Pattern knitting

Knitted things in our life appear in the earliest childhood. Probably, each of us will remember the beautiful knitted mittens that warmed our hands in the winter cold. The history of knitting goes back more than one millennium.

They knitted without the help of any tools, just on the fingers, and the stems of plants were the first yarn. The needles appeared later. At first it was just a smooth twig of a tree. Back in the middle of the 19th century, in the Russian North, knitting needles were called rods. And they knitted warm things with beautiful multicolor patterns.

Rag dolls

The doll is the main one in the toy kingdom. It has been known since ancient times. The toy was made from various materials - clay, wood, porcelain and plastic, from plaster and papier-mâché. But a special place is occupied by tripic dolls. ease of manufacture and the use of improvised material made them widespread in all countries. In Russia, up to the 60s of the twentieth century, practically in every family, children played with rag dolls.

Pottery

Pottery is one of the oldest crafts on Earth. And from the very beginning, craft and art were very closely intertwined in it. It is believed that an ancient man accidentally burned a piece of clay in a fire. And, noticing that the clay had turned into stone, he began to make dishes out of it.
