But this is just another advertising suggestion that you can look good only at the expense of expensive hair care products.

Almost all shampoos now contain propylene glycol and sodium lauryl sulfate, two of the most harmful chemicals. They have been proven to dry out the skin, negatively affect the liver, harm the eyes, and also impair memory. Once I decided to buy a baby "soft" shampoo - I thought there were fewer harmful substances. And she was mistaken - sodium lauryl sulfate in the composition was in the first place (which means that it was contained there most of all). So be careful.

In general, lathering and cleansing the scalp and hair are two different things. Lather is formed due to the presence of caustic soda in detergents. And the skin's reaction is slightly acidic. Therefore, the alkali literally peels off the protective layer from the skin. Because of this, the skin can be affected by dermatoses and other skin diseases. Although, of course, homemade soap-based shampoos are still much better than purchased ones. Here I want to give several recipes for natural shampoos, from which everyone can choose something for themselves:

1) ALMOST SHAMPOO: 1-2 tbsp. l. basil, nettle or dandelion, a glass of clean water, 60 ml of toilet or better liquid soap (just check it for harmful substances), 15 to 60 drops of an essential oil that suits you, for example, cedar, 1 tsp. some vegetable oil (sunflower, cedar). Make a decoction or infusion of the herb and add all the other ingredients there, mix well. Rinse aid: water acidified with vinegar, herbal decoctions. If your hair is oily, you can reduce the amount of oil, if you have dry hair, increase it. This shampoo can be kept in the refrigerator for up to a week. If at the time of preparation one teaspoon of vodka is added to the composition, then the shelf life increases to 3-4 weeks.

2) MUSTARD SHAMPOO - MASK WITHOUT SOAP AT ALL. Take 1 tbsp. a spoonful of mustard powder, dilute with kefir to the consistency of sour cream, add 1 yolk, 1 teaspoon of honey, 1 teaspoon of vegetable oil, Apply this mixture to dirty hair, along the entire length and on the skin, massage, cover with polyethylene and on top with a woolen hat. Keep the mixture as long as you can tolerate it, it is better for 15-20 minutes. Then rinse with water. Rinse aid: water acidified with vinegar, herbal decoctions. Effect: stimulation of hair follicles, blood flow to the scalp, additional nutrition. Or this option for oily hair: dilute 1 tablespoon of mustard in 2 liters of warm water. Wash your hair, rinse it with an infusion of herbs: coltsfoot, nettle, St. John's wort, plantain. Take 4 tablespoons of the mixture, pour 2 liters of boiling water, let it brew for 30 minutes, strain.

3) SHAMPOO "BREAD", WITHOUT SOAP AT ALL. Take 4-6 slices of black bread (depending on the length of your hair), put in a stack in a container, pour boiling water over and leave overnight. In the morning you will have bread gruel, and wash your hair with it. Rinse aid: water acidified with vinegar, herbal decoctions. Effect: clean, shiny hair. Or a similar recipe for oily hair: pour boiling water over 150 g of rye bread. Lather your head with gruel, hold for 5-10 minutes. Then rinse hair thoroughly with water. To give them a beautiful shine, they are rinsed with an infusion of birch leaves.

4) SHAMPOO FOR MEDIUM HAIR: 1 yolk and half a glass of kefir. If the hair is long or heavily soiled, then the amount of yolk and kefir can be increased. Rub the mixture into your hair, rinse and then rinse with alkaline water (for 3 liters of water, half a teaspoon of baking soda). You can also rinse your hair with herbal teas or add half a teaspoon of some vegetable oil. This recipe is not suitable for all hair. It can be used as a hair mask before regular shampooing.

5) WASHING HAIR WITH SOUR MILK. Sour milk is an ancient folk remedy for washing hair. Since ancient times, many peoples of Central Asia have used lactic acid products for this purpose. And now they wash their heads with yogurt, kefir, whey. Lactic acid products create a fatty film that protects hair from damage by an alkaline solution formed when soap is dissolved in water. You need to take, say, yogurt, moisten your head abundantly with it, cover it with a plastic kerchief, and on top with a terry towel. After 25-30 minutes, rinse your hair in a foam of overfed toilet soap, such as "Baby", rinse thoroughly simply with warm water, and then with acidified water (1 tablespoon of vinegar per 2 liters of water).

6) WASHING THE HEAD WITH THE BREW OF MEDICINAL SOAP. Pour two packages of soapy water (200 g) with two liters of water and boil for half an hour. In this broth, wash your hair without soap and shampoo, rinse with plain water, or even better - with chamomile infusion, if the hair is light, and with a decoction of oak bark - if dark.

7) WASHING THE HAIR WITH PUMP. Pour 1 tablespoon of tansy with 2 cups of boiling water, leave for 2 hours. With a strained infusion, wash your hair without soap for a month. This remedy is used to eliminate dandruff.

There are many more recipes. The main thing to remember when using natural shampoos is that the effect does not appear immediately, and that you need to rinse your hair with herbal infusions or soften hard tap water with apple cider vinegar.

I would also like to tell you about a natural hair styling product, not quite Siberian, but still better than commercially available hairsprays with their poisonous smell.

POLISH FOR HAIR. Cut the lemon into slices and boil it in a glass of water until half of the liquid remains, then filter and add a few drops of alcohol (or vodka) for preservation. Apply to hair with a spray bottle. Perfectly cares for hair and keeps styling.

LIQUOR

You can also substitute shampoo and soap. Lye is the consistency of ash infused with water. Lye in the ecovillage is used for bathing and washing. Unlike the various detergents sold in stores, this is a completely natural substance!

Washing hair with ash is one of the ancient remedies used by our great-grandmothers. You can use it on occasion. Dilute a glass of wood ash with water until the consistency of sour cream and apply to wet hair with massaging hand movements. After washing your hair with warm water, rinse it with acidified water (with the addition of vinegar).

Lye making (cold method):

How to replace shampoo? Folk recipes Pour ash (it is clear that it is pure wood) 2/3 of the bucket, pour water almost to the top, stir, remove large pieces of garbage, leave to settle for 3 days (do not stir any more).

After 3 days, there will be a clear liquid in the upper half of the bucket, this is the lye, it feels soapy to the touch. Then suck off the lye with a pear and pour it into a container. The lye will be very concentrated. You will have to get used to diluting (about 1/10) it with water.

If you wash with a highly concentrated lye, then the clothes will wear out quickly.

With a well-diluted lye, you can wash your head and your body.
