Every big city has its own symbol. We say "Paris" and immediately a piece of iron from the Eiffel Tower appears. We say "Moscow" - and here it is, the multi-colored and three-dimensional temple of St. Basil the Blessed. We say "Rome" - the Colosseum, unfinished in the 17th century, appears.

We say "New York" - and before us is the greenish Isis with a man's face, the torch of Prometheus-Lucifer and pregnancy under the folds of her robe …

When we say “London,” whether you like it or not, but most often there is a beige Parliament cake with a Big Ben candle - a bell tower with a clock. Now ask your guide or open any popular travel guide and ask where this strange name comes from. You will find out several official versions. Firstly, Big Ben is not the entire tower initially, but one of its five bells, the largest, of course. In turn, the bell was named in honor of Sir Benjamin Hall, who was the supervisor of the construction work, or rather, he supervised the suspension of this very bell weighing more than 13 tons. Ben is short for Benjamin. They say that a corresponding commemorative inscription is even engraved on the bell. According to another version, the bell got its name from the nickname of the then popular English boxer, also Benjamin, only Count, whom the English fans called "The Giant of Thorkard" or … "Big Ben". By the way, as you probably know, in 2012 the Queen decided to name the Bell Tower of Parliament by her own name, so since then it has been listed in reference books as the Tower of Elizabeth.

But that was a story for the general public for which the above explanation is sufficient. Those who have an inquisitive mind and want to get to the bottom of the root causes of this or that phenomenon, think, look closely and gradually begin to see a slightly different reality …

In most of the cities listed above, and not only, there are Egyptian obelisks. In Moscow, however, we only have the Ostankino tower, but it is "irregular" in shape. In Paris, an obelisk stands on the Place de la Concorde. In Rome - on the square in the arms of Peter's Cathedral near the Vatican (not counting the many small ones scattered across different squares). In Washington - between the White House and the Capitol. There is no visible obelisk in New York, but there is a match for the Empire State Building. And in London? There is one small one, right on the Thames embankment (which, if you did not know, has an alternative name - The Isis … hmm, somewhere I already came across it), guarded by two at least Egyptian sphinxes. It is called Cleopatra's Needle. But the main obelisk in the British capital is still Big Ben. And in form, and in status, and in name. Yes, exactly by name. Because lovers of Egyptology and mythology are well aware of the Benben stone, which has a conical shape and is named after the primary hill on which the creator Atum thought about what kind of gods he should create. This stone was located in the city of the Sun - Heliopolis - in the temple, of course, of the Sun, since it was on it at one time that the first rays of the sun fell. It is believed that he became the prototype of both the obelisks and, in fact, the pyramids.

Two words about Isis, or Isis. In any reference book, you will find out that she is the main goddess of Egypt, she personified the throne (isis) of the Pharaoh (the throne was depicted right on her head), loved incestuous marriages, married her brother Osiris, gave birth to Horus from him, but her nasty Set he killed his husband-brother, dismembered and scattered pieces on the ground. It turned out a kind of Lego constructor, which Isis successfully assembled and even revived, but in which one rather big detail was missing, namely, what Ozirist conceived from his magic sister's son. Resourceful Isis carved this detail herself, they say, from gold. The result is a prototype of the obelisk.

In our time, the story of Isis has, you guessed it, an amusing continuation. The abbreviation ISIS is now commonly translated as ISIS. Since it is recent, it is fairly easy to find out where it comes from. In the video of the 90s (when there was not a word about ISIS and even about Al Qaeda), a talkative CIA officer first mentions ISIS and immediately decodes it as Israel Special Intelligence Service (Israel's special intelligence service). This is the second time you see the Isis acronym in a Japanese commercial for Toyota. If you take a closer look at the photographs of the Ishilovites, who, according to the official version, Arabs, attack fraternal Arab countries, but never - Israel, you will easily find that the only cars in which they drive around the deserts screaming and firing in front of the cameras of numerous of photographers and cameramen - these are Toyota pick-ups and jeeps in the amount of, they say, more than 800 pieces. Very professional product placement. Although when the Toyota leadership was asked how and why, the leadership threw up its hands. Someone even discovered the loss of eight hundred Toyota vehicles from a warehouse in Australia …

But back to London. Not far from Big Ben, on the opposite bank of the Isis River, sorry, the Thames, a new attraction has recently appeared - The London Eye, the London Eye, or, in a simple way, a Ferris wheel. If you want to know why the wheel is called an "eye", you will probably be told that at 135 meters it allows you to see the area for 25 km in all directions. Great! But why "eye" and not, say, "eyes"?

The eye, and one, as we are told, is a symbol no less ancient than the obelisk and the pyramid. Take, again, any reference book on the world of Freemasonry, on symbolism, and the US dollar alone will tell you all the details related to the Phoenix-eagle, the circumcised (not with Jews and Muslims it will be said) pyramid, constant number 13, etc. I'm not talking about mythology, the one-eyed Odin from Scandinavia (one eye of the god named Odin is, of course, just a coincidence, in no way connected with the Russian language, right?), About the emblems of hundreds of companies, photographs of celebrities covering their eyes and much, much more. I'm talking about something that's not quite on the surface. Do you know what the Ferris wheel capsule cabins are called in English? So I didn’t know for a long time. And they are called eye-pods. 32 booths in the shape of eyeballs, in which unsuspecting tourists, as usual, ride about anything for a lot of money. The London Eye itself, looking at both Houses of Parliament and Big Ben, is thus the 33rd in a row. Quite by accident, of course. And it is quite by chance that the word eye pod can be written as it is today in relation to the most beloved by many and absolutely harmless device in all respects - IP od. True, one question remains: who is looking at whom?..
