The shooting of the royal family: genetic examination and other inconsistencies

Speech by Doctor of Historical Sciences Yuri Zhukov during the round table of the Club of Left Historians and Social Scientists "The Truth about Nicholas II and His Reign: Facts and Figures" (Moscow, July 17, 2018).

The tradition of regicide in the Romanov empire has a fairly long tradition - Peter III, Paul I, Alexander II … The speaker strongly disagrees with the recognition of the fact that the family of the former Russian emperor was shot. Immediately after the Czechs occupied Yekaterinburg, 5 investigators worked on this case, but today they do not remember any of them, except for Sokolov, who left the book. The official version of the circumstances of the execution contains a lot of inconsistencies and raises a lot of questions. There is information about the correspondence before the German "revolution" between Berlin and Moscow about the possible exchange of Nicholas II and his wife for Karl Liebknecht and Rosa Luxemburg. In the Russian archives, there are no documents about the execution of the royal family, which leaves room for various (in addition to the official) versions and assumptions. The circumstances surrounding the discovery of the alleged “remains” and their “genetic examination” also suggest falsifications based on the goals of the current political situation.
