Does beer benefit the national economy? It is generally accepted that beer production and trade benefits the state budget. Based on this, the beer consumer is a true patriot of Russia, helping the domestic producer.

Currently, there are 296 breweries in the Russian Federation. Their absolute number belongs to foreign capital. For example, revenues from Nevsky beer go to Denmark, Holster beer - to Germany, Miller - to America, Stary Melnik - to Turkey, Fat Man - to Belgium, Bochkarev - to Spain, " Golden Barrel "- to South Africa. The profits from the beer of the Baltika concern, as well as from the OA Pikra beer, go to Scandinavia.

Despite the fact that beer has been known for a long time, and hops have been cultivated in Europe for about 1000 years, it is still not clear how this "drink" acts on the human body. On the one hand, in some books you can find whole odes to beer, ending with recommendations to drink beer for pregnant women, nursing mothers, to give beer to babies "for better sleep", on the other hand, the chief sanitary doctor of the Russian Federation Gennady Onishchenko says: "Not AIDS, not tuberculosis will ruin Russia, and beer alcoholism among the younger generation. " So where is the truth?

In this article, I will not talk much about the effect of alcohol contained in beer, but I will focus on other aspects: sexual disorders in beer consumers, the presence of psychoactive and narcotic substances in it, the presence in beer of compounds accompanying alcoholic fermentation - "fusel oils ". Finally, some of the social and economic aspects of drinking beer will be discussed.

It has long been noted that the use of alcoholic products leads to the feminization of men and the masculinization of women, i.e. in men, some female signs appear and impotence develops, and women become more "masculine" - the voice becomes coarse, character, and facial hair appears. Among all the variety of alcohol available at the moment, it is beer that has the most negative effect on the content of sex hormones in the body of men and women.

Official science got to the bottom of this phenomenon only in 1999. It turned out that the "cones" of hops, used to give beer a specific bitter taste, contain 8-prenylnaringenin (8-PN) - a substance belonging to the class of phytoestrogens ("phyto" is a plant, "estrogen" is a female sex hormone).

Similar compounds are found in some other plants, for example, in red clover, alfalfa. Traditional medicine has long known about this phenomenon, and therefore the shepherds carefully watched that the livestock did not consume too many of these plants. Otherwise, it threatens infertility, which was observed, for example, in Australia when grazing sheep exclusively on red clover.

However, it should be noted that 8-PN surpasses all other phytoestrogens in its hormonal power by 10-100 times and is close in activity to the human hormone estrogen. This fact has been actively discussed since 1999 in specialized scientific literature, but this information remains practically closed for a wide range of readers.

What are sex hormones?

Sex hormones regulate the formation and functioning of the genitals, the manifestation of secondary sexual characteristics and some aspects of human behavior. If we talk about the differences between a man and a woman, then they are primarily determined by the fact that a man's hormone (testosterone) is produced in a man's body, and a female hormone (estrogen) in a woman's body. It is the action of these substances that determines not only the external difference between a man and a woman (without them, the internal and external genital organs are not formed at all), but gives the man great muscle strength, a corresponding figure, facial hair, a man's voice and character, and a woman - a woman's figure, lack of facial hair, softer voice and feminine character.

If a person begins to take an unusual hormone, then his appearance, voice, character are rapidly changing. This is used by people who consciously want to change their gender.

An important feature of hormones is their high activity even at low concentrations. So, in the body of a healthy woman, only 0.3-0.7 mg of estrogen is produced per day, which corresponds by weight to half a grain of sugar! This amount is quite enough for a man to be a woman. The effective concentration of the female hormone in 1 liter of beer can reach 0.15 mg in terms of estrogen. Here, however, it should be noted that 90% of the phytoestrogen in beer is contained in an inactive form, but in 30% of Europeans the intestinal microflora works in such a way that it converts the hormone into an active form already inside the body - in the small intestine.

What does beer give a man?

A man, consuming beer, substantially replaces the male hormone with a female one in his own body. Previously, the male hormone gave him activity, volitional qualities, the desire to win, the desire to lead, but now we get a weak-willed, apathetic being of an intermediate kind, able only to lie on the couch and stupidly watch TV. Further irritability and bitchiness may appear.

The figure of such a creature also changes - the pelvis expands, fat is deposited according to the female type - on the thighs. The abdominal muscles weaken and a "beer belly" appears. The mammary glands are growing, now, swollen with fat, they dangle in front, in an interesting way complementing the look of this "man". According to some reports, in advanced cases, colostrum begins to ooze from these breasts.

The heart, forced every day to pump an excessive amount of liquid supplied with beer, noticeably increases in size, its walls become thinner and flabby, and outside it becomes overgrown with fat. Ischemic heart disease develops and the risk of heart attack increases, physical activity is tolerated more and more difficult, shortness of breath appears. Doctors call this syndrome "beer" or "Bavarian" heart.

The fulfillment of male duties becomes more and more problematic, impotence gradually develops, the attraction to a woman is replaced by the attraction to alcohol. Thus, the words of the first Reich Chancellor of Germany, Bismarck, are confirmed: "Beer makes them lazy, stupid and powerless" (meaning male powerlessness).

What does beer give to a woman?

The female body works more complicated and graceful than the male, in it the hormonal background changes significantly every month, and intrusion into this delicate mechanism by the introduction of phytoestrogens or other hormonal preparations threatens with serious consequences up to infertility (like sheep in Australia). In a normal state, a woman's body produces as much estrogen itself as she needs at the moment.

If a woman drinks beer and thus introduces an additional amount of female hormone into her body, then this can lead, as shown in experiments on rats, to an enlargement of the uterus, proliferation of tissues of the uterus and vagina, the release of excess secretions and mucus in the fallopian tubes, and menstrual irregularities. … All this calls into question the suitability of such a woman for procreation. The effects of hops on women have long been known. So, they tried not to use them for collecting hop "cones" on plantations, because with such work, most women soon began to bleed, regardless of the internal monthly cycle.

If in men drinking beer reduces attraction to the opposite sex, in women, on the contrary, it increases, which introduces disharmony in family relationships. It is especially sad to watch a girl with a bottle of beer in one hand and a cigarette in the other, hanging on some guy in full view of passers-by. This can be called the syndrome of "feline heat", when a girl's sex drive is so increased that she already loses her inherent modesty and begins to play an active, dominant role, imposing herself on the guy.

In passing, we note that a whole spectrum of phytoestrogens is found in tobacco smoke, and in men, smoking leads to impotence, which develops within 10-20 years. Heat is a state of insanity, when the mind is no longer able to control exaggerated desire. Unfortunately, girls sometimes take this as the norm and are unaware of the causes of this mental disorder - beer, smoking and accompanying advertising, imposing an appropriate lifestyle and behavior.

However, I do not want this article to be regarded as a call to switch from beer to stronger alcoholic products - wine and vodka. It is along this false path that the novice alcoholic is directed, gradually increasing the strength and the dose consumed! It should be noted that any alcohol leads to hormonal disorders in men and women, since over time alcohol inhibits functions and leads to degeneration of the tissues of the testes, ovaries, adrenal glands and liver, i.e. bodies that regulate human hormonal levels.

But alcohol inflicts the main blow on the brain, killing its cells and disrupting, first of all, the most delicate functions of the cerebral cortex. Thus, somewhat simplifying the problem, we can say that if a person wants to first become a moral monster, and only then impotent, then he drinks vodka, and if he prefers the opposite sequence - first impotence and only then moronism, then he drinks beer. A normal person does not need beer or vodka.

However, men and women addicted to beer can be reassured - having parted with this swill forever, they will give their body the opportunity to restore the original hormonal status and, over time, will be able to regain their lost health. But it can be very difficult for such people to give up beer at times. Why? Here it is appropriate to recall hops again.

About hops

From a botanical point of view, the closest relative of hops is hemp, they can even be crossed and obtained hybrids. Hemp is the source of drugs like marijuana and hashish. And in hops these drugs are also contained, albeit in a lower concentration. In addition, hops produce some morphine, the active principle of opium and heroin.

In fact, the alcohol contained in beer is also a drug for which a painful addiction is formed - this is the opinion of the World Health Organization, approved back in 1975. The same fact is noted in GOST 5964-82 for ethanol: "Ethyl alcohol - … refers to strong drugs." But the addiction to beer is formed more imperceptibly and faster than to other alcoholic products, and beer alcoholism is treated with even more difficulty than usual.

Thus, dividing drugs into "starting" and "finishing" drugs, we will classify tobacco and beer as starting drugs. Beer is especially dangerous because it is through it that children are introduced to alcohol very early, often up to 7 years of age. This circumstance has extremely negative consequences for the further mental, physical and sexual development of adolescents.

A few words about how traditional beer is made. Alcoholic fermentation is carried out on the basis of barley malt, the carbohydrates of which are processed by brewer's yeast into ethyl alcohol. However, in addition to ethyl alcohol, yeast always emit a whole "bunch" of substances - a wide range of alcohols (methyl, propyl, isoamyl, etc.), esters, aldehydes, ketones - everything that is called "fusel oils". As these poisons and ethyl alcohol accumulate, the yeast dies, because the environment becomes unsuitable for their further life. The finished beer is sold to consumers, sometimes without even filtering out the remains of these microorganisms.

The people correctly say: "Beer is not vodka." Indeed, according to its toxicological characteristics, beer, taking into account the consumed amount, is much worse than vodka, it is even worse than moonshine! After all, vodka producers use specially purified alcohol for its preparation. And although alcohol is a poison that primarily destroys the brain, they are proud to have cleansed it of fusel oils - even more toxic substances.

Even moonshiners do not just pour the mash into cans, but nevertheless they distill it, thereby at least partially clearing the alcohol from the heavy components of the booze. According to GOST R 51355-99 for vodka, the content of fusel oil in it cannot exceed 3 mg / l, and in beer the content of these toxins is 50-100 mg / l! That is why beer poisoning is more severe. However, the fusel flavor in beer is badly felt, because it is interrupted by the bitterness of the hops, specially added there. It is interesting to note that hop cones also contain some higher alcohols, some of which have a distinct effect on brain activity.

Large-scale studies of the effects of beer on the human body have not yet been carried out, which, incidentally, is understandable, given the interest of the parties. However, there is evidence that drinking beer increases the likelihood of developing breast cancer by more than 30%, and there is no clear dependence on the drinking dose of beer.

Beer causes a whole spectrum of eye diseases. The risk of developing cataracts and maculopathy (macular degeneration leading to blindness) increases by 1.5-3 times, and simultaneous smoking further enhances the negative effect.

Bad advice

Let's take a look at some of the harmful advice that wanders around in the books of "healers":

Advice on drinking beer for pregnant women can be considered criminal without exaggeration, and modern medicine never gives such advice! Alcohol, quickly penetrating into the fetal circulatory system, can manifest its mutagenic properties and lead to serious disturbances in the developing organs and systems of the baby. Studies have also found that drinking beer significantly reduces the level of both female and male hormones in the amniotic fluid, and the weight of newborns is markedly reduced.

Beer can lead to an increase in the amount of milk in a nursing mother, but in this case, from the very first days of life, the baby will begin to receive alcohol along with the mother's milk, which will have an extremely negative effect on the development of his organs and "reward" him with a predisposition to alcoholism.

Sometimes advice is given to giving babies a tablespoon of beer for better sleep, and it really works. However, not to mention the side-effects of narcotic substances, let us note only the effect of alcohol on the baby. Ethanol acts on the child's body 5 times stronger, and if we also take into account that its mass is 12-15 times less than the mass of his mother, then this dose of 15 grams of beer is equivalent to 1 liter for an adult. If his mother is not yet a fan of the intoxicating potion, then she can vividly imagine that stunned, nauseous state that a liter of beer, drunk in one gulp without a snack, would cause her.

Even one such experiment is a mockery of a child, but if you force a young mother to drink in this way for a month or two, then she has a direct road to a narcological dispensary - she is a beer alcoholic. By the way, in the USSR the specialty of a child narcologist was introduced in 1985, before that there was no … Do you want to provide them with work ?! They already have enough to do …

Why do people drink beer?

Lovers of this "drink" say they like the taste. However, most people recall that at first they did not like the taste of beer, they rather found it disgusting, but gradually they got used to it. This can be compared to the first puff of tobacco smoke - at first disgusting, but, overpowering oneself, they form this addiction.

Many beer drinkers refuse to consume non-alcoholic beer, citing the fact that it tastes worse, but statistical studies have shown that in closed-label tests, they do not distinguish non-alcoholic beer from regular beer. So why do they drink beer? At the first stage, they drink it to look "grown-up", and then they drink it only because it contains alcohol.

So it all comes down to the question, "Why do people get intoxicated?" It is interesting to note that in the USSR, beer consumption began to grow noticeably in the 70-80s, when the state tried in vain to replace vodka with weaker "products" and artificially lowered the price of beer. As a result, beer was in great demand precisely because it was the cheapest alcohol in terms of alcohol - one penny could buy 1.2-1.4 g of "beer" alcohol and only 0.5 g of vodka.

In 1960, per capita in the USSR per year there were 13 liters of beer, in 1970 - 16 liters, in 1980 - 24 liters, in 1985 - 18 liters, by 1990 consumption again rose to 23 liters, and then fell sharply due to a noticeable reduction in the price of vodka and the appearance of " drinking "alcohol - beer has become unprofitable to get drunk. However, by the mid-90s, the brewing industry in Russia began to recover: 1995 - 12 liters, 1998 - 22 liters, 1999 - 29 liters, 2000 - 37 liters. In 2005, the volume of the beer market is already estimated at 5 billion dollars, and consumption exceeded 60 liters of beer per capita!

What's happening?!

The beer market began to significantly reorient itself towards young people, for whom the price is not so much important as the "symbolic properties" of beer, actively promoted by advertising.

An important step was the amendment adopted in 1998 by the Duma with the active "assistance" of brewers, which removes beer from the law regulating the alcoholic beverages market. This allowed foreign corporations to come to our market, to establish large-scale production and sale of beer here, to launch a powerful advertising campaign, imposing the corresponding "values" on our boys and girls. Few suspect that most of the beer market is now controlled by foreign capital. Baltika is Scandinavia, Holsten is Germany, Nevskoe is Denmark, Miller is the USA, Stary Melnik is Turkey, Fat Man is Belgium, Bochkarev is Iceland, Zolotaya Bochka is South Africa.

Most of the raw materials are supplied from abroad. And what about Russia? From Russia - money. Your money … In Western Europe, beer consumption is decreasing, even in Germany and Belgium, but production is increasing. The surplus of this plebeian liquor is poured into third world countries.

Beer was considered a hoot for plebeians in the Roman Empire. The Roman citizens themselves did not drink beer, and the smerds who got drunk with beer were despised, considering them cattle. Thus, these foreign "benefactors" combine business with pleasure - they fill their pockets and cleanse our country of "superfluous" population. They are fulfilling the covenant voiced by Madeleine Albright (former US Secretary of State) in 2000: "According to the world community, it is economically expedient for 15 million people to live in Russia …".

The last wish to "Ivans" …

(Author unknown)

Brothers, but why should we combine the unpleasant with the useless and harmful ?! Over the past 10 years, according to official statistics, an average of 1.35 million people are born in Russia every year, and 2.20 million people die, of which ~ 700 thousand people are from reasons related to alcohol, and ~ 400 thousand people are from reasons related to smoking, from drugs. 50-100 thousand, suicides - 30-40 thousand, murders - 25-30 thousand people. Every fifth married couple is sterile.

What is our role in what is happening? Everyone decides for himself, but, to paraphrase the Kid, let's say: "Eh, Carlson, happiness is not in beer …". And in what? Have we forgotten that already? I believe that it is too early to give up on my people. Nobody can bury Russia from the outside. It's up to us, to each of us.
