minds and immature youth there

Even the patriotic minister of culture himself can not change anything - he is not a warrior alone in the field. These "Augean stables" of our culture, which are still saturated with the stinking stench of the 90s, need to be radically cleaned up, just replacing the "groom" does not help.

But the dominance of liberals in culture can eventually turn into the most sad consequences for our country. It is no coincidence that this is precisely what - the decomposition of society with the help of show business - is now being relied on in Washington. And the elections in Ukraine, where the nimble American ward, the showman Zelensky, became president, showed that this new tactic worked in the most brilliant way. Isn't this a lesson for us too?
