The main character of the film is Alexander Ivanovich Zhikharev, the creator of the unique musical instrument “beater (flat bell)”. "Master of Sound" - his colleagues respectfully call the musician.
Alexander Ivanovich, combining the dry and clear language of mathematics (the uniqueness of the sound of flat bells lies in the accuracy of their tuning) with the inexpressibility, uncertainty, fluidity of music, found a treasure for himself - a harmony of extraordinary depth and antiquity. And he strives to share this treasure with everyone who is ready to accept it.
Often the people present at the concert become the authors of the melodies performed by the musician.
This film is filled not only with music, but also poetry and magic. Stories about the revival of the beater (flat bell), about the process and nuances of making a musical instrument, about the creative path of Alexander Ivanovich Zhikharev and the people with whom music brought him together, are skillfully woven by the director into a coherent picture with very interesting findings in terms of presentation of video material.
And, of course, the therapeutic effect of the effect of the sounds of flat bells on a person (bilotherapy) has not been ignored either.
