Charles II the Mad is the last representative of the Habsburg dynasty in Spain.
The House of Habsburgs was considered the most powerful dynasty in medieval and Renaissance Europe. At the beginning of the XII century, the family dominated in Switzerland, Austria, Hungary, Italy, Spain. By the 16th century, representatives of the dynasty had already expanded their influence in the Philippines and America. However, their successful reign had a dramatic end due to inbreeding problems.
Distinctive features of the representatives of the Habsburg dynasty were a bulging chin and lips, as well as a high mortality rate among newborns. By the time the last representative of the family who occupied the Spanish throne, Charles II, was born, the inbreeding coefficient was 25%, that is, almost 80% of marriages were concluded between close relatives.
Charles II became the most visible victim of prolonged incest. From the very birth, the king had a whole "bouquet" of various diseases, including epilepsy. If the average person in the fifth generation boasts 32 different ancestors, then Charles II had only 10, and 8 of them originated from Queen Juana I the Mad.
Due to such a strong incest, the appearance of the king suffered. Charles II's characteristic Habsburg chin acquired an exaggerated shape. His elongated lower jaw and tongue did not allow the king to chew food and express himself normally. With a height of 192 cm, the king also had a very large head. The monarch began to walk and spoke very late. This also happened because Charles II was a long-awaited heir. His brothers and sisters died early, so the king was treated like a baby until he was 10 years old.
While his mother, Queen Regent Marianne, ruled the state, Charles II played with dwarfs in the palace. The king was not taught anything, but only took care of his health. This was manifested in the conduct of rites of exorcism (casting out demons). Because of this, Charles II received the nickname El Hachizado, or "The Enchanted".
The king died at the age of 38, which was even too long for people with so many diseases. He left no heirs, because he was not capable of conception. Thus, the once most influential ruling dynasty in Europe literally degenerated.
During the 35-year reign of Charles II, Spain was devastated. It has become a second-rate country. When the king was gone, the country was literally torn apart, leading to the outbreak of the War of the Spanish Succession.

Duck tales or what the lip augmentation fashion leads to
Plump, mouth-watering lips are in vogue, however, for most women who have resorted to Botox, the result looks pretty deplorable. Most often, lips look unnatural, strange and absurd. As if the ladies climbed into the apiary and stole honey from the bees, and then, of course, paid for it. And it also looks like all women with pouting lips are pretending to be in a horror movie
