LYING:the production and sale of alcohol is beneficial for the state. Opponents of sobering up our people for a century, since the beginning of the vodka trade, presented the case in such a way that, they say, the wine industry is very beneficial for the state.

Undoubtedly, without vodka, at first, the tax revenues of the treasury slightly decreased, but the real national income would have increased even more.

From the point of view of sober business accounting, the expansion of the vodka trade only multiplies the damage it causes to the national economy. By itself, this product, as undoubtedly harmful to people and leading to economic losses, because it * disorganizes labor, should be considered as a negative value in the national economic turnover, and the funds of the population spent on harmful drink are a deduction from the normal consumption of the working people, which actually lowers the welfare of the entire country."

The production and consumption of alcoholic products for the people and the state causes enormous damage, primarily in its consequences.

In modern society in those countries where alcohol consumption has become widespread, the losses of the state from drunkenness and alcoholism take monstrous proportions, as is the case in our country.

In 1983, vintners sold $ 46 billion worth of alcoholic beverages in the United States, and the government suffered losses of $ 120 billion. Society voluntarily goes to a paradoxical thing: in order to stun itself with a drug and temporarily be captivated by illusions, the population spends huge amounts of money.

A country that is unable to cope with alcohol addiction is ruined both financially and morally. The people, on the other hand, are heading towards degradation.

LYING:if we stop selling alcoholic beverages, there will be nothing to pay workers and employees wages.

It is difficult to find a more devastating characterization of the state's economy than this opinion of the laymen. We believe that this is a deep misconception.

TRUTH:the calculations of academician S. G. Strumilin, engineer I. A. Krasnonosov and others show that alcoholic beverages bring general economic losses to the national economy of about 100-120 billion rubles a year. However, later calculations and refinements indicate that this figure is greatly underestimated. According to the calculations of the economist B. I. Iskakov, each ruble received for alcohol bears 4-5 rubles of loss.

In addition to absenteeism, the country loses as a result of declining productivity. According to the calculations of Academician S. G. Strumilin, the complete sobering up of labor in industry will increase productivity by 10%. In total, this will amount to 50-70 billion rubles.

Treatment of alcoholics and the sick due to alcohol, according to the WHO, in a number of countries takes up to 40% of all spending on health care. If we apply this calculation to our budget, then it also costs us at least 4-5 billion rubles a year.

For this, we have paid with the lives of 5 million people, breaking them in abortion, drunken fights, diseases, and other labyrinths of alcoholization of society. TRUTH: in a social sense, the most dangerous and far-reaching consequence of drinking is that it relaxes and frustrates the habit of work and the normal need to work is disturbed very early. After drinking alcohol, sleep does not restore normal vigor and does not give a feeling of rest.

Contrary to the normal order of things, when after a day of rest there is a need for work, people who consume alcohol on a holiday notice a reluctance to work, invincible laziness, bad mood, headache, a feeling of hangover, which leads them to after-weekend drunkenness or absenteeism. Due to the use of wine, a festive day - a day of rest and elation, loses its moral and physiological significance. Labor and rest are ruined by the use of wine in the most rude way. Wine is the enemy of relaxation and excludes its very possibility.

The main feature of drugs, which include alcohol, is that they are able to dull unpleasant sensations and especially the feeling of fatigue, however, creating illusions and self-deception for a short time, alcohol not only does not eliminate either one or the other, but, on the contrary, enhances them, which complicates and burdens the life of a working person.

With repeated drinking alcohol, these complications are aggravated, and the person is no longer able to cope with them. He goes down. The reluctance to work increases. That is why absenteeism sharply increases among drinkers and the intensity and quality of work decreases. This applies to all links and ranks of workers and employees. But especially great damage is caused by the use of wine to executives and intellectuals.

With the weakening and loss of the higher functions of the cerebral cortex, creative people lose 'not only desire, but also the ability to create something new, complex, requiring willpower that has weakened, attention that is easily dissipated, new thoughts that cannot appear in a brain that has not yet been freed from alcohol vapors.

For a managerial employee, when he is hungover, it is much easier to say "no" and thereby free yourself from the need to think about something, to find out something, to call someone, to make a decision. And he said "no" - and no worries or worries for you. As for remorse and moral feelings, then, as noted earlier, these feelings in the drinker atrophy very early.

What the best minds of mankind have dreamed about - the sober life of the entire people, in our conditions of complete literacy of the population - is quite possible and feasible.

The "dry" law introduced in 1914 brought complete sobering up to our people, which after the October Revolution continued until 1925. In the year of the abolition of the "dry" law, the per capita consumption of alcohol in our country was 0, 83 liters, while in Germany - 2, 74, England - 6, 17, Italy - 13, 77, France - 17, 99.

Despite the abolition of the "dry" law, thanks to extensive explanatory work and the mass temperance movement in 1928, when the intelligentsia spoke the truth about alcohol and called for a sober lifestyle, when every drinker was considered a pest of production and an enemy of socialism, drunkenness again sharply declined, and alcohol consumption for thirty years was 2-3 times lower than in 1913, that is, before the introduction of the "dry" law.

In 1928, the All-Union Society for Combating Alcoholism was created. The organizing committee included N. A. Semashko, V. A. Obukh, A. N. Bach, S. M. Budyonny, N. I. Podvoisky, D. Bedny, Vs. Ivanov and others.

Thanks to the sound attitude of the intelligentsia and most of the party and Soviet workers, the spread of drunkenness was very slow. Suffice it to say that in 1928-1932. per capita consumption in our country was 1.04 liters. Later it rose in 1935-1937. to 2, 8 liters, in 1940 it decreased to 1, 9 liters, and then, during and in the first years after the war, decreased again. After the fiftieth year, a noticeable increase in the production and consumption of alcoholic beverages began throughout the world.

Based on data from sample studies in 15 economically developed countries, it was found that the annual level of chronic alcoholism increased from 0.3 in 1900-1929. and 3, 3 in 1930-1940. up to 12, 3 in 1955-1975, that is, in 75 years it grew 40 times. If at the end of the XIX - beginning of the XX century there was one woman alcoholic for every 10 alcoholic patients, then later this ratio became 6: 1, and now it is 3, 6: 1.

The use of alcoholic products among young people has been especially widespread in recent years. According to the WHO, in France, alcoholics make up 10-12% of the total population. Thus, alcohol consumption and its consequences are not a problem of individual individuals, but of society as a whole, and the severity increases as the production of alcoholic beverages increases.

Low prices for alcohol are a major factor contributing to the rise in alcohol consumption.

So, for example, in most countries of the world a bottle of cognac cost 2-3 times more than, say, men's shoes. We could buy 3-5 bottles of vodka for the cost of men's shoes. Everywhere alcohol is considered a delicacy, to buy it, you have to spend a lot of money. At this time, since the beginning of the 90s, the cost of wine has become generally negligible in comparison with food. Especially cheaply sold is the American raw alcohol "Royal", which is highly poisonous. It has poisoned more than one thousand people, and, despite the protests of doctors and publications in newspapers, it is imported into the country without duties and is sold in stalls day and night.

Nowadays, even in comparison with our previous prices, alcoholic products are sold very cheaply when compared with the cost of food.

Before the reform, a bottle of vodka cost 6 rubles. 80 kopecks. This amount could buy almost 3 kg of butter.

Now in 1994 a bottle of vodka costs less than 1 kg of meat.

LYING: do not die of wine. They have been drinking in Russia for a thousand years, and it is still expanding. The people are not dying out, but their number is growing.

TRUTH: In Russia, per capita consumption in all centuries has been the lowest of all industrialized countries. Consumption has fluctuated in waves, but it has always remained at the lowest level in the world. But in our country, due to the fact that stronger drinks were consumed, drunks on the street could be found more than, say, in France or Italy, where per capita consumption was much higher. But since natural wines of low strength were used there, drunks on the streets were less common and alcoholic deaths were less than in our country. But, starting from the fifties, per capita consumption, as if on command from abroad, began to grow catastrophically and already in the sixties reached one of the first places in the world. This coincided with the period when American President Kennedy said: - To take the Russians by war

it is forbidden. They need to be laid out from the inside. And for this you need to use three factors: vodka, tobacco and debauchery.

To fulfill this idea, the CIA's multibillion-dollar budget was reoriented mainly to Russia.

TRUTH, If the alcoholic mafia does not hesitate to lie when it comes to alcohol and tobacco, then in matters of dry law, it has surpassed itself. There is no such shameless lie and discrimination that all the enemies of sobriety would not spread about the Prohibition of 1914-1928. or the Government Decree of 1985 "On overcoming drunkenness and alcoholism". And all this because the "dry law" had such a great healing effect that the entire mafia was scared. At first, she strictly hushed up this question, and when it became impossible to hush up, she began to throw mud at him, applying her favorite method of shameless lies.

Here is the historical truth: in 1914, already on the eve and even at the beginning of the war, under pressure from public patriotic forces, a tsarist decree was issued banning the production and sale of all types of alcoholic beverages throughout Russia.

There is a strictly objective scientific literature about what a beneficial effect this law had on all aspects of the life of the people and the state of Russia. Therefore, those who write that he "did not bring anything good" are simply blatantly lying. In fact, the country immediately revived: the crime rate dropped sharply, the number of drunkards and the mentally ill fell sharply.

In production, a year later, labor productivity increased by 9-13 percent. Absenteeism decreased by 30-40%. Large sums of money poured into the savings banks, which allowed the Treasury Department to raise the issue of big financial reforms.

The main thing is the attitude of the people to this law. The mafia warned that alcoholic riots would begin and liquor stores would be destroyed. In fact, the people perceived this decree as a great national holiday. And when polling the population, 84% were in favor of leaving the dry law not for the duration of the war, as it was written in the Decree, but for eternal times.

The State Duma deputies from the peasants turned to the tsar with a special request. They wrote: "The tale of sobriety - this threshold of earthly paradise has become true in Russia. Crime has decreased, hooliganism has subsided, begging has decreased, prisons have been emptied, hospitals have been emptied, peace has come in families, labor productivity has increased, and prosperity has appeared. and war), the village has retained both economic stability and cheerful mood. Let it be a shame to all those who said that sobriety among the people is unthinkable, that it is not achieved by prohibition. The English public figure Lloyd George said about our dry law: "This is the most magnificent act of national heroism that I only know."

During 1914-25. per capita consumption in the country approached zero, amounting to 0.1-0.2 liters. This law has had a great educational and most beneficial effect on the mind and morality of people. Despite its abolition, per capita consumption in the country ranged from 0.83 to 2.0 liters, and only in the fifties began a catastrophic growth in per capita alcohol consumption, coming out in the eighties in first place in the world.

TRUTH: per capita consumption decreased in different regions from 2 to 5 times. For the first time in many years, they stopped drinking at work and the wives saw sober husbands at home. Not according to rumors spread by the alcoholic mafia, but according to statistical data, moonshine began to be driven less, poisoning by surrogates became less.

Indeed, the budget received 39 billion less funds over the five-year period. And if we consider that each ruble received for alcohol bears 4-5 rubles in losses, this means that we have saved 150 billion in the country. Among the values that we have received from under-drunk alcohol, we have made an invaluable profit.

For 1986-87, that is, a relatively more sober time, 5.5 million newborns were born per year, 500 thousand more per year than in the previous 20-30 years. They died annually by 200-300 thousand less. The life expectancy of men increased by 2, 6 years. Absenteeism decreased by 30-40%. Labor productivity has increased. The savings banks received 46 billion more money than usual, and the income increased by many billions from the sale of non-alcoholic and other products and goods.

This is the truth. As for the fact that they began to consume more sugar because of moonshine, then according to statistics, there was no increase in sugar in these years.

As for the queues, they were created by the trade mafia on purpose. Having reduced the sale of vodka by 20-30%, the number of shops selling vodka was reduced by 10 times, which caused these queues, which were specially filmed and shown on TV.

The effect of this decree turned out to be so beneficial for the people that the alcoholic and the entire trading mafia became worried. The venal scribblers and the media began yelling that the people were almost ready to rebel, demanding an increase in the sale of vodka. Meanwhile, for the first time in many decades, the entire people felt the breath of a fresh sober wind. And if not for the machinations of this mafia, we would have established a quickly healthy sober life.

As for the fact that "they began to cut down vineyards," this is also another provocation. The decree stated that in the period when overripe vines are replaced by young growth, more sweet varieties must be planted for the consumption of fresh grapes.

Mafia, filming one process - the destruction of the old planting, did not show the second - the planting of a young vine and shouted to the whole world that there was a deliberate destruction of vineyards. That is, it was another trick of the alcoholic mafia.

A particularly rapid growth in alcohol consumption in the country has been outlined over the past 20 years, which has led to the most unfavorable consequences.

The loss of life is very serious. If the birth rate of 1960 had remained in our country, we would have had an additional 30-35 million people in 20 years. 1960 to 1980 mortality in our country has increased from 7, 1 to 10, 4 per thousand, i.e. by 47%. And this is provided that over the years we have graduated additionally hundreds of thousands of doctors, built thousands of hospitals and other medical institutions. More than a million doctors work in our country, that is, a third of all doctors and 1/5 of all scientists in the world.

According to the WHO, every third dying person in the world is a victim of alcohol, and every fifth dying person in developed countries is a victim of smoking. This means that every year we lose almost 900 thousand people due to alcohol and over 500 thousand due to tobacco. In just the last 20 years, because of these poisonous products, so widely released into our distribution network, we have lost at least 15-18 million people!

1960 to 1980 mortality in our country has increased significantly more than in other countries, which corresponds to a more rapid growth in per capita alcohol consumption. 1950 to 1970 mortality decreased in Japan - from 10, 6 to 6, 0, in China - from 17, 6 to 6, 2. In 1960, mortality in our country was one of the lowest, and per capita alcohol consumption was almost the lowest in the world … Now it is among the highest. And we do not know any other reasons explaining this disadvantage, apart from the unrestrained growth of alcohol consumption and smoking.

The direct human losses, estimated at 45-50 million people, must also include a whole army of "living corpses" in the person of drinkers.

Alcohol consumption affects the offspring and leads to the degradation of the nation, to the degradation of the race. The latest research has shown that the harmful effects of alcohol consumption by fathers are reflected more on daughters than on sons. Thus, the evils of male alcoholism are more reflected in the descending generations on women than on men. That is why women need to know that alcoholism threatens them in the first place, and through them, their future family and society; it is harder to bear by her and gives more tragic consequences. And if 40 years ago female alcoholism in relation to male alcoholism was hundredths of a percent, now it reaches male alcoholism in some countries, that is, it has increased many times.

It is difficult to admit that literate people do not know the whole truth about wine. Alcohol upsets the health of millions of people, increases mortality in a number of diseases, is the cause of many physical and mental illnesses, disorganizes production, destroys the family, dramatically increases crime and significantly undermines the moral foundations of any society, people and state. However, the biggest evil is that it leads to the progressive degradation of the nation and humanity as a whole, due to the emergence of a high percentage of mentally disabled children.

LYING: when I want, then I will stop drinking. This is what all drunkards and alcoholics used to say when they started drinking. They repeat it now.

TRUTH: these people cannot "want". And millions of those who, starting to drink, repeated these words, sliding down the slippery slope to compulsory treatment and a psychiatric hospital.

Taking the first glass in hand, everyone should understand where the path he is taking leads. This is the path of crimes and hard trials, the path of destruction of the family and society, the path of the death of humanity. Not everyone will come to a crime, but every drinker contributes to this, willingly or unwillingly, and is a candidate for alcoholics!

First of all, the drinker himself suffers. He steals his normal life. Of course, it seems to him that in a day there was no trace of hops left. However, research shows that the highest parts of the human brain, those in which thinking ability, memory and association are laid, find themselves in a state of paralysis many days after a "moderate" dose of alcohol, especially repeatedly taken.

Being constantly under light "anesthesia", he does not see and cannot feel complete happiness either from his family or from children, who often grow up nervous or mentally handicapped. A drinker gets sick many times more often than a non-drinker, and his illness is much more severe than that of a teetotaler.

In essence, all drinkers are voluntary suicides who pay for illnesses and early old age for the illusory pleasure of being under intoxicated fumes. It is impossible to compare two people of the same age, especially after 50-60 years, if one of them drinks and the other does not.

The drinker early shows signs of premature decrepitude, deterioration of the body, as if he had suffered from a debilitating disease for a long time. The look in his dull eyes expresses fatigue and indifference, the skin is dry and wrinkled. This is due to deep and early changes in the substance of the brain itself, and in addition, early hypofunction and even atrophy of many endocrine glands. In drinking people, changes in the genital area occur quite early, including a loss of libido, a decrease in production, and even atrophy of the testes.

But the most important thing is that the person who drinks is drastically impoverished in his mental life, more and more departing from high human ideals. Higher associative centers, which are more sensitive to harmful agents such as alcohol, are suppressed earlier. Self-control weakens, lower instincts take over. Therefore, drunkards and alcoholics are people often with rude, base inclinations, with low labor discipline. Gradually, they sink even lower, society completely loses social control over them.

Drinking alcohol brings incalculable disasters to society. It destroys the family. From 60 to 88% of divorces are caused by drunkenness of one or both spouses. This means that millions of children become half-orphans, or even full-time orphans, despite the fact that both parents are alive. Due to the fault of drunkenness of men, millions of women of productive age remain single and childless, which in itself causes enormous damage to society. Children without parents easily take the path of breaking the law, start drinking early and join the army of criminals and alcoholics, which has a harmful effect on the normal state of society.

Violations of the law and crimes are also most often committed under the influence of alcohol. Nine-tenths of the crimes that stain humanity were committed through the fault of alcohol, wrote Leo Tolstoy.

No less difficult for our country is the sharp drop in population growth due to alcohol consumption.

With the massive consumption of alcohol, the growth of mentally disabled people of various degrees, ranging from a bad or "explosive" character to complete idiots, is inevitable.
