Samarskaya Luka is the cradle of world civilization. This is the opinion of the Samara writer, Slavic ethnographer and local historian Yevgeny Bazhanov. In search of proofs of the theory of "the origin of civilization from Samara Luka," a local historian with his comrades-in-arms traveled more than one thousand kilometers, visited the distant corners of the Samara region, on the Penza land and in the famous Ural Arkaim. Traces of dew were found throughout the Volga and Urals, discovering not only many ancient names confirming the close relationship of Russian and Indian-Iranian mythology, but also amazing artifacts.

In Samarskaya Luka, for example, they found cult stones with a hollow in the middle for gifts and offerings. They also found fragments of weapons dating back to the beginning of our era - to a time that archaeologists do not recognize as "civilized" for our region. And in the traditions of some Volga villages, they found signs of lunar and sun worship. They can be traced in the patterns of door frames and shutters of houses. By the way, it was the inhabitants of these places that the Egyptian historian Ptolemy characterized as sun worshipers, calling them dews back in the II century BC.

An amazing discovery awaited researchers almost near Samara - on the spit of the Volga and Usa rivers, near the village of Zhiguli. Locals have long been talking about strange circles, clearly distinguishable only from a great height. Some old-timers considered them to be the work of ameliorators, while others claimed that these were the remains of ancient fortifications. Bazhanov's group took photographs of the area from a bird's-eye view, and made the necessary measurements on the ground. The result was shocking. In the very heart of Samarskaya Luka there is a classic sanctuary for sun and moon worshipers. Similar temples have already been found in Russia. One of the temples was recently discovered near Novgorod, two more - near Smolensk and Pskov.

“But our Samara temple is grander,” says Evgeny Bazhanov. - Its remains are a large circle. In the center is a disc, symbolizing the sun and the moon at the same time, because these are two crescents, two phases of the moon. A car can pass between these two halves - so the disk is huge. Its diameter is about 50 meters, the width of the shaft is 6 meters, and its height is almost 3 meters. Around the "sun" there are small disks, "stars" with a diameter of about 25 meters. They are all at an equal distance from the "sun" and from each other. An extraordinary structure! The stars are composed of a large sickle and a small shaft. But each "star" has "horns" - small mounds on the edge of the ramparts - directed in different directions. It's like the moon changes phases as it moves around the sun! Unique object! We named it "Solun" - "Sun-Moon".

According to Yevgeny Bazhanov, the builders of the "Solun" temple did not just erect a grandiose religious building - they constructed a carriage of the sun god on earth, later called Surya in Hindu mythology. And the “Solun” temple itself was built inside a much larger natural “temple”, where a single disk of the “Sun” is Samarskaya Luka, framed by two “crescents” - Usoy and Volga. The "Olympic" scale allowed the local historian to conclude that Samarskaya Luka is not only a natural monument. For the ancient Aryans and dews, it was the abode of the gods.
