If you ever want to know the meaning of the North Russian ornaments, then first you have to understand the Old Slavic calendar, since they are inseparable in meaning from each other.

Several years ago I came across such a curious fact, which seemed very strange to me at first. In one of her interviews, ethnographer and folklorist Zharnikova Svetlana Vasilievna said that "the North Russian ornament is a certain code, the meaning of which we do not know." There was no limit to my amazement. Yes, just imagine, a person lives his own life and does not know that in the big world of science called history, it is no longer known what our ancient ornaments mean. The surprise was really great because in my childhood, from our village grandmothers, no, no, yes, and the decoding of one meaning, then another … spirals before the solstice and down the same spiral after. So now women crochet rugs, repeating the path of our luminary.

I will immediately inform the dear reader that there is not any mistake in the title of the article: in the old Russian usage, there were synonyms "Evil" = "CAT" = "SWINGER" = "Spindle". And therefore, "Evil-that Baba", "Spindle-Baba" and the ancient goddess Makosh - the patroness of all spinners - are all one and the same Great Goddess of time. On the vast fields of the Internet, you can find anything you like except the ancient Slavic calendar, which this goddess personified.

The readings were based on the mixing of the sunrises above the Earth's horizon of celestial bodies, constellations and planets of the solar system, visible to the naked eye.

The structure of the calendar was three-level. The first level of counting was responsible for the earth years. Time was counted in three circles: solar, lunar and stellar. Initially, the "circle of the sun" was equal to 18, the "circle to the moon" - 16 and the "star" - 25 years. More details about this calendar can be found in the "Explanatory Paley" - an old Russian Bible. It was reset to zero ORIGINAL once for 7200 years. This is a magic number, please remember it, it will be met again.

It is worth making some digression here and talking about the extra days coming in … Have you ever wondered how long ago you found out about one quarter of the day that comes in every year. Imagine, this was well known in the old days. "Responsibility" for accounting for the term of this form of homeland was assigned to the Goddess Lada. True, the birth of children was celebrated once every 16 years and this year was called sacred.

For the sake of fairness, I must say that I came across another variant of decoding - the birth of the mother itself and her three babies "Trojans", but this was an isolated case in the Siberian area where I live. Why was it celebrated exactly once every sixteen years? Yes, because in the old days the understanding of time was likened to the structure of human life with its mystery of the birth of a child by a mother. And before the age of 16, a woman should not give birth - it is life-threatening … "A diamond with a dot or just a dot" meant a day. "Rhombus without a dot" meant a week or nine days: yes, yes, in the old days a week consisted of 9 days. In the waist, linear ornaments, the "rhombus on the side" denoted the year. "A rhombus with a dot on a woman's body" meant a born extra day and this sign became an indissoluble symbol of the second circle of time. In addition to the birth of one day in four years, the ancestors believed that every 18 months or 1.5 years, another second is born. The very same baby-day was born in 129600 years. Ten children were born in 1.296.000 years, which is the time of the full revolution of the sunrises observed on the day of the winter solstice not more south of the 62nd parallel and the event was called "the phenomenon of the great mother of time Makosh-Mary" (or simply Mara, that is, the guardian).

She was called a keeper because she was just a part of an even greater circle of time. We met her on the day of the winter solstice, when the Heavenly Blacksmith (now the constellation Orion, on foreign maps of the starry sky is listed as Hercules) "forged the black sun into white, so that sparks flew and the stars were born from them." Why was such a calculation necessary? The manifested Makosh-Mara with her baby days was "lowered" from the celestial spheres onto the sinful earthly calendar of the first level of counting, distributing it in three circles (solar, lunar and stellar) in a special way. It was literally a mathematical way of calculating the change in the earth's rotation.

Now back to the number 7200, I asked you to remember it. During this time, another 2 seconds leaked, in addition to those already specified. That is, for 3600 years, 1 second flowed, but the structure of our ancient solar sanctuaries was such that it was possible to establish a change only in 7200 years - so tiny was the displacement of the shadow on the day of the summer solstice from the central wooden pillar of the sanctuary on a small wooden "sacrificial" column: literally the size of an annual ring on a tree cut. The shadow spiraled 3600 years to the right, then 3600 years to the left, and only twice in 7200 years returned to the center with a tiny offset. The third circle of time was calculated based on the birth of this second. And such a day came only after 311.040.000 years. The birth of the baby day was celebrated on the summer solstice together with the appearance of the "body of time" of the Goddess Makosh herself. During this time, 24 Goddesses Makosh-Mary and 240 children-Dolek were born. Only one day - the "child" of the third round of the account was "Unborn". It was graphically depicted as a "double circle with a dot inside."

Since “Nedolka” grew out of the same time as “Lobule”, and the main body of the time of Makosh-Mary and Makosha are inseparable from each other in their essence, mothers were depicted in embroidery as "three-in-one" nesting dolls; in the pictures it looked like "A mother with a child on her knees and another one standing next to it." This is exactly how they were depicted on their maps by foreigners back in the 16th century.

And in exactly the same way she was depicted in a sculptural form with us, only lying on her back.

Difficult, but interesting, right? However, this is not all. There was another, the Great Circle of Time, a multiple of the "NON-Freeborn". In fact, in the legends it was called "the time of arrival of Utitsa to her lost baby-egg" or "the bird-Virgo flying to her constricted one (which should die on the day-moment of the meeting)". This legend goes back to the so-called sighting stone "Latyr (Alatyr)" or Uda-stone, as it was once called (that is, "the stone of sunrises"). When the constellation now called Cygnus makes its full revolution of sunrise around the earth in a special place of observation and conventionally touches this egg-shaped stone with its stellar beak, "the appearance of the body of time of the Goddess Hwa (or Sva) will take place. And the stone must again" shine ", because it should happen coincidence of the Sky Smith's reforging of "Black Sunrise to White" on the winter solstice.

The name of the ancient Goddess can be found in the REAL decree of Peter 1 on the abolition of the Old Church Slavonic calendar and the introduction of 1700 according to the European chronology: "… not at Christmas HVA …". I suggest the readers themselves calculate the indicated full period: take the traditional Semyonovskaya nesting doll, 10th in seniority out of 12, count the number of spirals on its head + the face itself as an incomplete circle and multiply by the time of the Goddess Mokosha of the third circle.

And you probably thought that all ancient knowledge has been lost? Not! The ancestors found several ways to transfer knowledge and put them into our children's hands in the form of toys. You just need to know which first key figure to substitute in the calculations: the number of days consecrated by the Sun in a year for the ancient "Latyr (sighting) stone" in the Arctic, that is, 360.
