I faced the problem of childhood hyperactivity while in the USA. My expat lover introduced me to his children from a divorce from an American woman. All the children were in diapers (3, 6 and 8 years old), and the youngest was constantly sucking on the pacifier. Children could not eat at the table: they put a piece in their mouths and then ran around the room, lying on the floor.

The children did not respond to their names. Their games were also kind of meaningless: racing around the house, pushing each other to tears. Most of the time, the children watched TV and fought in front of it.

A boy aged 8 years 6 months was on tablets for "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder". When he was on pills, he retired alone into the room, quietly reading a book, not being naughty. When they forgot to give the pill, he behaved like sisters - like a small animal. The pills caused him stomach pains, poor appetite, dizziness, night hallucinations: he heard screams and saw monsters. He could not sleep without light. Regularly from the age of 5, his mother took him to psychotherapy.

As their father said, the children were raised by nannies, since the family was rich, and the mother took care of herself. Over the next three months, during the visits of the children to their father, I taught them to go to the toilet. And then she advised me to take the boy off the pills, since, according to my observations, he was absolutely healthy. All his diseases indicated in the medical record, such as urinary incontinence, feces, hyperactivity, were direct consequences of upbringing.

The father used his parental rights and forbade further treatment of his son.

Exactly one month later, a summons came to court: the mother was suing for putting her son back into psychiatric treatment. And, as you might expect, the child's protection was heaped on me. The lawyers only undertook to go to hearings, as they said that not a single judge would go against psychiatrists. And the psychiatrists did not listen to the father - they need a patient, not a healthy child.

But then my good Russian education worked. First, I brought up all the government documents with data on child mortality from psychotropic drugs. Everything is on the Internet. All these drugs are no less a part of the cocaine group and add drugs to the child.

Secondly, I tracked down the entire medical history of the child, and deciphered all the records. And then she showed that all the tests that the child received from psychiatrists were passed with a bang, but the doctors paid attention not to them, but to the complaints of the mother.

Every school record and grade has been analyzed by me. I filmed and formalized all the witnesses. As a result, after a year of struggle, contrary to the established practice, the judge issued a verdict against the mother and against the psychiatrists.

Currently, the child is completely healthy and trained in the rules of behavior.

"Hyperactivity" and "attention deficit" children are actually just passivity and lack of attention of parents to children. TV and electronic games give children impulses for action, while they remain sitting on the couch, unspent physical energy accumulates. The child throws it out after.

Lack of discipline preserves wildness in children: they screech in supermarkets, race non-stop, etc. And the absence of a parent in their cares and affairs makes children empty, empty.

Don't be afraid to bring up children! Do not poison them with Ritalin, Concert and other rubbish. Fictional diseases are an excuse for parental irresponsibility. The pill generation of Americans are like zombies. Their brain contacts were destroyed by the pills at a tender age. Devastated, disobedient to themselves, children slip into depression. And then they try to cheer up with a drug, to which they have already been accustomed from childhood in the form of mood regulators. Don't fall for this infection, Russians, don't kill your children!

From personal experience …….

Everyone knows what hyper muscle tone and hyper excitability are? So there is one simplest way to treat these conditions in children (it is also possible in adults). It's just that such children have a terrible deficit of tactile affectionate sensations and a deficit of calm, loving and supportive communication. The recipe is as simple as two plus two! Hug and pet the children often. Engage in more communication with your child, play a variety of games with him, especially those games where tactile contact is needed. And you will be surprised how soon your hyper active baby will relax, how the muscles twisted into knots and ropes will start to disappear, how the psyche, sleep will gradually recover, you simply will not recognize your child at all, because he (the child), instead of grief and difficulties, will bring joy to you, and his smiles, instead of tears or a roar.

Ps: Everything ingenious is simple!

Why kids are restless: and what can we do about it

A complete stranger pours out his heart over the phone. She complains that her six-year-old son is completely unable to sit still when he is in class. The school wants to test him for ADHD (attention deficit hyperactivity disorder). This is so familiar, I thought to myself. As a practicing pediatrician, I have noticed one common problem these days.

A mother complains that her son comes home every day with a yellow sticker-smile (grading system in some schools in the USA, Canada, etc. - translator's note) The rest of the children come home with green stickers for good behavior. Every day this child is reminded that his behavior is unacceptable simply because he cannot sit still for long periods of time.

Mom starts to cry. “He starts saying things like“I hate myself,”“I'm not good for anything.”This boy's self-esteem drops dramatically because he needs to move much more often.

Over the past ten years, more and more children have been reported to have attention problems and possible ADHD. A local elementary school teacher tells me that at least eight out of twenty-two students have difficulty concentrating on the positive aspects of the day. At the same time, children are expected to be able to sit for longer periods of time. By the way, even children in kindergarten have to sit for thirty minutes during the welcome circle in some schools.

The problem is that these days children are constantly upright. And it's pretty rare to see a child rolling down a mountain, climbing trees, spinning around just for fun. Carousels and rocking chairs are things of the past.

Holidays and breaks have become shorter due to increased educational requirements, children rarely play outside due to parental fears, responsibilities and hectic schedules of modern society. Let's face it, kids don't move enough for them and this really becomes a problem.

Most recently, I watched the fifth grade at the request of the teacher. I quietly entered and sat down on the last desk. The teacher read a book to the children and this continued until the end of the lesson. I've never seen anything like it. Children swung in their chairs to an extremely dangerous tilt angle, some swung their bodies back and forth, some chewed the tips of their pencils, and one child banged a water bottle on his forehead in a certain rhythm.

It was not a class for special children, a typical class in a popular art school. At first I thought that, probably, the children are restless due to the fact that it was already the end of the day and they were simply tired. Even if it may have been part of the problem, there was, of course, another, deeper reason.

We quickly found out after some tests that most of the children in the class have difficulty coordinating their movements. By the way, we tested a few more classes from the early 80s, where only one in twelve children had normal motor coordination. Only one! Oh Lord, I thought. These kids need to move!

Paradoxically, many children around have an underdeveloped vestibular apparatus due to limited movement. In order to develop it, children need to move their body in different directions, sometimes for hours. This is about the same as with sports, they have to do it much more often than once a week to get the result. Plus, going to football once or twice a week isn't enough to develop a strong sensory system.

Children come to class with bodies less prepared for learning than ever before. With a sensory system that doesn't work as it should, they also have to sit still and focus. Children naturally become restless, because their bodies so eagerly need movement and it is not enough for them to simply "turn the brain to work." What happens when children start spinning and spinning? We ask them to sit quietly and concentrate. As a result, their brains begin to "fall asleep".

Restlessness is a real problem. This is a strong indicator that children are not getting enough exercise during the day. Let's summarize. Holidays and breaks should be increased and children should play outside as soon as they return from school. Twenty minutes to drive a day is not enough! They need hours of outdoor play to build a healthy sensory system and maintain high levels of attention and learning in the classroom.

In order for children to learn, they need to be able to concentrate. In order for them to concentrate, we need to let them move.
