An example of how, behind small confirmations of conspiracy theories, or conspiracy theories, as they are sometimes called, they hide really important information without releasing it into the wide information space.

Translation of the article "The 15 Most Shocking Conspiracy Theories That Turned Out to be True", circulated by the US press

Conspiracy theorists are often viewed as paranoid. However, sometimes they suddenly turn out to be right - and the world gasps with amazement and horror. The proponents of these theories were also considered insane. But, no matter how wild their arguments once seemed, they, in the end, turned out to be true!

Mafia matters

For many years the existence of an underground organization of some Italian criminals, powerful enough to talk on equal terms with ministers and presidents, seemed to many to be a beautiful folk tale. All doubts were dispelled when, in 1963, Joe Valachi of the Genovese family became the first mafioso in history to agree to break his vow of silence and talk about the organization. He uncovered everything from the old secret rituals of the mafia to its ties to the US government and the CIA. He also introduced the legendary concept of "Cosa Nostra" into use. Since then, no one doubted the existence of the mafia and its power.

MK Ultra

During the Cold War, the intelligence and counterintelligence services of the leading world powers did not stand on ceremony with each other, and the active search by all sides for an effective "truth serum" for enemy spies was an open secret. However, the idea that the CIA would test serum samples on civilians seemed either gibberish or communist propaganda. The truth was discovered only in the early 1970s: indeed, since the early 50s, the CIA has been developing a "truth serum" on unsuspecting patients at the Allan Memorial Institute at McGill University in Montreal, Canada, who sought help in the treatment of mild neuroses and insomnia. They were treated with drugs and psychotropic substances, testing the ability of these drugs to influence consciousness. This program became known by its code name "MK Ultra". Already after the beginning of the investigation, in 1973, the CIA destroyed the key files of the program. So now no one knows for sure how many people have acted as guinea pigs and, most importantly, whether the program has now been terminated.

The scary truth about asbestos

The fact that asbestos is fatally harmful to health has been known for a long time. But the fact that the manufacturers were initially aware of the danger of this material was considered an evil slander. And in vain: a thorough investigation by American epidemiologists, carried out in 1962, showed that the producers of asbestos knew very well that it causes cancer, and yet they put it into circulation, seduced by high profits. The most unpleasant thing is that while the information was hiding, asbestos, being a durable and cheap material, managed to gain popularity in many countries of the world, some of which still cannot deal with the consequences.

Tuskegee's experiment

The study of syphilis, which took place from 1932 to 1972 in the state of Alabama, from the very beginning seemed to many not entirely ethical: after all, doctors only observed the development of the disease in hundreds of experimental subjects, but did not provide them with any medical care. Those who spoke with horror about inhuman experiments on people were considered alarmists: after all, doctors often hurt people, but only for their good! The whole truth was revealed in 1972 by the journalists of one of the American newspapers. The reality turned out to be more terrible than fiction: as it turned out, the doctors participating in the experiment not only prohibited the experimental subjects from taking penicillin, which could cure them, but also infected people with syphilis, in order to then observe a detailed clinical picture from the onset of the disease to the death of the object of observation. Only thanks to the intervention of the press, several dozen participants in the experiment managed to survive.

COINTELPRO

The existence of the FBI counterintelligence program, abbreviated as COINTELPRO, was not considered a special secret for many years: after all, counterintelligence is a normal activity of the state. The fact that the counterintelligence efforts of the FBI are directed not so much against Soviet spies as against their own citizens, was said only by rabid leftist anarchists. But these people still managed to prove their case: in 1971, they stole secret documents from the FBI and handed them over to the press. As it turned out from the documentation, the FBI counterintelligence officers were engaged not so much in catching foreign spies as in attempts to break up their own civil movements from within, from left-wing political groups to the movement for racial equality.

The assassination of Martin Luther King

The most famous fighter for the rights of the black population in the United States was killed by a racist fanatic. This version has not been questioned for many years. Only in 1999, several decades after King's death, it was possible to find out that the US government and special services were behind his murder. It was then that the relatives managed to find a witness who, after long years of silence, agreed to confess that he had received from the hands of the authorities 100 thousand dollars to pay the killer's fee.

Bohemian grove

A forest corner in California where the mighty gather every year to worship a giant owl statue? What nonsense! For many years the Bohemian Grove was considered only an elite closed men's club. But in 2000, volunteer brave souls managed to infiltrate the territory of the club and film what was happening there. As a result, two things became clear: firstly, only the main rulers of politics and business really gather in the Bohemian Grove, and not only from the United States, but also from other countries. And secondly, they really worship the 12m cement owl! What is most offensive, none of its participants wanted to explain the meaning of the ritual to the public. Now conspiracy theorists claim that the Bohemian Club is nothing more than a secret world government. Interestingly, will it be confirmed?

Operation Snow White

For many years, alarmists have shouted that the Church of Scientology is not just an organization of eccentrics worshiping an incomprehensible space race, but a totalitarian organization dreaming of world domination. And they were right! In 1971, thanks to former members of the church who managed to escape from it, the details of Operation Snow White, a plan for Scientologists to infiltrate the ruling circles of Western countries, became known. About 5,000 Scientology agents in 30 countries stole secret documents, drew up criminal files and, using blackmail or flattery, took control of top politicians, public figures and simply famous people. When the details of the conspiracy became known, many church leaders were arrested, and she herself was declared a totalitarian sect in many countries. However, Scientologists are still active today, and it is not known whether Operation Snow White actually ended.

Provocation with Naira

When, in November 1990, 15-year-old Kuwaiti girl Naira Al-Sabah spoke with tears in her eyes about how Iraqi soldiers were killing Kuwaiti babies, only hearts of stone did not flinch. The decision on armed support for Kuwait was taken without delay. It seemed that only the most hardened cynics could consider the girl's words as a provocation of the special services. However, after the US invasion of Iraq it became clear that it was they who correctly assessed the level of politicians' cynicism. Naira turned out to be the daughter of Saud Nasser Al-Saud Al-Sabah after Kuwait in the United States, and her angry speech was invented by specialists from a reputable PR agency hired by the Kuwaiti government to manipulate public opinion in the United States and around the world.

Lies about weapons of mass destruction in Iraq

In 2003, while seeking permission from Congress to invade Iraq, the Bush administration argued that a military operation was necessary to save the world from Iraqi weapons of mass destruction. Many arguments were presented in favor of its existence - with figures, facts, references to respected experts … The speeches of anti-war activists, who claimed that all this was a lie, composed by the government to achieve its own military goals, was considered by everyone to be enemy propaganda. And what? The Americans have never been able to find weapons of mass destruction in Iraq, and all evidence of their existence has indeed turned out to be a cleverly concocted fake.

Operation "Paperclip"

In 1945, just after the end of World War II, the idea of inviting Nazis to live and work in Western countries seemed wild to the citizens of the Allied countries. The people who argued that America would offer a contract even to the devil himself, if it would help her confront the Soviets, seemed to everyone to be provocateurs or crazy. But this is exactly what the American intelligence was doing, in the framework of the operation code-named "Skrepka", selecting from the number of prisoners of war important doctors, physicists and missilemen and offering them to change the filtration camp to a cozy "sharashka", and in the future - to their own office. The Germans, of course, agreed - and gradually moved to the United States. At the same time, among them were real Nazis, who received new documents and biographies from intelligence. The details of Operation Paperclip became known only in the 1970s - and it came as a real shock. So, in San Antonio in 1977, it was even necessary to rename the library of aviation medicine named after Hubertus Strughold, because, as it turned out, this respected scientist in America was one of the active participants in cruel experiments on people in the Dachau concentration camp.

Intelligence agencies are watching everyone. Literally behind everyone

For years, conspiracy theorists have been talking about the fact that the US special services shamelessly violate the right of citizens to privacy by spying and eavesdropping. But it took Edward Snowden for the world to know that the US National Security Agency really does not put the right of citizens to privacy at all, listening to the conversations of literally everyone - from a simple Internet user from somewhere in Arizona to the German Chancellor and the President of France. True, Snowden had to save his life outside the United States because of his confessions. And modern conspiracy theorists argue that since then the scale of Operation Wiretapping has become even wider. Is it really true?

Operation Fast and Furious

Mexican drug cartels are officially recognized as one of the threats to the security of the United States: at least, the American special services loudly declare this. For a long time, only conspiracy theorists have been talking about the fact that the same special services are secretly doing business with the drug lords of Mexico. However, in 2012, it became known about the operation "Fast and Furious" developed by the CIA, during which about 1,400 units of modern weapons were sold to Mexican drug cartels. When the truth came out, the CIA announced that it was a special operation aimed at breaking up the criminal syndicates from within. But from the very beginning of the investigation, it became clear that all these were just excuses. What goals were actually pursued by the US special services and how many weapons leaked to drug traffickers is still unclear.

CIA dealing in drugs

This conspiracy theory is one of the most confirmed in history. In 1996, the American press wrote that the CIA knew about the supply of crack cocaine by Nicaraguan Contras to the United States and did nothing to stop the flow of drugs. And in the early 2000s, there were a lot of publications that the CIA also controls the entire supply chain of opium from Afghanistan - from the cultivation of opium poppy to the illegal transportation of the finished product into the country. The evidence gathered by the journalists is compelling, and the eloquent silence of the CIA and the authorities in general speaks of its truth best.

In my opinion, such "revelations" are not intended to prove that "conspiracy theories" are in fact most often not the ravings of madmen, but a tragic reality - this is not a revelation! This, in turn, is a method of disinformation. In fact, exposing a trifle, the authors of this information prove to the "suckers" that the media press is so "honest" that if something happens, the whole truth will tell the citizens. And how!

Where can you find a more proven "conspiracy theory" than the lie of the American moon landing? Not only in the world or in friendly Great Britain, but also in the United States itself, this lie is exposed or ridiculed even in feature films.

But, as you can see, there is silence about the lie with the "landing on the moon" in this material!

Or, say, in the material there is complete silence about the events of September 11 in New York. Yes, the assassination of Martin Luther King by the US government 50 years ago is certainly interesting. But are we not interested in the murder by the same government (only more cynical) of the United States in the not so distant 2001 of almost three thousand people in order to get a pretext for world robbery?

It is necessary to expose, of course, any meanness of the monsters in power - even petty ones. But when big ones are hidden behind small revelations, this is not revelation - it is helping government criminals.
