The program from the series "Honest Monday" (NTV channel) was devoted to the topic that had already set the teeth on edge - the right of citizens to keep and carry personal firearms. For a long time already competent specialists have proved that this right is inalienable for every civilized and self-respecting person.

The well-known lawyer Mikhail Barshchevsky, again recalled that even in ancient Rome, patricians were allowed to carry weapons, in contrast to the plebeians, who did not have such a right.

Accordingly, already in the USSR the right to a personal "trunk" was given to party functionaries. Ordinary citizens of the Land of the Soviets were also deprived of such a right.

Mr. Barshchevsky mentioned that after the introduction of a permit to store smooth-bore hunting weapons at home, the robberies of private houses actually came to naught, since today the robbers are seriously afraid of running into a bullet from the owners.

The most convincing argument turned out to be a reminder that after the citizens of the former Soviet republics - Moldova, Armenia and Estonia - got the right to carry a pistol, ordinary criminality also decreased several times there. From now on, you can walk safely along the night streets of the capitals of these countries.

To a caustic question about the possible responsibility for the use of "firearms" Mikhail Barshchevsky just as witty replied that "it is better to be judged by twelve people than carried to the cemetery by six."

Arguments by opponents of carrying weapons have traditionally been deceitful, if not deceitful. Deputy Aleksandr Khinshtein, by the way, admitted that he had a pistol, repeated the ridiculous story about the fact that we issue certificates for carrying weapons easily and without special checks, as a result of which "every neurotic" can become the owner of a pistol.

The deputy named the famous speech of President Medvedev. He was even surprised that, it turns out, someone could question the truth of the words of the head of state. Alexander Khinshtein is unaware that the president, like any living person, tends to make mistakes. Or openly lie in order to mislead your subjects and instill in them a false thought.

This is also quite possible. Only the stubborn functionaries of United Russia can consider such an admission an encroachment on the foundations of the state.

The most startling argument came from the famous psychiatrist Zurab Kekelidze, deputy director of the infamous Serbian Center. He said that in no case can we be compared either with the Americans, or with the Moldovans, or with the Armenians. Because we are different, special.

It was very interesting to hear it from the lips of a psychiatrist. Since this phrase apparently implied that Russians, in principle, are not capable of sane actions and law-abiding behavior, therefore, the laws of the "normal" world are not written for them. These "insane" overthrew fascism with weapons in their hands, if anything..

The topic of "peculiarities" (ie abnormalities) of the Russian nation and in other programs of federal channels. "A matter of principle" (TV Center channel) the once well-known "democrat" and "human rights activist" Alexander Muzykantsky said that in Russia "only reforms that do not go beyond the Russian mentality can count on success, since Russians have never had a clue "market".

An extremely dubious thesis, to say the least! With this phrase alone, Mr. Muzykantsky crossed out the centuries-old history of the Russian economy and industry. It turns out that the famous Russian merchants, who were greatly respected in the West for their honesty and ability to keep their word, did business regardless of the laws of the market? In the same way, how did our famous industrialists and patrons of art - the Bakhrushins, Mamontovs, Morozovs, Ryabushinskys - disregard the generally accepted rules of doing business?

That is, again, it turns out that the Russians have "their own special path"?

What is available for self-defense to the Slavs

Thus, we safely returned to the starting point. From the standpoint of our rulers, we are different. We are not Moldovans, not Armenians, not Estonians. Moreover, we are not Germans, not French, not British, not Americans. We are much worse.

Apparently, we must assume that we are greedier and more selfish, we are more cruel, unbalanced, wild and unpredictable. We do not know what the market is, and we are not responsible for our actions. We do not respect the laws and rights of other people. We are naive and irresponsible like children. We cannot be trusted not only with a pistol, but also with a table fork.

This is not the delusion of a madman.

This is the diagnosis of a psychiatrist, who allegorically recognized the Russians as a nation, one and all, worthy of a psychiatric hospital.

But now we know what "they" think of "us."

Rescue of drowning people..

For legalization:

Maxim Kalashnikov, Andrey Cruz, Alexander Nikonov, Mikhail Weller, Alexey Navalny, Mikhail Delyagin, Andrey Savelyev …

Sigmund Freud: "Fear of weapons is a sign of incomplete mental and emotional development."

Opponents:

Adolf Hitler: "It would be a stupid mistake to let the conquered people in the East own weapons."

Heinrich Himmler: "Ordinary citizens do not need a weapon, since the possession of them does not serve the purposes of the state."

Domestic "classics":

Vladimir Putin: “Negatively, categorically against. … We don't have such a tradition. I am deeply convinced that the free movement of firearms will do great harm and pose a great danger to us. … this is not for us … ;

Boris Gryzlov: "Even the very raising of the question of free arms sales in Russia is premature";

Ramzan Kadyrov: “I am opposed to the massive sale of weapons to the population. What's the difference, what is the name of the pistol - traumatic or combat, if it can kill a person."

Pavel Krasheninnikov: “We can imagine what the situation with domestic crimes would be like if citizens had weapons in their hands. The number of murders and grievous bodily harm would increase dramatically. … My position, like many colleagues, is categorically against”;

Vladimir Vasiliev: "The population should not be allowed to carry weapons …".

The position of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation as a whole was stated by the press secretary of the Department for the Protection of Public Order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs Yulia Ivanova: “On this issue, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has an unambiguous and tough position - we do not support such an initiative. In our country, there is no culture of handling weapons by citizens - of course, ordinary citizens …"

In addition, Oleg Morozov spoke out against the legalization of weapons; Vladimir Pligin; Mikhail Grishankov; Alexander Gurov.

As for the underworld, none of its representatives have spoken publicly on this issue. However, it is indisputable that all bandits, robbers, rapists and murderers are against legalization.

There is a proverb: "Tell me who your friend is, and I will tell you who you are." So opponents of legalization should think about who they ended up in the same boat with.

Moreover, all these characters are either under armed guard, or armed themselves (or have the ability to arm themselves).
